Pontoon boats was never my vibe but being on the water is something we enjoy. When we got to the park to pick up the boat we were greeted by Drew on the water. He's a nice guy and very helpful. He made sure everything was set up for us to ride and we felt confident with our rental. He shared with us our options where we could ride and recommended a great spot for us to drop anchor and swim. Spent 4 hours on the water and it was awesome! We swam and just hung on the boat. The kids had a blast jumping off the back of the boat into the water. Pick up and drop off was really simple. We were a group of 10 and we all felt comfortable and had plenty of room on the boat. On our ride we saw dolphins, manatees and deer. When we dropped anchor, we saw fish and crabs on the beach. As a plus the kids enjoyed driving the boat with me. I know the memories will last forever with the kids and myself. If you never drove a boat it is simple to drive. Well worth the experience and look forward to future rentals!

While I was in Orlando on business, I made a call to Florida Family Marine and was fortunate enough to connect with Josh Gourley, the Sales Manager. From beginning to end, the process of acquiring the boat was made easy and enjoyable by Josh and the entire team at Florida Family Marine. The staff on Old New York Avenue politely showed me every aspect of the used boat, and they disclosed both good and not so good items and made everything on the boat 100% functional before I picked her up. They detailed the cushions and cockpit as well as the hull and made the boat feel new to me. The test drive on the St. Johns River (which included some much-appreciated trailering schooling) with Josh was more like a fun family outing with your relaxed brother-in-law than a shake-down run! Josh and the Florida Family Marine team take the hassles out of purchasing a used boat. I had some concerns because although my daughter is a strong swimmer she can be flighty. Mark her instructor was very personable. He has a calm demeanor about him and jolly at the same time. It is clear he loves to dive and teach. My daughter said he has a special way to explain things that make it extra fun. I think Mark was very patient and he let her wander around and take some time to look at everything in amazement, rather than constantly tapping her on the shoulder to get her back on task. Very small boat. Very filthy. I've been on a lot of charters and this one was by far the worst. And I've never had a bad one until now. I called the Coast Guard and they told me this boat is not certificated so they don't have a lot of regulations. I guess I've always been lucky and had great ones but I know now to ask two questions. Are you certified through the Coast Guard and do you have a restroom!
