There were a lot of cheap spirits bring used and it gave all inclusive resort cocktails vibe. They need a real mixologist to come in and give them some recipes so that they have authentic margaritas and other drinks without the sugary sweet frat party liquor. They just need to focus on better quality spirits and a more Mexico focused liquor list. Staff was super nice and friendly. I think they brought the chips and salsa as we had been waiting awhile for our food. Overall, I would recommend this place as it was priced fairly and the food was quite good. Is this authentic? Haven't seen this price point in years. - Enchiladas platter ($8.75) - we opted for the beef (ground beef) with green & red salsa, rice and beans. This was our favourite dish. Different than your traditional enchilada but enjoyable. - 2x Tacos al pastor ($2.50) - pork was on the sweeter side. Decent but the salsa was what really made the tacos tasty. - 2x Mexican tamales - pork tamale ($3.75) with green salsa and chicken tamale ($3.50) with tomato salsa. Pork was the better of the two tamales. Chicken was dry and dense. - Pupusa ($3.50) - fell flat for me; not much flavour, curtido lacked freshness and the tomato sauce was bland.
