I am an EASY clipper cut, my local barber charges 11 bucks and I tip it up to $50 or 60. Every time. Main guy seems cool AF. Not sure I will be back in area but the customer experience of almost getting a cut wasn't great. Again, I know it may be all or mostly appts. Sloucher was the biggest buzz kill because every barber brings something different personality-wise and not sure who want to even be adjacent to that.

I arrived early to my 1st and 2nd appointments; and, the 1st appointment was good , which is why I booked the 2nd. I still waited 30-40 minutes before the second appointment began. On my 3rd appointment, I waited 10 minutes until the receptionist was off the phone just to be checked in and told that another barber would be completing my service. I said OK and was told he was finishing up. I waited another 10 minutes (while I read the reviews of the lounge) before I walked out. If we are talking about punctuality, I'll give you the 11 minutes, and you still owe me some time. I guess all those other people in the reviews complaining about your double-booking were 11 minutes late as well. You already stated in your own words, "To feel slighted is absolutely understandable and I will personally own that." There is nothing more to say after that. To accuse me of being condescending when all I am doing is telling my side tells me two things. #1, you don't know what condescending means. And #2, you don't know what accountability means. Lastly, I have never seen or spoken with a Lozell S. I spoke with a woman that day. I did not get her name. I was never asked, nor was I ever offered an opportunity to speak with the owner. If I had, I would have taken that opportunity. I am a reasonable person. I asked her if I could receive 50% back. She said no refunds. I said OK. She never mentioned a refund at all. I took it like a life lesson, and I left peacefully. I did not know I had been given a refund until after I left my initial review. Even then, I only asked for 50% back. If anyone says anything different, it is a lie. I did receive the deposit back, and it is appreciated. To anyone reading this: Read my comment carefully. Then read the response from the owner. Then ask yourself if you really want to take the chance of having to deal with this. A professional owner would have stopped at "To feel slighted is absolutely understandable, and I will personally own that." Instead, this owner would rather call the customer a liar in a Yelp review. Read the other reviews and ask yourself if you think I'm lying. This has been wild.

Can we make that SIX stars? I am a Displaced San Franciscan living in this great city known as Cleveland Ohio. My grooming needs are very simple, a shaved head and a goatee trim. This is not as easy to find at it may seem. A friend of mine, also from California 'discovered' this barber shop and referred me to a artisan there by the name of Jason. Jason was great, and did exactly what I needed, took his time and made sure everything was to my liking. However as I sat there I saw some of the most amazing cuts and 'transitions' by his fellow constituents that I have seen in any barber shop in my life, I am not joking. There was this one guy in the chair across from who came in with a very updated look but wanted a change. OMG when the guy cutting his hair and working his facial hair was finished you could not tell it was the same client. Very great atmosphere, very avant garde and upbeat. It is apparent that the guys that work at this shop are glad to be there and enjoy what they're doing. This is not a traditional boring Cleveland barber shop. It reminds me of something that you would find in Haight Ashbury in San Francisco, various neighborhoods in Oakland in the East Bay, the West Village of New York City or the art districts of cities in Europe such as ( Yes I've been to them many times) Amsterdam, Paris, Warsaw or London. If you're an 'old guy' ( I wasn't born yesterday either) remember this is the new generation, the shops in demand, loud and without an appointment the wait can be long. However the long wait is worth every minute. Kudos to all who work there and a big thanks to Jason for doing what he does well. Peace to my new friends, keep it up. I must have come on a bad day, or caught my "master barber" Matt ( who is also an assistant manager) at a bad time. I waited for a cut and beard trim for nearly an hour. Matt finished with a customer and proceeded to make me wait an additional 10 minutes. While he chatted up some chippy who came in from outside. Now I know everyone needs a break, but Matt just seemed burned out and kinda annoyed at me when I was finally summoned to his chair. He wasn't focused on my cut & trim, instead he was interacting ( negatively) with a junior barber and was acting like a prima donna. My cut was ok, a pretty basic fade. My beard trim was sh*t, I grow a good full beard. I wanted it squared. Instead I got the Norwegian Fisherman (a round beard under the chin). It sucked big time! With all of the hype and a disastrous visit to the west side Urban Kutz, I'd hoped I had finally found a true gentleman's barbershop. My experience was definitely sub-par. Can anyone recommend a true Barbershop/ Beardsmith in the Cleveland area? A shop where they take a real interest in EVERY customer and dont just rest on their laurels?! I had high expectations when I first visited this barbershop, hoping to find a reliable barber. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but positive. After waiting nearly an hour past my scheduled time, the barber displayed an unprofessional attitude throughout the service. To make matters worse, he ended up cutting my ear, causing it to bleed--something I've never experienced in all my years of going to barbershops. Mistakes happen, but the lack of care and professionalism was unacceptable. I have been getting my haircut from the two owners for over 8 years, maybe even 10 for all I remember. Zach and Pat are two genuine and Skilled Barbers who I trust my hair with, and that is hard to do. Along with the help of Frank, Javier(aka Paul) and Ryan, you have a killer team that can get you in and out and looking fresh! Rico has been cutting my sons hair since last March for his 5th birthday and he's been the best barber we've ever seen. hair cuts went from hour long appointments where we couldn't get a close fade because no barber had the patience for my sons sensory issues, to 25-30 minute max and Rico is able to get a clean bald fade with design easily.
