This would be my 2nd review. My experience there was a great welcome but the haircut itself was the worst ever. I walked out of there with a bald spot on the back of my head, I did write my first review then showing my anger and disappointment. After speaking with a few people at this business and was offered my $$ back. Well because of my HONEST review I then was denied my refund. Tell me if im wrong but I thought the purpose of writing reviews is to report your good or BAD experience. So, with that being said if you have a bad experience as I did get your $$ back prior to writing your review. I was told " to remove my review until then I would not get my refund". At the end of it all "they all" realized that I was due my refund for bad cut and returned to me my $$$$. Thanks for another lesson in life Barberstry. read more

I have done business with Barberstry Company in Englewood, FL for about 3 years, ranging from hair cuts, hot shaves and massages. The service, until yesterday, ranged from Ok to good. Yesterday, I received a callback from Sara. I had requested this call IF the Barberstry email 25% discount offer would not be honored for my visit. I had booked with Sara online. Turns out, Sara is also the owner. She was as cold as ice and, in a very matter of fact way, said she would not honor the discount. Anyone but her because she hadn't discounted her services in 20 years...like I was supposed to know that. I declined the offer. From that point on, she was totally arrogant and extremely rude. Absolutely NO idea how to talk to a customer. She has a 50% cancellation policy for online bookings which, according to her staff, is the only way take advantage of an email discount (If you make the appointment on the phone, they will not apply the discount). I called her back to make sure that she was not going to charge me that cancellation fee since she had waited until 1.5 hours before my scheduled appointment to get back to me. She immediately hung up on me and took her phone off the hook or blocked me so I couldn't call again. Based on my recent experience, it is my opinion that no one should do business at this salon. If the owner customer service is that bad, what else might be going on there. Many other salons that want and appreciate our business. read more

It is a delight to take my husband to this shop. Anthony has been Todd's stylist this season. My husband is a difficult client because he is stroke-disabled and he has dementia. Nonetheless, Anthony, indeed all of the staff at Barberstry, show kindness, patience and understanding. Moreover, Todd has been getting the best haircuts of his 85 years of living. Love it here. I use Virgil who consistently does an awesome job on my hair. It have a lot of curls so it's a challenge, but he takes his time, asks a lot of questions about what I want, and I am always happy with my cut. read more
