I've been a customer of Bare waxing for many years but today was my first visit to the Huntington Beach location. I love how consistent all the locations are, and each is clean and fresh! My waxer was Bianca - also a first. She was gentle and thorough - even got the tweezers out! Realistically, I've never had a bad wax from any waxer at Bare. They are all superb, and I will drive long distances for their service. My lifetime Brazilian waxer left the state so I needed to find my regular spot. Reviews of Bare looked great and they have not disappointed. Ambiance is calm, relaxing and superbly clean! Very cute and trendy interior. Usually you can check in on the app when you walk in so there is not always someone at the front but they will be there shortly to help you. Nadia is my waxer and she is the absolute best! She is super sweet and makes you feel like youve known her for years. She has great technique and honestly my Brazilian waxes are nearly painless. I visited OC waxing near Newport Beach in a shopping center with an open air eatery. They were professional and efficient. My therapist made me feel at ease. It can be uncomfortable exposing your parts to a stranger let alone a woman. But the therapist took care in making me feel comfortable. I had a butt strip and butt wax. I am careful to insure that area is very clean so I double check using the bathroom at the spa. They also offer you a wipe and a small cover however I carry my own wipes and wash those areas repeatedly before having someone wax me. I have heard horror stories from some therapist. The place is clean and organized. Their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend them. I wish we had them in the East Coast in ATL. They would make a ton of money. read more

I've been really shy about getting any kind of waxing done, and I have to say having Im grateful for this place. Nadia explained the process so well to me and she's just such a good person to talk to. Already this is my girl for waxing. When I booked online I selected 7:30 pm but they called and cancelled me saying I was late 6 minutes into my appointment and I was supposed to fill out a form prior to my appointment so they had scheduled me @ 7:20 pm and I should've known about it. I have been going to Costa Mesa location but they won't transfer the doc. They should've called and notified me instead of sending me an automated text which I never received. read more

A couple of months ago I made the decision to get waxed and I was SO NERVOUS. Everyone told me I would regret it, it hurts too much, too expensive, ect. I booked my first Brazilian appointment (EVER) with Bri and she made it so quick, painless, and easy! I have never been happier. The type of waxing they use at this salon ensures that I don't get any ingrown hairs and look flawless in my swimsuit. Bri is so personable and answered any questions I had each time. I have now successfully been waxed for several months and I don't think I'll ever go back to using my razor. I usually do not change people but another reason I appreciate this salon is because booking is very flexible. My most recent visit was with Victoria, she was just as amazing and again made the waxing process simple and painless. They are all so knowledgeable, happy, and have a lot of helpful products. I got my first ever Brazilian wax at OC Bare Wax and Alexandrea made the whole experience amazing. I was very nervous because I didn't know what to expect, but from the moment I walked in, the ambience of the place was very calming, and it smelled so good so that helped me relax a bit. Alexandrea was super sweet super friendly. I loved her energy she made me feel safe, welcomed and walked me through everything. She definitely knew what she was doing. Yes, we are a Medical Practice owned by Dr. Mark Bernardi and our nurses are Nurse Practitioners with over 10 years of laser and cosmetic experience!

What type of laser hair removal machine do you guys use?

We use the most recent version of the Candela Gentle Max Pro. This laser provides both YAG and Alexandrite which allows laser for every skin type.

Do you have to call in advance for an appointment or is it walk in?

This is my favorite place to get waxes. The staff are so friendly, and the waxes don't hurt that much. The only thing that's kind of odd is that now they have you check in online by downloading an app... when there's a human sitting right there at reception. I have app download/signup/login fatigue! I was apprehensive but all her reviews talked about how sweet, personable and how keen her attention to detail was. For once the people spoke truth!!! Brandy is AMAZING!!! Waxing lady bits is personal business and can be traumatizing with the wrong hedge slayer in there just rip'n up weeds like they not attached to a million nerve endings! I normally take a bottle of tea tree soothing lotion and slater it on in the car after Sugaring. I'm out of habit and forgot today so I was worried how my drive home was going to be. I worried for nothing, Brandy even did the deep breath in strong exhale moments for the tough spots without me even saying anything or asking for those pauses pre-lift. Her sugar was buttery soft and warm and she knew the right moment to change her ball. Ugh I can't stand when someone keeps trying to use a sugar ball turned cold and hard on me, that don't feel good mam, stop it!!! Not only was she clearly intuned she was thorough, she got her inspector gadget magnifying light and tweezed the rebellious kids right out. Lastly, I forgot to ask her what it was but she rub something on my skin and it simmered down so well that I didn't need to apply anything when I got home!!! Normally you have to pay for any kind of soothing cream for after care but Brandy obviously gets that it should be part of the service Plus what better way to guarantee return customer than making sure they have as comfortable of an experience as possible! A+ for everything!!!
