He is very knowledgable and makes good suggestions to my requests. I actually like his most recent style enough to get it done a second time. His decor is minimal with some cool photos on the walls and a few sofas. The tv will distract you while you wait because there is no appointments in the barber world. For the basic cut its very affordable (under $20 for cut, tax and tip) but I sometimes get the wash and style which is only a few extra bucks but worth it if you're going out right away. St Albert has a lot of barbers and this is the one I choose to spend my money at because of the service, cut quality and experince. Thanks Sam!

Finally took him back and was disappointed to see most of the extras about this place closed because of COVID - the stand up video game machine, the iPads, no glass bottles of self-serve pop, etc. I get it but this place is pricey and to not have the extras made it feel like a rip off. Happy to update and add another star for the manager, Nola…read more Totally delighted with my second visit, this time for color. Nola said she had given a lot of thought to (as she put it) "taking me out of my box but not terrifying me." That statement alone sent my confidence soaring, as it exactly described what I wanted. When I look in a mirror, historically I just see drab and defeated hair. Colorists traditionally add warm highlights to try to brighten it (and my spirits), but I keep pleading that I'm a "Winter" and need cool, not warm. Nola listened and completely agreed, and understood that although I love jewel tones and greatly admire teals and purples and fushias, I'm waaaay too timid to rock a look like she herself has (check her out- it's fabulous!). What she concocted for me is a wonderful maroon/violet base for my dark brown hair, with ash highlights that don't make me look sickly. And, hidden underneath, invisible unless I choose to tuck my hair back and feel more fearless, are two streaks of purple that give me a little kick. The result? I LOVE it! Nola has promised to "push" me a little further over time, and reminded me that the worst that can ever happen is I don't like something and we simply color over it. I do believe she's making me finally get brave about having a little fun - goodbye drab, hello smiles! I want to add that over the two visits, I saw her clients with everything from "senior citizen more-staid" cuts to a very edgy almost-shaved 'do, so she can handle the whole spectrum. Came across it online and decided to give it a try due to all the good reviews on Google and their Facebook page. It can be easy to miss at first, as it is tucked inside a strip mall just beside the Dairy Queen and across from the Sobey's. Inside it's nice and clean with some TV's on the sports channels (always a bonus for us sports fans). Lots of parking. I have to say that they provided me with the best fade shave on the sides and back I've ever got (you'd think most places could get it right, but you'd be surprised...thank God hair can grow back haha). I'm a picky guy and have found most places either shave it too short or leave too much. And if you read their other online reviews you will see others agree with me, that they do a great job and will actually listen to what you want. Well, now that I have found this place, this will be my new go to place for hair cuts. Price is also very reasonable, especially since I go every 2-3 weeks.

I was surprised at how many salon chairs there were - about a dozen I think. I spotted a nail salon area in the back as well. The layout is spacious - you hear others around you but never feel in someone else's space or conversation. Reanna gave me a lovely haircut today complete with styled curls. She listened to my hair concerns, offered options, and checked in throughout to see if the cut and style was going as I hoped. I would definitely return here again and recommend to others. When Cherie moved from another salon to here, I followed her and I was really impressed when I walked in. It's a really posh looking place without being uptight or snooty. Everyone is really nice here. There's a coffee and water station by the entrance if you want something to drink during your service. There's also lots of great natural light coming in to the salon. I took a quick look through their price list and everything seems to be pretty reasonable and on par with other places in the area. I noticed a nail station as well, so I might have to check that out next time too.
