This flea market is typical of what you will find in border town flea markets, such as the ones I used to go to in Texas. Go here with the right frame of mind & accept it for what it is & you will have a great time. Quite honestly I have a better time here than in any air conditioned mall or God forbid south beach (stopped going there altogether). It is a very refreshing breather from the same old of SFL. Yes it caters mainly to Mexican agri workers & homestead blue collar, so understand that before you make the trek, great tejano music, great Mexican food, really wonderful "salt of the earth" type people, fresh produce, big pet shop, & the usual flea market type merchandise. Love it!

Good produce section, delicious fresh helado, but all merchandise is the typical crap you see at every flea market. Nothing of value.

I mean, LOTS of it - you probably won't find anyplace else in Miami that holds so much produce in a single setting, while open to the public!

There are tons of vendors, plenty of produce, food trucks, fresh juices, games and rides for kids, lots of parking, and enough things to see that you can easily spend a few hours just wandering around. My favorite part, and honestly the main reason I keep coming back, is La Fontana Verde. If you love herbs, teas, tinctures, and natural wellness, do yourself a favor and stop in. The owners are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. My family and I always end up asking a million questions, and they never make us feel rushed. They genuinely care and are always willing to share their knowledge. It's become our go-to herb shop. The produce selection at the market is huge, and it's actually kind of fun comparing prices between vendors. My only wish is that there were more certified organic fruits and vegetables available. If organic produce is your top priority, that may be a downside. But if you're looking for seasonal fruits, including seeded watermelons (yes, fruit is supposed to have seeds!), you'll find plenty of options. Another bonus is that parts of the market are covered, so even if Florida decides to randomly rain on your plans, you can still enjoy walking around. Overall, Redland Market Village is a South Florida staple. Come for the produce, stay for the Seeded fruit, and definitely don't leave without stopping by La Fontana Verde.

Theres an outdoor fresh market, and several restaurants servings tacos, all types of Spanish delicious goodness, and drinks! In the market area you'll find lots of local, and exotic fruits and veggies, there's also several flower and plant shops. There's even a small little pet stores selling some small baby animals: rabbits, birds, hamster's etc. There's an indoor mall, 2 levels. Inside is AC controlled, so it's nice to come in and cool down after walking around outsides. Inside has lots of small shops and booths, you'll find everything under the sun at this flee market, from paintings, to jewelry, shoes, car parts, pantry items, clothing for all ages, the list goes on!! Inside also has restaurants which serve a variety of things, Greek, Chinese, Spanish, American, I feel like there's something for everyone here. I come here when I have family visiting from out of town just for the experience. Everyone walks away with a full belly, and some kind of treasure found at a random shop. The establishment is old: so don't come here expecting 5 star service and decor. It's a very outdated and old building, it definitely shows its age. Nevertheless, the people who sell in the markets, restaurants and shops are very friendly. It's one of these places where you'd say to yourself, it's the simple things.

With a big goal of shopping local this holiday season, I stopped by their market on the Sunday after Black Friday to support shopping small businesses. I always love the vendors they have and got a good amount of holiday shopping done. Some of my favorite vendors this time around were Hailey Pancakes, Gypset Co, and the Slip-not headband company. If you get the chance to get Hailey's macarons, do it! She had amazing flavors like coquito (so gooooood) and strawberry cheesecake. They were true to flavor and not overly sweet. Gypset Co has beautiful dainty & minimal jewelry for you best gal friends. I am OBSESSED with Slip-not's headbands. The material is so soft and she has a variety of colors and patterns. There were so many vendors to show love to and buy from! I definitely recommend checking the Flamingo Flea at their next event, wherever that may be. What a great way to support local and get unique gifts this holiday season!

Markets for Makers was originally founded in 2015 and have expanded to a few different locations. After speaking with some of the vendors, this Miami Market for Makers usually takes place at The Moore Building on a multi level indoor space. The outdoor market in the Miami Design District at Jungle Plaza happens from time to time. Check their Instagram page or website for regular updates. They thrive on helping small businesses get to the forefront of the community. I love this. They have so many different vendors such as clothing, accessories, jewelry, gourmet foods, pet stuff, candles and so much more. The outdoor space is stunning and the hosts of the event are incredibly organized and efficient. Love the space, decor, vendors and just about everything about this event. Keep an eye out on their website for upcoming dates as this is not a regular weekly farmers market type of event. Happy to be able to attend this and check out all the cool vendors involved. They maintain safety precautions by asking all attendees and makers to wear masks at all times except when you're eating or drinking. There is a space with picnic tables for this. Come out for a beautiful day outdoors and check out these cool makers. After you're done, stick around and walk around the Miami Arts District. You won't regret it. I can't tell you how much I love this outdoor market concept, especially during this time of Covid.
