This brewery is pretty chill. It is located in Brooklyn. There are plenty of seating around the bar area and there are tables and chairs around it. They have plenty of beer, cider, mocktail options. I went with the patience and fortitude beer. It was pretty tasty if I may say so myself. They also have a private back room to have meetings, events. I Will deff be back to try more of the beers here.

Great brewery in Brooklyn. We came here during our last trip to NYC. Very spacious interior. Quiet place. Being that it was our first time, when we asked about their beers, the bartender didn't elaborate nor inquire about our preferences to match us with their suggested beer as other breweries tend to. We typically like to get flights to try them all, they don't have these in their menu selection.

Wild East Brewing Company in Brooklyn, New York offers a variety of beers, including lagers, ales, and sours, that are known for their balance and unique flavors. They consistently have beer on cask, and I was lucky enough to stumble across them on their anniversary! So they had some special offerings including their cask offering that I watched them tap. I had a few pours while there, but was blown away by the cask offering. Barrel-aged Prescience: A 100% Brettanomyces Fermented Farmhouse Style Blonde Ale in White Wine Barrels for 13 Months. Radiance: An English Style Bitter aged with Brett Poured from Cask. _______

Wild East Brewing is a craft brewery that opened in Brooklyn, New York in February 2020. It was founded by head brewer Brett Taylor and his business partners Lindsay Steen and Tyler March. Taylor and March first met in the homebrewing community. Taylor worked in journalism but wanted to get out and start his own brewery. March became interested and Steen, another homebrewer with a background in lab work, also came on board with the idea. The trio found a location in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood. The name 'Wild East" was chosen as a play on wild yeast as well as the Wild West. It reflects the brewery's initial concept of brewing beers with Brett(anomyces) yeast as well as the idea of how "anything goes". Although the trio initially intended to focus on brewing beers with mixed fermentation and brettanomyces, they soon realized that this wasn't feasible as styles and trends constantly change. They soon decided to brew a variety of styles and do a good job at brewing them all. Wild East is now regarded as one of the best breweries in Brooklyn and plans are underway to open a secondary taproom in Canandaigua, New York. I recently visited Wild East Brewing while I was cycling around NYC. I was trying out a number of Brooklyn breweries and pizzerias and this was my fourth stop of the day. The taproom was really chill with just a handful of customers. I actually prefer smaller, quiet taprooms over large, crowded ones. I pulled up a seat at the bar and began to browse the extensive menu. There were so many different styles that I had trouble choosing. I started out first with a LUKR pour of "Patience & Fortitude" (Czech Pilsner). It was bready, rich, malty, sweet and refreshing! I was already impressed. Up next, I requested a short pour of "L'Ultima Moda" (Italian Pilsner). I love Italian Pilsners and this one was so crisp and refreshing; probably the best beer that I tasted during my visit. I finished with a short pour of "King Monday" (New England IPA). It featured delicious notes of melon, stone fruit, strawberry, grapefruit and mango. I was super impressed with Wild East! I tried three different styles and they were all excellent. I would rank Wild East high on Brooklyn's impressive roster of breweries.

    Good beer. Foam belongs.

We brought our pup in here and it's great. Dog friendly brewery with very friendly staff. This is our first time here and the staff were helpful on recommending beers, especially the ones that put them on the map. There is also a Malaysian curry pop up shop here,Laksa Shop. We didn't get it but it smelled good and is vegetarian friendly.

Perfect to break out the stouts as Autumn arrives with Standard Deviation Stout from Wild East!

Always love marking off a New York area brewery. Well, it's not just for this particular area... I always love marking off a brewery I have been wanting to try anywhere and Wild East just happens to be in the NYC vicinity. For Wild East Steve and I enjoyed their Standard Deviation. This beer is a stout which was pretty good. Perhaps not one of the most memorable of stouts that Steve and I had in recent times but I have no real complaints about it either. Flavor features with this stout are roasty, dry, chocolate and a nuttiness along with a creamy body. Very usual characteristics with stouts and perhaps the reason why it didn't stick more was I didn't see much of a unusual signature along with the usual but again... no complaints really, just analysis. It was kind of pleasant drinking stouts more including this one as Autumn is beginning to set in with more chilled weather.

What a gem! Some friends and I held a game night here, and it was the perfect place to do so! The place was not too crowded on a Sat night; there was no loud music; and the ambiance and staff were very chill. The bar also had a limited but good selection of games to choose from (like Uno and Cards Against Humanity), which saved us from having to bring our own. The bar doesn't have much food, but allows guests to bring in outside food - a rarity in my experience in NYC! All in all, Wild East felt like your friendly neighborhood pub. If you're looking for a spacious location for a chill-night-out, Wild East is your place! I'll definitely be returning!

Came here with friends for a beer club meetup and had a great time. The space is very large so we were able to hang out in 3-4 large groups without overrunning the place. I love how they have the sinks outside of the toilets because I like washing my hands. The water cups and water fountain coming out of the lion's mouth is very cool too (look down for the foot pump to get the water flowing). The variety of beers was great. I had a Czech pilsner with a side pull as well as a couple of others. Bartender was slammed but kept everyone happy and hoppy. There were no food trucks that evening so I got some tacos from Nene's around the corner and it was perfect. Also, had a celebrity sighting as Willow Pill stopped in for a drink. Will definitely go back!

Being in Gowanus, I'm totally spoiled living in brewer's row - can't keep up with all these spots (Strong Rope, Finback, Wild East, Threes, Talea all within meters of each other)! Of all these places, Wild East might be one of my favorites. They have such a beautiful tap room - a nice U-shaped bar you can sit at, and plenty of tables with high ceilings. Amazing outdoor setup too - on a weekend, you'll see plenty of kids, dogs, and young families chilling outside. Their beers are delicious, and they a lot of bottles and cans as well. The customer service is 5 star too - a few months ago, they accidentally lost my credit card when I had a tab open. I had a Chase Sapphire Reserve, so I can assume they probably just mixed up the cards. The employee/manager gave me his contact info to update me, and ended up taking care of my tab! One of my all time faves to grab a beer in the neighborhood!

My friend took me here to try and help me figure out what kind of beer I like! I love breweries but I'm never able to figure out what kind of beer I enjoy. But luckily my friend was there and we discovered that I enjoy Pilsners! They had some very tasty beers and the guy who helped us out was so generous enough to have me try out a couple! He stopped to check on us, chat with us, and tell us all about the brewery. He was super friendly! There are plenty of tables, also seats on the bar and outside. It was such a wonderful time to try out this place!

This place is lively and a great place to hang out. They have different events from trivia to jazz to comedy with great pop up restaurants inside. The drink selection is broad and creative. Would recommend the turnstyle nopal if you like fruity drinks. I honestly would not recommend the astigmatic as the smoke flavor was overwhelming. Overall this is a great location with drinks that are a great price!

Came for some Friday evening drinks, this time with our dog as we learned they permit dogs indoors. There were definitely about a half a dozen dogs at any given time, so plan accordingly! They offer dog bowls for water, but considering it can get crowded and loud, I wouldn't recommend your pup if they get too stimulated. Beers are always delicious here, and considering the amount of IPAs most breweries tend to have, we love that WEBC offers a wide range beyond IPAs. The dont have a food menu but occasionally have a food vendor there for limited hours selling a small menu of items; this time was poutine. That aside, they do let you BYOF or have food delivered, which is awesome. We picked up Union Street Pizza around the corner as it was super convienent. We actually only ordered food because... we learned they play some sports! A large screen came down about 7:00pm, only for us to realize they were going to show the 8:30 NY Knicks playoff game. We hadn't decided a place to watch it, so this was perfect. The one massive screen seemed to be visible to the whole brewery, and with the sound on, it was a perfect spot. Looking forward to coming back for future games! Not many breweries show sports, so this was an unexpected win.

We felt so comfortable because there was one chef who was cooking our food and one waiter to serve vs a restaurant with lots of people. I find the manager and he proceeds to re-explain the situation as "so you want us to buy you a drink? It's not our fault or responsibility." We're adults. I never placed blame. A peculiar thing to say considering I just bought the drink and I'm in your establishment. Felt pretty short tbh. Not sure why I was expecting a different tone. He eventually just offers me a shot. I don't particularly like shots so I kindly slid the remainder of the spilled drink and declined the shot, suggesting that Managment show the next customer a little more grace and respect in tone. Obviously an establishment isn't responsible for spilled drinks and don't have to be kind at all. I get that. But I guess that's what separates a great establishment from a mediocre one just selling drinks and not an experience. Good luck to them.
