Fantastic first experience at YTX, as I continue touring yoga studios around Austin. This might have been my best class yet, just barely beating out Yoga Hom a couple of weeks ago. The teacher (Lauren) crafted an expert sequence... definitely among the more challenging flows, but it also felt nourishing and balanced. The studio itself was in a great location right downtown, but it felt like a nice sanctuary amidst the buzz. Very clean overall, nice high ceilings in the studio, and even some showers/lockers in the bathroom! Really enjoyed it here and I'll look forward to coming back. read more

I've gone to about 4-5 heated pilates classes at YTX in the past month or two! I really loved the class and love the equipment and instructors. My only issues with YTX are that there is a fee to rent mats and there's a fee for a parking validation. Because of the parking I typically walk so I don't want to lug a mat around with me. I do feel like parking and mat fees separate a studio from being nice to being premium. Other than that, staff is always friendly and helpful and I enjoy going! read more

I had the pleasure of going to the new location on 7th and Colorado. It was my first class, and I loved how aesthetic the studio is, the large room had plenty of room for many yoga mats, and of course the eucalyptus ice towels!! My Yo-strong class incorporated yoga and weights. The room is heated, although it did not feel like more than 88 degrees in the room. It was a good combination of yoga, weight training, and cardio. The music was perfect, loud, and it was an inviting environment. I would go again! The front desk staff was very friendly and empathetic of me arriving 2-3 minutes late after class. In the studio they have a sauna, infrared room, cold plunge and even a cafe! There was no one manning the cafe, but it would be awesome to get juices, avocado toast, etc as advertised. The saunas, cold plunges and infrared room are by reservation only, you cannot use it if you are just going in for a class. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I will be back! read more

This place was great! Stopped in for a quick heated sculpt class on a vacation and they made it so easy to get in and get out. The parking validation is an excellent amenity given the location. Really helped me get to the class on time. The class was great, fun, upbeat, and encouraging. They had so much to offer and for a traveler who likes to stay active this was an amazing opportunity. I love yoga and as I travel a lot I usually practice in my hotel room as I am yoga teacher myself but this one is a block away from my usual hotel so I decided to give it a try! Took a warmed Vinyasa class - even at 4:30 it was surprisingly packed but there was still a decent space between myself and other yogis. Loved the vibe of the studio, the heat was spot on and it was a great yoga playlist. The teacher was great and threw in a few challenges with modifications. Only thing I didn't love - and it's not the studios fault - is the class was weirdly unfriendly, just a room full of people trying their hardest to ignore each other and the front desk people are not super friendly either. Got a really good workout, enjoyed the class, great store with top notch brands in the lobby and the smoothie place also in the lobby is the best and their staff are amazing!! Great food too. Obviously yoga is very preferential but I am not a fan of "workout-y" yoga classes that have you repeat chaturanga 80 times in one class. After a six-month hiatus, I decided to check out the new location, and wow--I'm so glad I did! I was a member at their previous studio but had canceled my membership when my favorite 6 AM instructor left to open his own studio. Back then, the replacement instructor didn't quite click for me. Fast forward to today, and everything about the new location exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the aesthetic, inviting vibe, and incredible amenities. They've added exciting extras like cold plunge pools, red light therapy, and an infrared sauna (available at an extra cost), taking the wellness experience to a whole new level. I attended the 6 AM class with Brooke, and her instruction was fantastic. The heated room was exactly what I love--intense yet soothing--and the lavender ice towel at the end was the cherry on top. The music struck the perfect balance, enhancing the flow without overpowering the practice. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the studio aesthetic is clean, modern, and calming. I happen to be a yoga instructor at another studio in the city and have high standards of what it means to maintain a best-in-class experience for your members and students. YTX has exceptional customer service, the classes are top notch, bathrooms have everything you need and more, and there is even a smoothie shop for before or after class nutrition! Stopped in at YTX for a Sunday morning yoga class and was really impressed by the class and space itself. For first time visitors they offer a complimentary towel for your yoga mat. They also are connected with a juice/smoothie spot where you can stop in for a snack afterwards. The check in area has all the latest yoga apparel for sale. The bathrooms and studio was very clean and plenty of space to store your belongings. A great yoga spot that is right in downtown that you will leave with a peace of mind knowing that you got a great yoga session in. read more

Absolutely ethereal space that functions more like an upscale yoga spa than a studio. Vibe reminds me of the communities I miss so much from Portland, where I started my practice. They are attracting some of the most talented teachers, stocking high-end amenities (Dyson, lavender-scented towels!), favorite fitness gear, and a juice bar to leave nourished and refreshed, inside & out. My class with Dulcinea was meditative but intensely challenging, pushing me physically while purifying the mind. This is not hot yoga. Half of the showers are broken. Manager refuses to refund even 50% of 60-day trial after I attended two classes in the first week that I didn't even sweat in. If you want hot yoga- try Core Power or Pure. Don't waste your time or money here. ** Revised to address the response by the owner - So, rather than start a new Google profile for YTX, you are maintaining the Google profile for Wanderlust, a different business at a different location? This profile is intentionally misleading and you know it. I would suggest starting a new business profile to more accurately illustrate the business you are currently operating. This review is based on an experience I had here in February. I was hesitant to even write this but I think others should know the level of aggression and odd behavior here. Trash racist and classist behavior. I quickly stopped in this location because they have a smoothie/food spot inside. Upon entering I was greeted by a girl, but then realized that even though I was wearing Lulu leggings, carrying a designer bag, and wearing golden goose shoes, that this person was following me like I was going to steal. It was really odd. I even pointed out I'm wearing some of the brands they sell... and she stayed literally on top of me the whole time. I just thought maybe it was because she was new... Flash forward a few minutes, and I order food and a smoothie. In the 10 min it would have taken to make my food, the staff here chose to engage a gentlemen who walked in off the street.. and PEPPER SPRAY HIM! Yep that's right! In a fully inclosed space, with multiple customers around, these 18 year old workers PEPPER SPRAYED SOMEONE INSIDE!!! The gentlemen was not homeless, he had walked in to use the restroom and offered to buy something. He stated this multiple times. These outrageous (all white, I might add) children workers were superiorly racist and assumed the guy was homeless because he wasn't white. One look and you could tell he was in nice clothes and had a WALLET out ready to pay as soon as he exited the bathroom. It was painful to watch this all go down and even more horrible to be pepper sprayed by proxy, as an innocent bystander just trying to get a snack. I grabbed my service animal AND some water to wash our eyes with, and bolted. I notified the staff I am highly allergic to pepper spray and that it's negligent, risky, and downright STUPID to do that. Keep in mind all of this happened in the space people were doing yoga in! They never stopped the class or cleared out the spray! Just didn't tell anyone. Do not ever go and give this place your business. Ever. Trash racist and classist behavior. I had this place do a private yoga class for my bachelorette at our air bnb and it was a great experience! The whole process of booking the yoga class was so easy and the lady, Sophia I spoke with was so helpful. In addition, Danika our yoga instructor was so friendly and nice. She did an amazing job doing the class and was really good at redirecting us when we got side tracked. She also gave us so many suggestions for restaurants to go to and try while we're in Texas. The decorations and the fragrance quite have that vibe for meditation. They provide yoga blocks and bands for usage, also do complete sanitation after each class. The best side I like is the tunable light level, I really enjoyed dimming the light when it comes to more relaxing sessions. Would recommend this studio! This is my favorite yoga studio in Austin! The moment you walk in a calm vibe comes over you. Whatever scent they have throughout the studio adds to the ambience (you'll see what I mean). They have two rooms, and I've only ever taken classes in the big one. I always bring my own mat, but they have some for rent. They do have hand towels you can use but don't forget your mat sweat towel. You will sweat in the heated classes, but it feels so good! They do have a couple of showers and items like a blow dryer to help you freshen up afterwards if needed. I've liked the majority of the instructors, with Zoe being my favorite! I'm so glad she's back in town! The best part is the cold lavender scented washcloths they bring out during savasana. Be sure to arrive early for class as you'll have to look for street parking and might have to walk a couple blocks. read more

YTX Yoga refused to honor any promotions and the front desk staff is not knowledgeable. I mentioned a new client deal that I saw on its WEBSITE (that day!) and the lady on the phone told me that I was wrong and that it was a past deal. Then, why is it up on your website? She had no answer only that what I saw with my eyes were wrong. They will lie if they don't know something. What is a bad sign. If they are unable to know what promo they are running, they cannot manage your billing. That is a giant red flag in any business. I would not trust them with your credit card. read more

Went here to try a Power Vinyasa class. I don't live anywhere near this location and I was a stressed out finding a parking spot so had to hurry to class. I liked the energy and vibe of the studio. There was plenty of space and didn't feel overcrowded. The format of the class was alright. I don't mind the occasional "do this on your own for two rounds and we'll meet in downward facing dog" during Sun A but the teacher had us do this in both Sun A and B for three rounds. The music was too loud and the teacher was hard to hear even when he used a headset with mic. I love the refreshing cold oil-infused face towel given at the end of class. Overall it was nice to try them out to understand what they're about. I'll come back if they open up more power vinyasa classes. read more

I've been going to this yoga studio for over 5 years starting when it was named Wanderlust. Today I switched to Black Swan. Ever since it came under new ownership the classes have been lack luster, and recently they raised prices drastically and seem to be using sneaky tactics to get everyone on the new pricing. My monthly charge was $113. Back in January I unfortunately lost my job, so I responsibly froze my account (NOT cancel) and was assured that when I began again I would still be at $113. I was also informed that they can only do this for 2 months at a time, and that at the end of 2 months they would automatically unfreeze and start charging me again. I assumed that was enough time to get a new job and agreed to that and was fully ok with it if they began charging. Today, I realized I was ready to start back up, I checked my bank account just to make sure they had started charging again and was surprised to see no new charges. So then I called the studio and asked them to unfreeze my account. I was told that at the end of the 2 months they canceled my membership completely and that the only way I can rejoin is to pay the new monthly cost of $143 per month. When this place was good and reasonably priced the value was absolutely there... the value just isn't there anymore, and frankly my trust in them is gone - so, that's why today I began my membership at Black Swan ($88 monthly). read more

The studio is so spacious, cozy, and has great amenities. The associates are all very friendly and accommodating despite my friend and me arriving at the time of the class (instead of a few minutes early). This was our first visit to the studio, and they provided us a free mat and towel. We attended their yoga teacher trainee class where the teacher was a fried yoga grad, and we found the class challenging yet relaxing and ultimately very rewarding. The studio was very clean and had a little cafe and facility amenities. Can't wait to come back! read more

Overall, a lovely place! Dropped by here while traveling. Efficient and kind staff; good yoga instructor; showers provided; towels and mats provided. Main room: Probably due to how spacious it was, I didn't feel that it really heated up as well as other heated power yoga classes I've had elsewhere. I'm used to 95º-98º and this felt less, maybe 90º or even less?? It was also super-cold outside so not sure if this also had some effect. Bathrooms/locker rooms: Men's locker room ran out of lockers and people were piling stuff everywhere. Either arrive really early or consider leaving valuables at home (or taking into studio) if you're concerned about this. I came from work with a large laptop and didn't want to take that into the studio but was worried about it in the locker room. Otherwise, it was clean and functional, if a bit small for the traffic for the 6pm weekday prime time class. read more

I've been practicing yoga over the course of ~10 years now and this is my favorite studio in Austin. YTX has a nice range of instructors that vary in style, speed, music, and method which I appreciate a ton, each class feels entirely unique. With a professional background in weightlifting and HIIT, I also really enjoy the Yostrong and THAW classes which implement dumbbells. If you're new to yoga, this studio is very welcoming. And it's yoga at the end of the day, it's your practice, and the instructors are welcoming to you adjusting the cadence and poses and taking it at your own pace. The front desk staff is the sweetest and help to create a welcoming environment. Smoothies at JuicedUp are fantastic. Lavender towels at the end of each class. Planned a private yoga class as part of my friend's bachelorette weekend. We had a great time! Communication prior to the event was super easy. They were able to provide mats, towels, blocks and the space for a super affordable price. The class was an hour and the instructor was great. Each mat was set up prior to us arriving. She asked what level of yoga our group practiced. Most of us were beginner and/or had never done yoga before! She made the class super relaxing yet active. Everyone had a great time and did not feel uncomfortable being inexperienced. It was really nice to have the whole studio to ourselves too! Check them out for bachelorette parties/private events! I used some ClassPass credits to check out a evening candlelight stretch class at YTX. I am not much of a yogi and find it hard to quiet my mind in yoga classes, but am working on my flexibility so I figured I would give it a shot. I was truly blown away by my experience at the YTX studio. Upon walking in you are greeted by friendly front desk workers, who make checking in very easy. The room I went into for my class was being extensively cleaned from the class before us (which is great to see at a hot yoga studio), and was large in size. I like not feeling claustrophobic or too close to other people when doing yoga, and YTX studios have enough space to feel like you can really stretch out. The class provides hands on support with essential oils throughout, and I found myself leaving extremely relaxed! Will definitely be back. read more

Convienient location, opt for the earliest class if you're not one for crowds. 9AM was nice and comfortable, when class got out, it was calamity, similar to Black Friday, not the vibe I want at all. The class? Eh. The instructor's music is tied to her phone, like most but she had calls coming in from the appliance delivery company, which paused the music and was distracting. Music was at a volume a few notches too high, hard to hear her over it and when we did she wasn't giving us proper direction. She was flighty. Most of the class the students were confused. I didn't feel the flow or the camaraderie amongst the group. Corrections were not made throughout the class, they nickel and dime you for everything $2 towel, $1 mat, $2 if you want a Manduka. It's very corporate. Great interior design. No intimacy, herd you in and out like cattle. $19 for a drop in, not including fees mentioned above. read more
