I attended the Dave Romanelli Chocolate and Yoga workshop this morning at the new Bodhi Yoga location out near the Galleria (the Dave Romanelli workshop was AMAZING, btw). I'm reserving the 5th star until I take one of their regularly scheduled classes. I didn't even know until I saw this special event advertised that Bodhi had opened a new location. Years ago I used to be a regular at the downtown location, but the classes got so crowded that I eventually looked for other studios. According to a classmate of mine this morning, the classes at the new location are still pretty small since they just opened. Even though it is a bit of a haul for me to get out there, it might be worth it to take a more intimate class with some of the instructors that I loved from the original location. This studio also has a small boutique and cafe in the front and the studio itself is really nice and clean with a wall of windows. I did find it funny though as we talked about taking life slower and not getting caught up in the rat race of life that I was looking at the sign for Best Buy in the reflection of the mirror. read more

We were visiting town and looking for some classes. Several people recommend this studio. While it was a good drive for us from downtown the class with Blake was totally worth it. The studio is beautiful and Blake's instruction was top notch. I can always tell when someone has mastered their craft. I would definitely visit this space again. read more

I had a really great experience with Bodhi. The studio is beautiful. A perfect setting for the most enjoyable and beneficial of yoga practices - serene, bright, a view of outside. I know Bodhi is also a spa and café in one (the café was not open when I was there), but I only experienced the yoga. However I can imagine a spa experience would be great, as well as yums from the café. The teacher was great, and the class was HOT. But not HOT 26-posture yoga, although that's offered too. The class I took was a vinyasa class done in heat, which I have come to prefer! It was exactly what I was looking for. The studio is in the great built up area in Bee Cave, right outside of Austin. My family lives in southwest Austin, so it was very convenient for me to get to (and next time, I should take advantage of the eateries and stores {mostly big box} that surround Bodhi). I went in with the Living Social deal, but it's $18 for a drop-in class. A buck more than YogaYoga... Eh! It's more convenient for when I visit the fam! read more

I really love this studio. The vibe at Bodhi is warm and inviting. The instructors provide a relaxing, yet fun class environment and also an appropriate amount of challenge for all levels of practice. The studio is large and clean and has great floor to ceiling windows. They also have showers in the locker rooms. I have been taking classes here several times a week for the past month. I have only great things to say! I am very glad I found them. read more

Beautiful studio, a sanctuary, lovely compassionate people. I hadn't done yoga in 10 years. However, I don't recall it being this amazing. The sweat, the physical and emotional release. I don't do the heated yoga. Too hot for me. But they have 2 other types of yoga for the rest of us. Lol.. They cool the rooms down fairly quick after the heated classes. The instructors are all very wonderful. Judy's classes just seem to speak to my body and everything it needs that day. Sylvia's classes have a beautiful Zen quality. Love them. Blake's classes have illicited the most in emotional releases. Melinda's classes push me to go deeper, challenging myself. I haven't had classes with the other 2 instructors. My experience has been so positive... Just what I needed in my life right now. read more

Fantastic studio. Beautiful, calming space with lots of natural light- very tranquil and relaxing. Convenient location with NO parking hassles. Tons of shops nearby for a relaxing -traffic free shopping experience before or after. Its worth the drive. The well-trained instructors are knowledgeable, helpful and very passionate about yoga. They are mindful to prevent injuries, offer modifications and correct bad form. There is a class for every level, multiple styles of yoga are offered, and they have heated and unheated options. Kids yoga with an adult class at the same time. Workshops are well worth the investment as well. My practice has really improved thanks to all of the wonderful teachers and individualized attention at Bodhi. Pain free for the first time in a long time. They offer massage and spa packages as well. read more

I got a Groupon to try this place close to my home. I am really out of shape so I looked at their site to find a basic class. I was a tad surprised how many classes are heated. I know their name but I expected a few more. That is ok there are a few. I went in on a Saturday. It was a bit of a mess checking in but I think that is because there were so many newbies and they are running a special. The class was WONDERFUL. It was a long class but then again I am out of shape. I am very excited to have found this place. Maybe they will help me get in shape. Maybe I will be able to take a heated class before my Groupon classes expire. read more

About a year ago, I went to Baptiste Power Yoga (Bodhi) without much prior yoga experience/knowledge. Today I want to share my experience so our neighbors in the Lakeway/Bee Cave area know about this awesome local business. Here are some of the reasons why this successful business is worth considering: instructors are non-judgmental, incredibly supportive and they play close attention to each student; the facility is clean, comfortable and is enjoyable to visit, and different types of classes are offered along with specialized workshops, etc. I can't imagine a better overall yoga facility. Kudos to Anna and all of the the great instructors. read more

If heaven is a place on earth, you can find it at Bodhi Yoga. The teachers are amazing and the facility is great - very earthy but also very clean. Melinda is calm and encouraging while still guiding you to stretch yourself further. I've tried a few yoga classes over the years and find many of the teachers rush through the poses but Melinda keeps the class moving without ever making you feel like you have to hurry. My experience is that all the students are friendly and there is an atmosphere that encourages each one of us to just do our best for ourselves without any comparison against what anyone else can do. They really have a feeling of community and I felt at home starting with my first class. But the best part is the end of class. After an hour of fairly warm yoga and sweat dripping down our faces, we are finally lying on our backs in our last pose. Melinda slips around the class and places these deliciously cool damp clothes infused with peppermint and lavender essential oils over our eyes. AMAZING! read more

A year ago I went to Bodhi to strengthen my core and back and to recover from some injuries. From day one I was welcomed with open arms. Anna and Melinda and the crew did not care I was only a beginner. They were totally focused on helping me achieve my goals, both physical and mental. Now I cannot imagine living without yoga and my "Bodhi family." The teachers and students are incredibly nice and supportive. The studio is beautiful and, with its unique hill country views, it's a great place to practice. My wife, a veteran of the NYC and London yoga scenes, practices at Bodhi. My 6 yo daughter loves their "kid's yoga." My 11 yo benefits when he takes the time from his other sports do yoga. I highly recommend Bodhi! read more

I am so excited to have found Bodhi Yoga! Brad and Anna are amazing! They taught an amazing, relaxing, therapeutic class that was also a wonderful workout. Their guidance and instruction was clear, and really helpful to maintaining proper alignment. They feature kids yoga classes which is great for introducing your children to yoga! I am a new member at the Bee Cave location. I like the instructors so far, have had a good experience, but the studio is really dirty. Would love a better smell walking in, as well as the bathrooms and shower to be cleaned better. Old empty bottles laying around, not a lot of storage space. I'll be back though due to location/proximity to my house and schedule. read more

I went to bodhi yesterday for the first time. i went because they have a kids class at the same time i can go to a vinyasa class. my teacher was excellent (tuesdsay 9;30) and my daughter had a blast. the management was friendly and accommodating. i learned a few things in my class like don't hyperextend my legs, lift my kneecaps up to engage my legs more. it was a great experience, and the kids classes are the best $5 for the kids class. read more

I started going here about a year ago since it is near my house. What drew me was the 6:00 Kundalini class, which is perfect for a little inner peace after a chaotic day of work! It's never uncomfortably crowded and has a great laid-back vibe. Both Hot 26 and Vinyasa flow give you a great workout- I started to notice results right away. read more
