Leadership martial art is one of the best things we have chosen to do for our son. We were in a…read moregymnastics class for parents/children and felt he needed a more structured class with direction. We choose leadership based on their free trial for toddlers, and fell in love. Their instructor is are amazing, especially the toddler teach Ms.Nalani - she controls the group of kids so well helping them accountable, engaged, and motivated! Sensi Ricks random drop ins are my son's fav! They equally include karate fundamentals into a play time that is challenging and fun. My son has learned to be never give up, do his best, and is slowly learning that mistakes are okay as long as we're putting in the effort. I can't wait for my daughter to start- she has even caught on to their forms and structure. Their pricing is reasonable, including strip testing, uniforms and belts all in one (which wasn't offered at many other places we locked into). I am excited for him to continue. My favorite part is the check ins from staff with personalized video and text message. We love it so much we decided to throw his birthday party there this year too. Highly recommended for your toddler for some structure and learning. To be forward the children are held accountable. We have seen children be removed from class for not listening, or loose their privileges. While some may think this is intense, it's exactly what our son needs. They are respectful, and fair to all the kids, and do a great job and introducing these little life lessons!

Beyond learning martial arts, they've gained confidence in every sense--physically, mentally, and emotionally. They carry themselves with more focus, discipline, and self-belief, both inside and outside the school. The instructors are exceptional: supportive, professional, and deeply committed to each child's growth. They create a positive, structured environment where kids feel encouraged, challenged, and valued. The facility is always clean and well-organized, and the community is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Leadership Martial Arts is more than just a martial arts school--it's a place that helps kids build character, confidence, and life skills. We are grateful to be part of this program and highly recommend it to any parent looking for something truly impactful for their children. Thank you to Sensei Rick and the entire Crew!!

What I love about Sr. is that he keeps the kids IN CHECK! Martial arts starts with discipline and many of these young kids are bouncing around or talking or not listening to directions. I appreciate that Sr. keeps them in line. In fact I prefer it because it's so distracting to the other kids who really want to learn and the parents aren't telling their own kids to buckle up and stop playing around.

I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) at Bashta's for 5 months under Adam Laudano. BJJ is…read moreoffered 3 days a week and also 1 more day of open mat. The classes always start off with a 30 minute warm-up that includes a variety of cardio exercises and stretching. We then usually drill a new technique and/or practical self-defense for up to 45 minutes. Adam's instruction is very detail oriented and thorough. He won't let a single person go through class without being able to perform the technique well. He is respectful and is seemingly unlimited in his knowledge of BJJ. After drilling, we "roll" (spar) with each other for 15-30 minutes. I get the sense that i'm part of a "team" because everyone supports each other at regional competitions. Competing is encouraged as a means to grow skills and progress. No one is expected to win, only to learn. All of the students are very respectful and helpful. There is a variety of white belts all the way to black. The black and brown belts are extremely respectful and helpful to the other students. There is no pressure in Adam's classes, or feeling of judgment by others. The classes themselves are very informal, questions are encouraged at all times. My fitness has greatly improved overall from taking BJJ. I used to go to Planet Fitness 4-5 days a week and see much superior results from doing BJJ.
