The resort I was staying at recommended The Dog House and I'm so glad they did. All of the dogs at the doggy daycare looked super excited and happy to be there when I dropped my pup off. Staff were friendly and the grounds were clean and much nicer than my already high expectations. I liked that the dogs each had their own outdoor run. If I'm ever back near The Dells again, I'll definitely be boarding my dog here & will refer others as well.

Reasonable prices, friendly staff the first time around. The second time I went to pick up our dog, she left with kennel cough. She was miserable and we needed to go to the vet.I called to let them know and they basically told me not to bring in a sick dog. Why would I knowingly board my dog with kennel cough? I repeated that I was calling to inform them that one of the other dogs had given it to her and to look into it. They treated it passively and unapologetic. We will not be going back.

This is a rescue organization that cares deeply for all dogs, and go to great lengths to make sure that you and your dog are a good match. I was given a lot of instruction on Remmy's needs, personality, likes and dislikes which was much appreciated and made the transition easier for me and Remmy. About a week after I adopted my dog, I received a follow up call to make sure that Remmy and I were getting along. Everyone contributing to Affinity Rescue cares deeply about dogs and it is very obvious the passion they have for rescuing them. Neglected cats They…read morehave a tiny, overcrowded room with tons of cats. The litter boxes were filthy and weren't even filled with enough clean litter to begin with. One cat that I was petting had several mats, with one particularly large one on its back (this can cause skin sores, bleeding, and infection). It's nice that they take them in, but you do actually have to take care of them if you do that. I politely mentioned to the woman at the desk that the cat was matted, and she said "Yeah, that happens," and stared back at me. I asked if she cuts them off. She said yes, when she has someone to help her. I asked if she needed help, and she said no, she would do it later. I then mentioned that the litter boxes were low, and she said, "Well, I have a routine that I keep up with." Clearly, it's neither a routine nor kept up with, since the room is like that every time I go in, even though this store is never busy. This is just the first time I've complained. She then snottily asked me if I had made the donation while I was in there ("since you want to complain so much" being the implication). I replied that I had. It's worth mentioning that no other customers were in the store, as usual, and there were two employees chatting at the desk while I was browsing and visiting the cats, so they definitely had time to check on the cats. Also, the litter boxes should have been filled more to begin with. I have volunteered at and visited various animal shelters and the animals are always in better conditions than this. The same woman was also very unhelpful years ago when I wanted to adopt a cat from there and I ended up getting my cats from a different rescue. The store is also disorganized, overpriced, and poorly lit. It's no wonder that not one, but two other pet stores have opened up in this very small town and attract far more customers. Please treat those cats right!

Cazenovia Animal Hospital in WISCONSIN is a well-respected business with the same ownership and veterinarian as when it opened decades ago.

Pet owners beware, this place is only after your money ever since being bought by a bigger company…read more I took my pet there a month ago, who was suffering from weakness and lack of appetite, and the vet who attended my furry friend "guessed" that she was suffering kidney failure and that there was nothing they could do since she was "dying". They then proceeded to PUSH euthanasia down my throat multiple times, saying it was the right thing to do. They were also kind enough to give a sales pitch on their cremation prices too. After being fed nothing but pressure for euthanasia, I decided their "guess" didn't sit well with me and I rushed my pet to another clinic that my family used and trusted for a second opinion. They ran bloodwork and many tests to reveal that the Cazenovia Hospital's guess was completely wrong. There was no kidney failure, there was no dying, she had a UTI and an infection in her gums causing her to have difficulty chewing thus becoming malnourished and weak. This new vet clinic stabilized her and put her on antibiotics, fast forward to now and my little furry friend is completely back to normal. Cazenovia Animal Hospital almost killed my animal friend of 15 years over something fixed with antibiotics and $0.79 cans of pate wet food. They spent more time advertising euthanasia and cremation services like an advertisement on an oldies station than actually trying to heal my animal. Folks, go somewhere else, otherwise you'll bring your dog in for a hangnail and they'll probably attempt to euthanize her.
