When I NEED Bloodwork DONE for any of my Doctors,[Except for my Primary care Dr] I always use a Baptist Hospital Quest Lab.. Because they're conveniently located usually RIGHT around the corner somewhere. And the one on Hwy.98 is approximately 8 minutes or so from my house. Thank YOU so much for being so friendly. This is a poorly managed clinic. They don't explain things to the patient. They didn't explain anything to my wife, so we wasted our time coming to the doctor's appointment today. Nobody bothered to tell her to come in days earlier to get a blood test before the appointment. They also advertise that it's easy to use their Patient Portal, but it's been a nightmare for us. We created an account last week, but the doctor and Westside clinic don't appear in the Portal's list of clinics. My wife called the support number she was given, but they were giving her phone numbers for New York and running her around. Nobody helped her. It became too frustrating, so we gave up on the Patient Portal. After being brushed off today at the clinic, we finally had enough of their nonsense and decided to go elsewhere. These people need to start taking their business a lot more seriously, because this is totally unacceptable. The woman at the check-in today just sat there like an idiot, telling my wife to come back at the end of September. My wife fasted for the test. Why couldn't she get a blood test today? My wife first made an appointment in June to get tested for diabetes. She met with the new doctor in July (who did nothing but charge us for the visit), and my wife was told to come back in August, but no one explained about the blood test (which she thought she'd get today); and now were being brushed off again and told to wait until the end of September. I thought I had found the perfect doctor, however, in three months I have only been able to see her once for about 15 minutes despite numerous attempts to be seen. This office has clearly taken on too many patients. Every time I call I am told to "go to urgent care" 30 min across town. When I arrived for my appointment today, despite telling them I have been in constant pain waiting TWO WEEKS to be seen, I was told they cannot see patients because they have no water and again sent to urgent care. What is the point of having a PCP if all they do is send you to an ER?? Looking at other reviews it is obvious the problems with the office staff are not being addressed, so I will just have to find another provider. read more

I personally just go here for bloodwork, so I can't speak about the practice, only the ladies that I talk to. Every one I have come contact with has been very easy to talk to, friendly very good at what they do and above all put me at ease getting prepared for my blood draw. I wold not hesitate to make a five star recommendation to any one who asked me. read more

Had my first new patient visit with Dr. Catherine Almazan. As a retired RN I can say I am very impressed with the initial interview and thoroughness of the exam as well as the expertise Dr. Amazon has. I am very pleased to now have her as my physician and can highly recommend her. Also of note, lab service is available on site as well as I had X-rays done on site right after my doctors visit. I can highly recommend Dr Almazan and my husband is making a new patient appointment to see her too. The staff were all courteous and friendly. read more

This morning I went to the lab for blood work required before an upcoming doctor appointment. The lab opens at 7:00 a.m. I got there at 6:50 a.m. and was #5 in line. To start the day the lab opened late at approximately 7:10 a.m. Through the door a lot of laughter and conversation could be heard but no one was called back. These times can be verified since all patients put in the time that they are treated. It took so long that several people complained to the office staff and two left because they were going to be late for work. The front desk person came out and apologiized saying they were training a new person. I saw four people enter the lab. When I was called back only 2 were visible. I was number 5 on the list and was not taken back until 7:58 a.m. My labs were finished in less than 5 minutes. I wen to to that location because it was the closest to my home and a previous visit was fine. Next time I will probably choose another facility. It will be less frustrating for me to know it is going to take more time to drive than to sit in a waiting room for a ridiculous amount of time while listening to the staff playing instead of working. read more

This is the worse place you could possibly chose for your medical health care. I have been a patient several years but in 2016, there was a major change in doctors and staff. The doctors retired and gradually the staff were no longer practicing there. Since the changeover there has been major changes in services and you can not depend on the service you would expect. There are longer than usual wait times. I was interested in the weight loss program and any time I call the person answering the call have absolutely no information about the program and I have to wait for them to find out how to schedule the appointment. The people answering the phone don't even know the person I am supposed to see. The program includes weekly B12 shots. I've called several times to schedule an appointment for the shot and I'm told there is no need for an appointment I can come any time except between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm because they are closed for lunch. This time is a moving target and when I go before 1:00 pm, I'm told the lunch time is different. Because of the time changing every time I go to get the shot, I leave without the shot because the lunch time changes. read more

I have been going to Baptist Medical Group for a few years now. I have seen good and bad things happening. Especially in the beginning. But there have been alot of changes for the better. When I first started going there I thought the the workers for the waiting room were rude and sarcastic. A few years later was the change, which in my opinion was much needed. After all how you are treated when you first walk in has alot to do how you feel for the rest of the visit. I started seeing Dr Daum and he was wonderful. Then when he was out I had Cynthia Thompson, whom at first I was unsure about but then I had a bad day myself so it could have been me. I went back to see her and I was very pleased with the treatment I was given. I think everyone should remember a few things in life. If you enter into a business with a bad attitude then you should'nt expect to get royal treatment. And if you want respect than you need to show respect. These doctors, nurses, aids, PA's, receptionist etc. also have problems of there own and a very demanding schedule. So it doesnt matter how much money you have or what your status is. Just be a good patient and be patient. If that doesnt work than have a calm conversation with them without accusations and evil in your heart. read more

Cynthia Thompson and her assistant are not the ones to see here. My dad goes to another doctor there as well as my friends and they have only good things to say. As for Cynthia Thompson, if you want a PA who cares and listens. When I told them that the new medication was giving me sever side effects, they told me to tough it out for two weeks. Would not even allow me to lower dosage and take at a different time. Her assistant was very rude on the phone. Turns out I did have a sever reaction and it was a good thing I did not continue taking the dose she told me to. I am a big fan of Baptist. This is the first person I have encountered that was rude and uncaring. read more

I have been going here for as long as I can remember, since I was a child (I am now 33). They have went down hill and lately it is one obstacle after another. Dr. Daum is a good doctor and Maureen is a good physician's assistant, the rest of the staff not so much. I called to make an appt for neck and back pain, they told me Dr. Daum was no longer my Dr because I had not been there in 3 years and asked why I haven't been in 3 years.. which I advised because I have not been sick. I had to push this up the chain of command to get it approved for him to still be my dr. I spent over 30 min on the phone with them just trying to make an appt. During my appt they took xrays and said it would be sent to a Radiologist, and they wrote me a prescription. Over a month later, never heard back about the results and my prescription was not approved by insurance. I called them, left a message, and they never called me back. Over a week later I called again, left a message, and they called me back. They then advised I was supposed to follow up with them for my results and they have nothing to do with my prescription and could not look into why it was not approved and that I would need to do that. Then, I told them that I can get a better chair at work but need a doctors note, and they said I would have to make another appt for that, even though I was just in there a month ago for back and neck pain! Also, the wait here is always over an hour. I am now changing doctors and I would not recommend going here. read more
