    Steak

The restaurant had a wonderful ambiance. Wonderful service. The veal ossobuco in gremolada sauce with saffron risotto was prepared excellently. Tortelli was delicious. We also shared a Fiorentina steak. It was a little fatty than I would have liked. Not the best fiorentina steak but still good.

We chose this restaurant known for its local Milano's food. The restaurant is much larger that it looks from outside. We noticed that many local restaurant names in Milano are quite long. The fish was great but the steak was so so.

ordered Veal ossobuco (sliced veal shank) with mushed potatoes and black truffle, home made pasta with seafood sauce, saffron risotto, onion n cow liver, tiramisu, chocolate cake + matcha icecream, pear tart + vanlilla icecream, red wine (recommend by server) about euro 150 generally a tasty authentic italian(milanese) meal. veal ossobuco was tender with fatty bone marrow. (highly recommended!!) home made pasta was delicious as carry the sauce well, i like the pasta texture. rich saffron flavor , cooked just right risotto. veal cutlet was authentic , it meant to be thin cut, n hence a bit drier (not juicy) as chop. cow liver was cooked just right, well treated, intense taste, good to pair with red wine. tiramisu was not disappointed. chocolate had a good cake , over sweet melty chocolate. ** other recommended dish : Anchovies in Neapolitan style, Chianina beef cheek cooked 36 hours with corn porridge, Strozzapreti pasta with porcini mushrooms and duck breast

Pasta with anchovy and truffle Soooooo good! Osso Bucco in the background.

Had an amazing meal here. If I had another night in Milan I'd go again! The pasta with truffle and anchovy is delicious. The Osso Bucco is probably the best I've ever tasted. Also the Bresaola and Tonno appetizers were equally as delicious. Loved the vibe, the service, everything.

For our last meal in Milan, we went to Cavallini. Restaurant was a 10 minute cab ride from the Park Hyatt. Once we got there, we checked in our coats, and were seated in a few minutes. Restaurant is set up in sections. there is a reception area as you walk in.. with seating to the left and right. the main dining space is a few steps up (to the left as you enter)... then through that space is the walk through kitchen (main kitchen in on the right and there is a seafood prep area to the left... at the rear of the restaurant is a more casual dining area with a tv or two - i assume for watching football :) We were seated in the main dining area... a good sign was that almost all of the restaurant was full on a sunday night.. with locals and some tourists. We ordered some wine and the food... I had been dying to have some risotto, and it was great. Cooked well, and a nice saffron flavour. it was a great way to start the meal. Then for the main course, we ordered the pasta with meat sauce, and the chicken Milanese (usually it is made with veal, however they were able to substitute chicken for me). The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the portion was perfect. The chicken was also very good, and came with some arugula salad. On the service side, our waiter seemed to be too busy, and was just not paying attention to our table. However there was another server who was helping, and she was great. Without her, the meal would have just been some food. Food and decor were wait. Service is friendly, however "european" in nature... be patient, and you just have to allow for a lot of time to enjoy your meal.

Googled this place as I was looking for a place to eat while I was in Milan. Took a nice 20 minute walk there from my AirBnb. I guess it was a slow night, because besides my guest and I there were only two other people dining. I've been hearing so much about fois gras, I was excited to see they had it on the menu. I ordered the risotto rice and the fois gras, everything was good. Such an attentive staff, very good wine selection also.

    Sea bass escalope

My wife and I found this using Yelp recommendations while traveling from Naples to Milan on the high speed train. It was exactly what we hoped for. - Good food and decent value - Sea Bass filet is highly recommended. - Superb atmosphere... The outside is deceiving probably for most Americans - just go in. - Great location (not too far from the central train station.

Came here at opening (7pm) based on good reviews and being within a few blocks of my hotel (Berna). This is a very nice white tablecloth restaurant. I was given a complimentary glass of Prosecco. I ordered the Buffalo Mozzarella and grilled vegetables antipasto (12 euro) which was half a baseball size of fresh, wonderful mozzarella sliced and stacked with grilled vegetables. It was delicious and the presentation was top notch. The complimentary bread was varied and delicious. I skipped the primati and ordered the black-peppered rib eye steak on the bone secondi (25 euros), with a glass of the house red wine (6 euros) and bottle of sparkling water (3 euros). The steak was cooked perfectly and probably 14 oz in size- tender, good sear. It came with grilled potatoes. I had as espresso after my meal and they provided TWO complimentary shots of almost frozen limoncello, which was the best tasting after dinner liquor I have ever had (even offered a 3rd, which I refused). Total bill came to 53 euros. This was one of the best dinners I had on my 15 day trip in Italy. They also have typical Milanese items on the menu like Veal Ossobuco (although it is on mashed potatoes with truffles, rather than the typical saffron risotto) and Cotoletta ala Milanese (breaded veal cutlet) but I avoided since I am on a low-carb (keto) diet. Highly recommended.

Great food. Had the Veal which was very tender. The apple cake was homemade and very moist and flavorable

Thanks Yelpies for the nice photos. We opted to sit at the patio by the street. They made it little better by putting a facade between the street and the sidewalk. No smokers but that didn't last long. In Italy, outside seating means someone will be smoking next to you. Guaranteed. When we got here, thr waiter started shaking his head when I said no reservation. After conferring with another waiter, we got seated and things started rolling. Bread was brought out and asked for bottled water. To my surprise, cuperto was free and Pellagrino was only €3.50 Chilled vino bianco was delicious with the two items we shared. I got the grilled octopus served on top of the mashed potatoes. (POLPO CROCCANTE Purè, pomodorini semi dry, paté di olive nere) It was a large serving and grilled to perfection. The fish soup (ZUPPA DI PESCE Pomodoro, calamari, polipetti, seppie, gamberi, cozze, vongole, crostini di pane) had flavor that I wasn't use to. Salty, thick soup base? Definitely better to dip with scarpetta. Wasn't happy that one clam and one mussels didn't open up. Our waiter were on top of everything till we were ready to go. Guy next to us rolled a cigarette and started smoking and I was ready to roll out of there. Took while to get the bill after repeatedly asking for it. Overall, we only scratched the surface and love to come back and spend exploring other items like raw fish platers. Inside!
