Food - I don't think it could have been better. Excellent temperature and preparation. Fresh and delicious. The shrimp ceviche was perfectly acidic and chilled to perfection. The sea bass was light and flaky. Not overly seasoned or sauced. Service - Really amazing. I watched the staff interact and it was flawless. The manger was running a tight ship. Ambiance - Very chill and not a bit pretentious. It was a relaxed and perfect place for lunch after walking for 2-3 hours. I will return on my next trip to Milan. read more

Fushbar de Milan - walked 15 minutes from Duomo. I had it marked on my Yelp page to visit and here we are. Not too many seafood restaurants and this place fit the bill. Thanks Yelpies for the nice photos. We opted to sit at the patio by the street. They made it little better by putting a facade between the street and the sidewalk. No smokers but that didn't last long. In Italy, outside seating means someone will be smoking next to you. Guaranteed. When we got here, thr waiter started shaking his head when I said no reservation. After conferring with another waiter, we got seated and things started rolling. Bread was brought out and asked for bottled water. To my surprise, cuperto was free and Pellagrino was only €3.50 Chilled vino bianco was delicious with the two items we shared. I got the grilled octopus served on top of the mashed potatoes. (POLPO CROCCANTE Purè, pomodorini semi dry, paté di olive nere) It was a large serving and grilled to perfection. The fish soup (ZUPPA DI PESCE Pomodoro, calamari, polipetti, seppie, gamberi, cozze, vongole, crostini di pane) had flavor that I wasn't use to. Salty, thick soup base? Definitely better to dip with scarpetta. Wasn't happy that one clam and one mussels didn't open up. Our waiter were on top of everything till we were ready to go. Guy next to us rolled a cigarette and started smoking and I was ready to roll out of there. Took while to get the bill after repeatedly asking for it. Good: staff super friendly, accommodating; crispy octopus - easily one of the best octopus dishes I've ever tried Not so good: the marinated anchovies appetizer is a half-opened tin of anchovies, a few pads of butter, and triangles of white toast, and it's 21EUR; when it arrived, it almost felt like someone was pranking me. It made me feel bad that I was spending so much money on a tin of anchovies. I ate it and didn't complain as that's not in my nature. Charging this much for someone to crack open a tin of fish is wild. It's such a shame about the anchovies, but the crispy octopus was good. Be forewarned when you see "marinated anchovies" on the menu, and just know you're just getting a cracked open tin of anchovies. read more

Friendly and efficient service, attentive to my crustaceallergies (I am not trace allergic I simply need to not ingest it). I decided I'd treat myself to a dinner and went alone on a Monday night. Funny enough the only other table there when I arrived also had 3 East Asians who were chowing on seafood pasta and mussels. Over the course of the evening more people in their 30s-50s came through. The ambiance is low key and intimate, like a bistro. The food is simple and fresh, I think the young couple next to me got the 36€ cold seafood platter but since I can't eat shrimp I opted for the amberjack crudo topped with strawberries and paired with what appears to be celeriac or fennel, followed by steamed squid with tomatoes and crispy chanterelles (I think?) Interestingly despite being not overly prepared or seasoned I was able to taste each ingredient. I have not had focaccia so bouncy before, it's almost as if the flour were partially tapioca. The tiramisu is godly. It came with a chocolate dome with gold dust and every bite was rich with liqueur. read more

Great service and lively atmosphere with modern and fresh decorations. Close to the nice Brera district. The food is a modern spin on Italian food. Lots of Spanish influences (ceviche), American (chowder, Maine lobster roll) and even Thai (soup). I ordered a Mixed Raw Seafood (30 euro) and Crispy Octopus (20 euro) so I could try multiple items from the menu. The Mixed Seafood was awesome! From left to right there was raw salmon with pepper and oil, fish tartar (plain with lemon on top, slightly cooked with avocado, tomato and a little spice on bottom), an oyster (upon a small red cabbage and sesame salad) and 2 sweet shrimp of different types. Perfect for trying a lot of new tastes. It comes with a small amount of salad, citrus slices, and chips, which add the perfect textural contrast to raw fish. I would recommend starting with the more delicate flavors (shrimp and oyster) and work your way up. I started with the spicy ceviche and had to rinse my mouth to prevent flavor contamination! Everything was very fresh (no fishy smell, texture was springy, not soft) and prepared with care. The crispy octopus (recommended to specifically by my friend who recommended the restaurant) was served with a small amount of potatoes, shriveled small tomato and a green sauce I can't seem to place. Parsley? Octopus was perfectly cooked and tender. Very flavorful without being overwhelming. Meal comes with bread and small cracker sticks. I don't think they have "tap water" here (also Milanese water is especially hard and chlorinated imo) so be prepared to add 3 euro for acqua and 2 for coperto to your bill, as with all of Italy. In particular, the manager Dodo is awesome and made great recommendations! read more
