Most of their business is take out although there is room for maybe four people to sit at two counters. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. I asked him to make me a vegetarian plate of mixed salads and falafel while I moved my car. (The lot behind the restaurant doesn't belong to them and you'll get towed!) The pita, humus, babaganoush, papas bravos, and pickled turnips were very good. The standouts: 1. the lightest, airiest falafel I've ever had. If I knew felafel could be this good, I'd order it more often. 2. Rice with cardamum pods. Why have I never had cardmum in rice before? I've eaten at literally dozens of Middle Eastern restaurants, and this was a first. It was a new taste and absolutely raised the bar on the rice. Finally It's about Thyme was a bargain. I think I paid C$15 for an overflowing plate of food plus a bottle of water. The portion was so generous that I took it home and ate the leftovers for lunch the following day. And here's a lagniappe: the restaurant is across the street from the Salem Chapel British Methodist Episcopal Church where Harriet Tubman was a member. St. Catherarines, Ontario was one of the end points for the Underground Railroad.

This is a hidden gem. Super fresh food and bread. Lots of meat dishes but also very vegetarian and…read morevegan friendly.

A combo has one side and a medium drink while a platter has two sides and a large drink. The chicken comes in non-spicy and spicy; we chose spicy. For the sides, we ordered Cole Slaw and Fries. It comes with 2 containers of dipping sauce and was told I could only choose one flavour, so I chose Buttery Ranch. The chicken was juicy and tender. I consider the spiciness level to be mid-spicy. They are known for their biscuit and I wasn't disappointed. It seems you can refill the drink using their self-serve soft drink machine. My mom doesn't like fast food but she loved Popeyes so much we came back two days later. Between the 2 days, we tried Mary Brown's for the first time ordering similar items; the chicken wasn't as good and the coleslaw was half the size. On our second visit, we ordered the 5-Piece Chicken Tenders Combo ($14.49), chosing only one side, the Coleslaw (which my mom loved). We found the Combo filling enough without having to buy a Platter. This time they let me choose 2 flavours for the dipping sauce; I chose Buttery Ranch and BBQ. I didn't like the BBQ for chicken tenders. One thing I noticed. For the 5 pieces, they put the buscuit and fries into a box and filled the rest with chicken tenders, so we got 6 pieces. When we bought the 5 pieces again without Fries, they put the biscuits into a box and put 7 pieces! Either this was generous of them or they put extra in it because we raved how good their tenders were so we came back. The restaurant is clean and service is courteous. With indoor seating, there are tables and booths, there is one semi-circular tables with 6 electric outlets. There is outdoor seating plus separate outdoor WiFi signal! There is medium-loud pop music playing in the background. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible but the outdoor door button doesn't work when I was there. There are separate male/female washrooms and they are wheelchair accessible.  There is free parking in their private parking lot. There are high chairs for young children. Review 2023-050

It was all crunchy, burned skin and old hard meat. Today, I have a sore stomach..and this is the second time in a year of the two times I purchased Popeyes. It's not the same Popeyes as it started out to be. So disappointed as it was supposed to be a treat and all I could think was the total disregard they had to serve us old, gross, burned chicken when we all work very hard for that money. Each bite crumbled onto the seat. Never again.

A-3 Mix Gyro Over Rice: There is a hint of magic under the blanket of white sauce in every gyro place that I go to. The people of NY colloquially call it "street meat", which gives it an "unclean" vibe, but I don't care. I'm yet to have one that's bad, and I've never turned down a chance to eat gyro. The rice is plentiful and flavorful, and the chicken and lamb were solid. The salad's sourness was a bit too much for me, but I'm sure there's someone out there who would love it. Mango lassi: I'm not gonna lie, it's a bit flat. Either they had a lot of faith in the mango's sweetness, or all the other mango lassis that I've had were pumped with syrup. Either way, I had hoped that this drink would've capped off a good gryo plate. Service: The store is run by nice people. Pay after you order, then they'll prep your order. The meat's already cooked, but they really took their time in making each order to maintain quality (especially portion size) Ambiance: The location seats 10 people. People generally come in, order, get their food, and leave. I think the location is unremarkable, but that shouldn't stop you from trying this place.
