So get there a bit early or scope out a party that's about the leave. The red hair waitress was friendly and cheerful. We sat and chatted for about 2 hours with no pressure to leave. In the background we were entertained by a guitarist, singing Spanish songs. Was he good? I'm no judge. Was he entertaining? Certainly so. Bucanero's drink menu has a great selection of vodka and rum cocktails and liqueur. They also have an interesting collection of tea from different regions. The restaurant/ bar also serve breakfast and lunch. This is certainly a cute place for drinks and people watching.

Outside tables are perfect for some people watching and to take in the fresh air. It's nice because it's not the the busy Main Street that everyone is walking up and down.

We were able to sit anywhere. The staff is a bunch of young girls, who were not the friendliest. They just want to take your drink order and move on. They have reasonably priced beer for €4, and cocktails for at least double that. We ordered a Heineken in a bottle, and an Espresso Martini. The latter wasn't the greatest, tasting very watery. The one we had at the Hard Rock across the street a couple of nights ago was a million times better. Compared to many other bars around here, this place just seems good for the view, nothing else.

This place was a block off the main drag, and honestly, it didn't look like much, but we were tired of walking. The food was authentic and AMAZING!!! Started with a tapas plate of fried goat cheese topped with three different toppings. For the main course, my wife had a pancake filled with prawns and veggies. I had the best cod dish I've ever had on a bed of potatoes. Add a couple bottles of local beer and a sangria unlike any I've ever tasted and we had an outstanding meal. Little that we know, we'd find a sweet spot of a beach bar! All throughout our holiday in La Palma, I wanted a margarita...finally! Jackpot! Love on The Beach was it! Finally on our last day on the island, I get to have a margarita! There were seating- with no wait! The bartenders were great! Service with a smile is always an great reason to stay and have another drink! The night was beautiful and the company was irreplaceable. Love on The Beach is the 2nd beach bar, if you are walking from Hotel Sol La Palma. The 1st beach bar is overcrowded and is much too loud, forcing people to shout. Love on The Beach has music but low enough so you can enjoy a drink and a decent conversation with your friends. This is definitely a beach bar I would frequent on my next visit to La Palma.
