Although, I was just as much (if not most) delighted by the bread service which were noticeably out of the oven just before arriving at the table every time. The menu has 3 formats -- split by 2 that are different tasting formats, followed by 1 page that is a la-carte for however many courses you would like. Having tried all 3 menus in as many evenings, there was a good amount of variety, with a high degree of creativity and innovation throughout -- and very filling. The beverage program is impressive as well, with a beautiful cellar on full display -- although I took the recommendations for a glass of wine to pair with dinner, which was terrific each time. The staff + service was a clear standout, consistent and wonderful. The staff is noticeably young, very warm and upbeat and inviting. While I wish I got everyone's names, ALESSANDRO, MARY, and ROBERTO were always amazing and wonderful, they truly knew how to provide for a great experience and always went above and beyond.

The apple cake with homemade vanilla gelato is their signature desert and is simply wonderful. The service was friendly and helpful. The menu had a large variety of pizzas available, priced at between 6€ and 12€. Pricey compared to the 2-for-1 American dreck we are used to, but I don't see Papa Johns offering up speck, wild mushrooms, or buffalo mozzarella. We each ordered a different style and they were both very good, with thin crusts and just the right amount of toppings fired in a brick oven. Four pizzas for us and the other couple took maybe 15 minutes, which is great considering he built the pizzas from the dough up. We finished our meal with combo platters of cacao and nocciola gelato, a combination that tasted like Nutella. My guess is that they're only open weekends during the slow season. That is a shame, since they would have been mobbed during the week my convention was held in the Grand Hotel Imperiale right across the street.

They were married on a boat, in the middle of the lake... MAGICAL! INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, we happened to be staying a 5-minute walk from this restaurant but had not tried it, up to that point. As the boat docked from the wedding... GUESS WHERE WE WERE EATING?!?!? HEAVEN! Folks, this place was chosen for a wedding reception... AND THE CHOICE WAS CORRECT! My gosh, we were treated like KINGS. Multiple staff members, all night long. Your wine glass never thought about being 1/2 empty. Wine flowed, waiters quietly danced behind you making every moment special and magical. The food... the food... Y'ALL - THE FOOD! WOW! We had a 5-course meal. Fresh, delightful, admittedly most of it I had no clue exactly what it was (blame the wine) but it isn't often I clean my plate for all 5-courses... that night I did. Getting married in / on Como?
