Got an excellent haircut and shave for a fair price. Josh was great as he got me in and out fairly quick. I'll be going back there.

Between COVID-19 and facial rebellion, I decided to get a haircut and a shave at the Good Vibes…read moreBarbershop in downtown Chippewa Lake, Ohio. It's right off of Lake Road at the entrance to Chippewa-on-the Lake Village and has plenty of parking available. Upon entering you are greeted by barber chairs nestled in an all wood decor which gives the impression of a log cabin. When I was there there were two barbers; one was busy with a man with a mullet, and another. I was welcomed, shown a chair, and asked what I was looking for? I asked for a cut and a shave. (I like my haircut a specific way, so gave him instructions.) I prefer my hair be cut traditionally; with a comb and scissors, and then a finished with a trimmer. What i got for $40 was a 100% trim haircut! Sure, it was quick, and it looks great, but after it's cut it doesn't quite lay right, and when it grows out it looks like crap. Sort of like putting a bowl on your head and cutting everything below it, it's the monk look. Then came the standard $40 shave. I did appreciate the multilevel lather and hot towel ritual which came with a traditional shave, however, as with the haircut, it wasn't quite what I expected. Instead of using a traditional straight edge razor, I got something different; not that that's bad mind you but, as he was working my face I could tell he was using a different type of blade. The feel, the sound were not quite right, so I asked, "what are you using?" He told me a disposable blade. I am not a shave expert by any means, but based on the ones i have had, i would have been better off shaving at home. The barber missed at least four areas that I had to finished with my Gillette. * And, for those who have never had a traditional straight edge razor cut, there is nothing like it in the world. Your face is in shock, the hairs don't grow, and you have a baby smooth face for 3 days! Normally, I would pay about $40 for both, so I won't be going back to this barbershop again. Cost and lack of attention to detail have cost them my future business.
