I selected Raquel as my barber since other reviewers raved about her skills and sure enough -- the hype is well deserved! She greeted me immediately upon walking in as she was finishing up with another client so I sat and soaked up the clean, sparkly-looking barber shop. I was offered a drink while a waited which was cool. On to the actual service, Raquel was super on point, asking and actively listening to what I was looking for (a Royal Shave). She was incredibly thorough and took her time prepping the work area using a number of tools to clean and moisturize while trimming down the hair to get it ready for the straight razor shave. The hot towels and steam treatment for my face were soothing and definitely made a big difference with me since my facial hair grows thick, leading to painful shaves if not done properly. But again, Raquel came through in spades with the cleanest, smoothest shave I've had well, probably ever. It seriously was that good! The post-shave treatment of moisturizers and good-for-your-skin products left me feeling daisy fresh and the clincher? The cold towel was epic -- that's a pleasant first. Raquel helped my shaved head by cleaning that up with her shavers to complete the look. I was grateful and beyond happy with the services I received. There's good music playing and my service (Brazilian wax) was done quickly and efficiently. I have been to several other waxing places all over the Fort Lauderdale and Miami area, European wax center had me having to pay for someone else to re-wax because they literally missed 40% of waxing. It was ridiculous. And natura spa but after trying several estheticians there each one either left my scarred from the wax being too hot and ignoring my requests to cool it down, or they left behind many patches.
