A cute stop for locals or visitors from out of town. So worth the $5 admission fee if you remember and love all the classic cartoons/comics: Peanuts, Smurfs, Gumby, Raggedy Ann, California Raisins, Garfield, Pink Panther, Popeye, Simpsons and much, much, more. The two floor museum building is a bit overwhelming...if you are a neat freak, you might want to run. If you are a hoarder, you will love it. The first floor is cramped with a low ceiling, but the second floor is more open and less cluttered. There are items neatly organized in glass cases and protective covers, but it is everywhere from the ceiling down to the floor. Hard to take it all in, but it is an impressive collection. It is truly unbelievable that one person could gather and organize so many collectables from lunch boxes and figurines to stuffed animals and glassware. Does not stand behind products! bought an expensive Disney painting...started peeling years later and they pushed me off to the manufacturer (with an email address) who will not respond...Do not waste your money with this vendor...buy from someone who will take care of issues when you spend a lot of money on a luxury... I drove by this place regularly for the majority of my life and always wanted to go, but for some reason I never did. One day, I was off from work and my then-boyfriend was also off, so we decided to check it out. The front building, where you buy your ticket, was impressive. The framed art made me stop in my tracks a number of times and I wished I could afford any of it. It's definitely on my to-do list to return and buy something for my home. It was snowing out so we weren't able to see most of the painted figures outside, but it's a fun photo-op if the weather is right. The museum itself is a hoarder's paradise. Walking up and down the aisles, we would shout out "I had one of those!" or "Look at that!!" like we were kids in a candy store. It was a major flashback to my childhood and forgotten toys. Supposedly the displays change from time to time as the collection grows and people lend/donate items to be displayed. We snuck in photos with a "life-sized" Incredible Hulk, Wall-E, and posed on a Simpson's couch (from the movie theater display). I wouldn't necessarily suggest coming here with small children, as the aisles are narrow and the desire to touch is high, but it's a must-see for anyone who was once a kid. read more

I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews; it's amazing! I went about a year ago, and it was a major highlight of my trip. The smaller entry building showcases items for sale: a lot of cells from Disney and other animation studios as well as a series of Dr. Seuss faux taxidermy (so hilarious). But the real highlight is the larger main building that houses the museum itself; it contains thousands and thousands of toys, collectibles and cartoon advertising from the 1800s to today. You name it and they've got it: pez dispensers, Little Orphan Annie, Star Trek, Star Wars, Gumby, Marvel, DC, lunch boxes, Disney, Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger, Popeye, Barbie, Dick Tracy, toys, toys and more toys.... games, accessories, figurines, and so many other items that I am exhausted just thinking about it. All items are apparently from a private collection that is still growing (yay!!) - it's truly a treasure trove of nostalgic pop culture memorabilia, some of which is so old I didn't even recognize it. Anyone who loves cartoons and comics would find this museum to be well worth a visit, despite it's weirdly out-of-the-way location - and if I'm ever in the area again, it will be high on my list of places to revisit. This place was absolutely amazing!! They have so many awesome toys going all the way back to the late 1800s. Lots of nostalgia from my childhood too. Any cartoon or tv show you can imagine. You can't beat it for $5 I am looking forward to going back already!! read more

How did I not know this existed until today?? So much fun and tons of childhood toys to see here! A trip down memory lane for any age - everything from Kiss bobble heads to tin lunch boxes. we were the only ones there and got a great tour from the super nice staff. I stopped by here on a Saturday and spent a 2 to 3 hours looking at both the paintings for sale and the artifacts. There are two buildings on the property, the art gallery and the other which is the actual museum itself. Before you get to walk around the museum building you have to go inside the art gallery and pay the admission and get a wristband and free pencil. The art gallery has a kitchen in it so I would imagine it was once someones house before the museum was built, the majority of the artwork is of Disney characters ranging in prices from $50.00 to 10,000.00 with and without frames. The museum is stuffed to the max with board games, lunchboxes, cups, dolls, 33 45 and 78 rpm records, sealed books pez candy dispensers, telephones, guitars and thousands of other cool shit that has to do with cartoons, tv show, movie, book, comic and of course cartoon characters. There are two floors of stuff to see in the museum. If you have nothing better to do on a Saturday (like I did) or any day they are open and like this kind of stuff you should stop by it is a museum that is worth visiting. read more

I visited this museum. My consumer experience with this business included being subjected to a long-winded blow hard who had no idea what he was talking about. It starts with an actual reading of the rules of the museum, followed by a long pointless story. I was only there to see the artifacts. I tried to browse the museum while the person was talking, but was deemed unacceptable. Frankly, I am too old to put up with this kind of abuse of customers. read more
