She was very sweet and VERY patient while the 2 little ones I was with looked, touch and screeched at every glittering item they saw! My stylist, Shada did my box braids. Let me say this, SHE DOES NOT BRAID TIGHT. I left with my edges fully intact!! I have a VERY sensitive scalp. Everyone there is so nice and funny and make sure you are okay while receiving service from them. Shada was available for all of my hair questions and concerns prior to my appointment. My mid-jumbo box braid were done in 4 hours. She also washed my hair and gave me a cooling scalp massage. In total I paid $140 which is PERFECT for the service I received. I rushed to get to the shop only to be told there were four customers ahead of me. I told them I had an appointment. No matter. By that point, I was the only person in the shop so I got the haircut which was the worst of my adult life, leaving my hair uneven and scruffy. I am not exaggerating. Shop management and the barbers were both subpar and that is being kind. I rarely leave Yelp reviews, maybe once every five years. I understand everyone has issues, but this shop is so poorly run that it should be shut down.

I called on this past Saturday and was told to come in Tuesday or Saturday before 6:00 for a consultation. I decided to go yesterday (which was a Tuesday afternoon), so I left work early in order to get there no later than 5:30, as I commute and it required me taking 2 buses. When I got there, at 5:22, a young lady opened the door and told me they were closed, she was the only one there, and she would be unable to give me a consultation. I told her what I was told on Saturday and without apology, told me to come back tomorrow after 9:00 or Saturday at the same time. I was so disappointed that I just said thank you and left. Maybe I am just in my feelings, but I was really looking forward to my consultation and annoyed that I took 2 buses for nothing. The young lady was not unpleasant, however, she could have been a bit nicer and at least apologized for the inconvenience. Long story short, unsure about whether I will go back or not.
