Yesterday she literally sneered at me throughout my appointment acting as if I was a burden to her and that she didn't have the time to do me as she was so busy. The final straw was when she started to apply the gel polish I had picked out. She stated that the polish I picked out was no good. She didn't explain why but just kept repeating it. She walked away and said she would come back after I picked another polish. I picked another one in the same pink color family. She again said "no good" and basically threw the bottle on the table. She handed me another group of swatches and told me to pick one. None of them were even close to what I wanted. Eventually she handed me another one that worked. Again sneering and stomping around throughout. Not a Spa service,downright rude! When I gave her a $5 tip(that she did not deserve) she again sneered at me, did not thank me and did not say goodbye. It's a full service salon (minus nails) with about 8 hair stations when you first walk in, and a separate aesthetics area tucked away in the back. It is right on public square, so parking is a pain on the street, but I was told that there's also a parking lot tucked behind it that is much easier to deal with. I only knocked a star off because of the prices -- although they are the best prices in the area for Brazilians ($70 initially, then $60 from then on with recurring appointments). I've seen Hilary twice now, and she makes the process as quick and painless as possible. Plus she's fun to chat with, and knows a lot about the area -- which for me not being a local is helpful :) I've been to a couple other places for waxing so far, and they've either been outrageously priced and take forever, or the salons were very out of the way and inconvenient because they only took cash. So, I will definitely continue to see Hilary for her services as long as I'm in the area, and you should too!

There were 3 techs there, and when I arrived at 3p, there were 4 customers, 3 in chairs. Man, are they slow!!! By 430p, I was still sitting there waiting!!!! I also watched a young lady come in complaining she had been there the previous day, her polish felt like sand, her cuticles had been cut up, and they cut them uneven and on her fingers. She said she had paid $60 and she thought it should have been better. The guy told her to "come back sometime next week and I'll see what I can do". She walked out in tears. I thought about trying again this morning, but screw that! It's not worth me walking out pissed later.

I explained clearly that it's no problem to recline and my surgeon suggested having my hair washed in a salon. I called once (I'll call you back I promise) I called again (omg I forgot I'll call you later), I called again, left a message... I called this morning and wow! She told me again she forgot to call me and then "oh I don't have any openings" then switched to "I'm worried about your neck" (it's my lower back) I finally said if you don't want to do it I understand. Hemming and hawing. I'm in tears by now, this has not been easy for me. I finally said just never mind I'll find somewhere else. No apology nothing.
