Where to start? To date, I have been to Barataria Gallery on four different occasions for four completely different and unrelated events and each time, I have been blown away with the transformation of the space. Barataria provides guests with the ability to create your very own, unique experience in their space and the owners (a husband and wife couple) are extremely pleasant and flexible to work with. Did I mention that this is a Black owned and operated establishment?! It makes my heart warm when I see POC opening and running businesses and doing an awesome job! After speaking with the various event hosts, each and every one has praised Barataria for their professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that the event is a success. While they themselves are not event planners, they will point you in the direction of vendors who are equally as pleasant and professional and excellent at what they do. At this point, I know the next event I have will be at Barataria because the location is ideal - on Atlantic Avenue steps away from Barclay's Center which means it's close to transportation and easy to get to - and the space is the perfect size for an intimate gathering of 5 or 50. Five Stars!! Wonderful experience!! About a year ago I attended an event at Barataria and loved the space, layout and location as it is conveniently located close to Barclays Center and my old neighborhood. With that in mind, I thought it would be a great location to hold my 40th birthday event. I have nothing but great things to say about the professionalism and quality service provided. The owners provided a flexible space to work with that allowed for my event planners/vendors to create the ambiance I yearned for the event. They have bluetooth sound system and their own decor which they can offer for your event as well so that was definitely a plus in terms of logistics. The space is so versatile and can accommodate a larger number of guests than you think. The owners are very friendly, fun and great to work with. I look forward to holding other events at the space. I recently hosted a bridal shower at Barataria and everything was perfect. Aisha and Hayden were super responsive to our questions and requests throughout the entire process. The space has everything you'd need - tables, chairs, bar, sound bar, tv for displaying content, refrigerator, etc. The cost is reasonable and the location is ideal. I rented space at Barataria Gallery for a special event. The space is absolutely beautiful, and rental prices was reasonable. It was stressful trying to plane the event on my own however, the Greene's were always there to assist. They were very professional, and very supportive throughout the process. I've been to this place on several occasions because I had a couple friends that held events there and its been a pleasure each time. The space holds a good amount of people comfortably and they have whatever you may need to pull off a great event. Oh! As a nice touch, at each event, I saw lovely art work on display throughout the space.
