Not even worth a star rating. A disgrace to black business, the store environment is ran down and dirty. The fat guy in the back with the busted hair cut and outfit to match is just as unprofessional as the shows they had on tv. Wouldn't recommend bringing your dog for a cut, or a decent human being. But if you fit in the crowd the offer shitty cuts for a price of $15 and a little more if you want your face shaped up. But don't expect it to be done how you want it, because they can't cut. Only been here once"only barber shop I've ever been too btw" but was the best barber shop I have ever been too got my line up and fade by a gent named mike" not sure if he's still there" wait time was a little long but I didn't mind one bit just because of the atmosphere I got from the barbers and music they were great at keeping you rolling on the floor laughing but were serious about the way they styled you up. I would go as far to say Anchor is one of, if not, the best barber shop in Chattanooga. Until today. Mitchell reached out to me over Instagram and told me he will no longer cut my hair due to me "not tipping." Mind you, there are no signs inside or outside of the building or even on their website stating "Tipping is heavily encouraged." I'm in the mindset of charge what you think is a reflection of your craft and what is fair to you and me. If I can afford it I will give you my business. If not, no harm no foul and I will go elsewhere without distastefulness. This isn't the food service industry where they make $2/hr and rely on tips to make a living. I've been with Anchor when they were $23 per cut, $27 per cut, and now $30 per cut. No problem. It's worth it. I wish he could have at least reached out to me and told me his feelings on tipping before cutting me off completely. Attached is our conversation via Instagram and Facebook. Mitchell, I hate it had to end this way. I apologize that you feel like we couldn't have handled this differently.
