I have been going to Dirty City Barber Shop since it opened. The owner Donald is also someone I have known personally for many years and I love this guy like family. Donald is being attacked by a few for saying he would defend his business. That is what people do, they defend their property. He posted something he should not have said and it has been taken to the extreme. Please know we all are guilty of making comments but no one should have their business targeted over a poor choice of words. None of which were racial slurs! Donald is an amazing person and he would do anything to help you if you needed him. I am sad that he is being attacked and being called racist, he is ANYTHING but that! Donald is a sweet, kind man and a Fantastic Barber/Hairstylist. Thankful for Donald and Scotland! I have 4 boys and my hubby who all enjoy getting haircuts by them and have been going to them since Dirty City opened up! They listen to what they want, they are professional, experienced, quick, and friendly! The rest of the staff are super friendly too! Another thing I appreciate is that I think the one time we had to wait it was no more than a few minute for my boys to get in their chairs- otherwise they are always on time. The place is well put together/clean, great location to go get a bite after or go to the city's biggest park and beautiful bridge. Lastly, I LOVE that I can easily book appointments myself with ease through FB and I get a text confirmation right after booking and a text reminder the day of. It is awesome! read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Donald since he was at All City Barbershop before opening Dirty City. I don't really care what my hair looks like and usually leave it up to him, but I keep going back even though it's on the other side of town from me because he's laid back, he can hold a pleasant conversation and the atmosphere in his shop is really nice. Free beer doesn't hurt as well! And Donald isn't the only one serving up freshness. My buddy gets his hair cut by Scotland at the shop and he comes back to work ugly as hell, but his hair always looks great! Highly recommend if you're a dude's dude to go check out this place. I went here to get a shave and a haircut before my wedding. Bobby listened to what I was going for, worked with my vision, and helped me look excellent for my big day. One surprising takeaway was how gentle Bobby was as he worked. His demeanor, personality, and skill made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I went back again later, and really enjoyed the experience once more. Bobby remembered my name, asked me about the wedding, and I just felt so welcomed! i have been to north shore barbers twice. both times I just picked the first available barber. I did review all their work first but you just can't go wrong with any of these guys. they are artists at what they do. the first time frank was my barber, he did a great job I got so many compliments. the second time, today, I got the new guy Elijah he saw me as soon as I arrived new my name and got to work. you can tell he is passionate about his job and he was quick too. my hair is it looks so good . this place is the best of the best. go there have a beer relax with these dudes read more
