The overall service from the waitstaff was decent. But you do get what you pay for since this the prime spot for enjoying the view of the Duomo. When it came time to pay the bill, you have to go inside the restaurant for credit card payments. Sure, this was normal in Italy, but we didn't expect to wait in a long line with walk-in customers that were only there to buy cigarettes. We asked to pass the feedback to the manager, where the person at the cash register responded with "I am the manager". As far as views of the Duomo go, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one than what is offered at this place. The prices are expensive as you would expect but they could be worse. I ordered a cappuccino "beeg" because I was long overdue for caffeine on the day on question and to provide more of a substrate to prolong our view time. It was pretty good. GF ordered a "shakerato" and I initially thought she was fucking with me but it appears this is a real thing. It's apparently a shot of espresso, ice, and simple syrup shaken in a cocktail shaker and served in a cocktail glass. I tried it and it's fucking delicious. I was kind of pissed because prior to the arrival of our beverages, a few people were seated next to us and we were asked to get up so that our table could be physically moved. Spectacular scenery!!!! Sit in the terrace when weather permitting and you will have a great view of the Duomo! We sat and had a bottle of wine with Bresaola that were both on point!!! After the opera we seated in front of the Duomo. Very tourist I know but is a nice spot and they had great cappuccino, we had a salad and pizza and my husband had a beer, huge, it cost $19 euros. Don't matter, the experience is worth it. read more

Maybe it deserves four starts for the location. But the food and service only rate three. Nice place close to the Duomo for lunch. Its popular with local office workers, who clearly get priority treatment. Tables are small and flimsy, crowded together outside. But it was all fine and part of the atmosphere. Very standard fare with picture board menus. The pizza margherita was nothing special, the beer was fine. Coffee was good. read more

Touristy. The location is on a street corner with pink hanging flowers. Tried pasta with mushroom/funghi. Pasta was okay. Kind of oily. My dad ordered the same thing but his lacked the sauce, which was strangely inconsistent. My mom ordered marinara, and she got pasta that was dry yellow with egg. I always thought marinara was red. But it tasted good to her anyway. The sparkling sweet red wine was good and my favorite of the meal. Wait was longer than expected. Waitress was friendly but she sort of forgot the people sitting behind us. And I hate being the party that's forgotten. read more

Very friendly service for a light smack and espresso. We sat outside under and umbrella and relaxed after touring the Duomo and surrounding square. The meet and cheese as well as Caprese salad were perfect for a light snack. read more

Food was better than average, but we definitely got ripped off.. We were charged 20 euros each for two drinks during HAPPY HOUR, one of which was non-alcoholic. Getting charged that much for one alcoholic drink is still pricey, especially at a happy hour rate, but slightly more understandable. Getting charged that much for a regular drink is just absurd. We complained to one of the waiters who simple shrugged his shoulders. We mentioned it to another waiter and he was at least kind enough to knock $10.00 off the bill for the non-alcoholic drink. total rip-off. Prices for coctail on the map are12 euro (with is reasanable for a touristic place). But the waiter only suggest you medium or big. coctails, thinking that the medium is the one on the menu at 12 euro and big at most double. 8 coctails later (4 friends) we got a bill of 200 euro!!! Medium is 20 euro and big 40 euro. And the big is not double that big as the medium. In all other places you only at most half and even a lot less. No need to argue, just pay and get out. This bar is corrupt. The view is perfect. We were there during happy hour when snacks in bars are free. We ordered a beer and an Aperol spritz, they asked if we would like some snacks , we said yes, they sent out toast with tomatoes and mozarella, they asked if I would like a large Aperol spritz, I said yes, it was a bit bigger than normal, nothing special. We asked for the bill; 10 euros for beer, 15 euros for the toast and 40 euros for the Spritz- not acceptable. read more

THIS PLACE IS A TOURIST TRAP., STAY AWAY!!! THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL PICK POCKETS!!! My wife and I ordered a 15€ dish and they swapped a 35€ dish by simply adding a few slices of salmon to the dish. The waiters excuse was that he asked us if we wanted a "complete" dish and that we should have asked if we did not understand. So instead of a 33€ dinner we were charged 73€. I asked him to show me the "complete" dish on the menu and the waiter said it was a "special". NO ITEM ON THE MENU WAS 35€. I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE!!! Don't support these thieves!!! Great views if the Dumo but the food wasn't good and over priced. Our tomato soup was very oily. Our gnocchi was served too cold to eat and tasteless. Our spaghetti was under cooked. There are a few seats outside the shop but the main dinning area is actually in the basement so you don't get to enjoy the view that much. Even worse, all we heard throughout our meal was bathroom flushing because the toilets are also in the basement with walls that hardly insulate the sound of people inside. read more

I had an overall good experience here. The staff was really nice to me (I came to eat by myself). Reading other reviews I noticed many complaints about being deceived into upcharges. He tried to upsell me on many things (water, prosecco, dessert), but I didn't find him to be pushy. A little bit deceiving, yes. I would say it's worth a trip here.
