She finished my set in a little more than 30 minutes - which was great at the moment. Once I got home, I realized she had finished so quickly because the work was so sloppy. She placed very thick and long lashes together, many at a time, to one lash. Instead of going lash by lash, she placed the extensions in a line, forming a cat eye that I had asked for. Instead of gathering fans, the lashes were literally grouped into a straight line. I didn't have time to fix this or speak to the owner, because I had a flight that same day. I dealt with the lashes, but slowly they became more and more irritating. I tried all methods to remove them but they just didn't come off. The glue used was very thick, and too much was used. Today, I had to pay to get them removed because I was literally in pain, apart from looking ridiculouous. I now have gaps in my lashes, as well as very, very thin lashes as a result of the weight from the extensions.

I was in desperate need to remove some hideous acrylics before I returned to my nursing position from maternity leave and they were able to grant me an appointment immediately after calling. The appointment option meant no wait, no stress. I was welcomed with smiles and offers of fresh fruit, coffee, water and an array of teas. My manicurist eased into pleasant conversation and was very detailed in her work. She was not rushed and for once a manicure didn't feel like I was being serviced by a machine. The second visit was for a couples massage. I opted for the deep tissue massage; the only way to go, in my opinion. My therapist was very good with her hands and located all my trouble spots. A nice touch: a little bit of aromatherapy to start, a warm towel was laid on my back after the massage and I was immediately offered my choice of water, wine or tea when it was over. All I needed was a nap! The massage was everything. I gave a 4 star review only because the room could have been a bit warmer (but I'm usually cold anyway). She said that if I paid "now" (before I left that day), she would reduce the payment to $150 for the touch-up. I hesitated, but since she was "nice", I thought I could trust her. BIG MISTAKE! When I contacted her a month later, she made it impossible to make a follow-up appointment. Then, when she finally did confirm a second appointment with me, but she confirmed the appointment for her to to do my one month touch-up at a RNDOM PRIVATE RESIDENCE APT!!! And then she ended up cancelling our appointment two days before. I asked for my money back. She asked me if she could Zelle me back "in two days - Friday". And guess what? She never has. That was over a month ago now. She has never responded to me. I have called her, left voicemails and texted her, and she has never responded nor paid me back. She essentially stole $150 from me. My hard earned money. I am a single young person trying to live on my own in an expensive city. And because I live at least an hour away, and I work more than 45 hour work weeks, I have not been able to go in-person and try to get my money back. I read the reviews and felt she was the best choice. She's very personable. I decided on armpits, Brazilian, face and eyebrows. My Brazilian and armpits went fairly well. I had more ingrowns after this sugaring than the previous one, I'm not sure who's to blame. To be honest. I know I exfoliate. My eyebrows were gorgeous, no issues there. The face sugaring... she told me I had bumps because of folliculitis. This was the first case of her dodging blame and blaming the customer. It was my first time having the hair removed from my face. So I'm not sure if that's true or not but what I do know is. She does double dip in the wax. So it could have been a a slight infection. Today when she messed up my eyebrows, well.... the skin under them.... she tried to tell me that it was a normal thing just like she said the folliculitis was a normal thing. She went from saying all I made a mistake I didn't hold your skin tight enough..... to saying it's a normal thing it happens to everyone. I'm starting to think the "folliculitis" was not a normal thing. It caused a lot of hyperpigmentation on my face. For which she also wouldn't hold herself accountable for. The thing is, if it was just folliculitis, then my eyebrows and lip should've had folliculitis as well but it was just on the sides. I've had to explain multiple times if someone comes to you to receive a treatment, and when they leave their face is worse. You have to hold yourself accountable for stuff like that. Today I had to explain to her that you can't mentally manipulate someone and try to make them feel like it's their fault when you do something wrong. She tried to tell me if you're out in the sun too much or maybe use retinol or maybe it's just the wax the wax took the skin off. No you control the way you waxed the skin off my face. She said she never had a client try to make her feel bad before. And I was a bad person. But I can't make you feel bad if you feel bad.... it's because you know you did something wrong. She kept saying that I should stop accusing her. When it was fresh and it just happened.... and there is no one else to, as she calls it, accuse. She started getting loud she started talking over me all of the signs that people exhibit when they know they're wrong. She had a client that was coming right after me even though she said she didn't work on Mondays. I think maybe she was rushing. Imagine putting wax on a wax strip on skin, and not holding it taut. When you go to rip it off, the skin is going to lift with it vs holding it tight enough so it can't. But she tried to tell me "the wax grabbed the skin and the skin just lifted" at first. The skin doesn't just lift on its own. When she saw I wasn't buying it then she said..... "maybe I didn't hold your skin enough". She keeps calling it a minor "skin irritation" what I don't think she understands is.... she waxed multiple layers of skin off of my face. I've got quite a bit of hyperpigmentation on my skin from the sugaring.
