Oh my gosh what to say about this place! I always worry about riding stables like this as a lot of…read moretime the horses aren't really cared for but this place is so different! You can just tell they love their horses and they are all fat and happy! The horses, not their caregivers..... It doesn't look like much but it's because they are laid back and very informal. You can pet the horses before you ride and I even offered to help brush one but I think they thought I was joking. I wasn't. The ride was beautiful! My horse was placid but still had enough spunk that I had to pay attention so he wouldn't wander off the trail. He was half draft and half Quarter and he was a huge fellow! I fell in love at first sight! Even my hubby who is scared of horses, never been around horses, and never ridden before had a blast! If you're a newbie, that's fine, they will take great care of you! If you've ridden before and think you'll be bored, don't worry! The scenery is so gorgeous you'll forget that the horse is doing most of the work. They are seasonal and don't have a website to make reservations but just give them a call and they will get you set up. I believe it was $45 for the hour long ride and it was so worth it! Definitely do not miss doing this when you're here in Hot Springs!

He was very nice and the rates were super cheap compared to other horseback riding places. Toby even called me the day before to remind me of my reservations and see if I had any questions. When we got there, the scenery was amazing! The horses were very well trained and the trail was through a pretty forest. Toby personally guided us through the trail and talked to us like we were good friends. My girlfriend and I can't wait to plan another trip to Hot Springs and stop back by for another ride. It is good to know there are still genuinely friendly business owners out there.

The land itself is beautiful, full of healthy grass and a running stream. The place is clean and tidy every day! To say the horses are well cared for would be an understatement. Carl is the owner and his wisdom in the field of horses is unmatched. He's an awesome teacher and horse trainer. He also trims the horses hooves whenever you need it. I can't say enough how blessed I and my horse are for finding this place.

It's a husband/wife owed business and he's been the operator and owner for about 27 years (I believe, if I heard correctly). The horses were so gentle and sweet as well. I had a gorgeous brown male named Shorty and my husband had a tan beauty named Beau. The owner rode Peanut as he led us through shaded woodsy terrain that even overlooked the lake. It was absolutely stunning and such a great experience. I already want to go back and will definitely be incorporating more horse related events into our vacations and activities. MUST TRY THIS!

We were catered to from the first phone call. They even made a birthday dinner/cake and joined the celebration. Will took extra care to make sure everyone in our party was engaged, the interns and Will made sure the horse experience was appropriate, fun and informative for our kids including our 6 year old with a prosthetic leg. The kithen and ranch staff are friendly and efficient and more concerned with our comfort than the staff at 5 star resorts! Lake Catherine-- We absolutely love this lake!…read more Although, I felt like things were not labeled as they should have been during the hike of "Falls Creek Falls". There were marks on trees during the hike that were red, white and yellow, but I had no idea what those meant. Maybe this part of town is less touristy and more locals, because people had set up hammocks, and all of their things that they needed for the night/day around the waterfall after the hike. I spoke to a sweet man and woman on a golf cart who seemed to work there, as they were going around and changing papers for the reservations for there were trailers in the parking lot, and they advised us on where to go and park. They did advise us that if you go on the trails, if you go towards the left, the hike is shorter and it's about a 1/2 a mile, and if you go towards the right, it's about a mile and a 1/2 Which is a great tip because, of course, we wanted to take the shorter route. We had a toddler and an elderly person with us, and so we did not want to do a strenuous hike. This hike was just enough for us to feel better adventurous, and like we accomplished something when we got to the falls. The falls were beautiful, and the water looked gorgeous. Although, I did see later on another app, that a lot of times sewer water gets into the falls. Unfortunately, we had decided to take a dip even though we didn't have swim suits just because it looks so refreshing but it's just something to keep in mind. Overall, we would definitely come here again! It looks like a great place to bring lunch and hang out and eat after a great hike!
