A co-worker recommended this place so I went to get a haircut on a Monday at lunch. I walk in and the place was busy but there were only two people ahead of me on the walk-in sign up sheet. My co-worker had described a similar situation and said he got in and out quick, fast, and in a hurry. An hour later I left with hair uncut. No one said hello when I entered. No one said goodbye when I left. No one acknowledged my existence at all. Absolutely horrible customer service. The only positive thing I can say about this experience was they were playing 80s music on the soundtrack. What an utter and complete waste of time. read more

My husband loves this barber shop! We moved to Missouri and whenever we come back to Ga to visit he always stops in for a haircut and coming from his wife he looks damn good after. Megan is amazing! She's very nice and always does a fantastic job. My husbands pet peev is hair left on him and she's the one person he's found that's been good at keeping it off. My son is 4 and also tags along with his dad for a hair cut every now and then and he absolutely loves it! It definitely can take time for walk ins. But it's worth the wait in my opinion. read more

I am really disappointed with the overall quality of this place at the moment. It has really dropped in the past year. Used to be a great place with a wonderful group of people...most of the good ones have gone from here lately and only the ones that seem to aspire to have 50 tattoos are left with zero personality and less customer service or skills. Tried going here today with an APPOINTMENT at 6, even showed up early at 5:40 p.m. and was skipped over by two walk-ins after an hour, got up and left and won't be coming back anymore. Used to be the best Barber shop and was always reliable and good. Recently in the last few times I've gone, the place has been busy with no urgency to get customers in and get a trim. They have no sense of time and I have spent at least 1 hour each time I come in here waiting. The staff can also be rather rude and it's just become annoying. I recommend finding a new barber due to the fact that this place doesn't treat customers with the best respect and the wait is always long, appointment or not. Man this place takes me back. I grew up going to the barber shop with my dad. Hot shaving cream with a straight razor, that's the real deal. From my experience it can be a bit of a wait but when you want the best you need to expect that. This isn't your neighborhood great clips. This is a place where the barber cares about what they do and wants you to leave happy. I had Danny today. He's a stand up guy who delivers a solid product. I've been going here since it opened. The owner used to cut my hair in Alpharetta. Now Bev takes care of me and has for years. She's truly a master barber. I went today and got my usual great treatment. However, I want to go to a barber shop not a beauty salon. It's not the same. Women getting their hair colored? Went there for years. In the beginning always had a good experience. Recently i made an appointment and walked in 3 minutes after scheduled time and the lady who i made an appointment with already took a walk in. I was told to either reschedule or write my name down. I look over and another stylist is sitting waiting for her appointment to show up. he comes in 15 minutes late and he's taken care of instantly. When i finally got my haircut it took like 10 minutes total. Absolutely no care. It was an okay haircut. She went to shave my neck and slapped on the cream. Instantly doing like 3-4 strokes on my neck with the razor and wiped the rest off. Never felt so unimportant and i will not go back. This place is okay if u just need one haircut on a random day. I've scheduled appointments twice, still waited 25mins. Requested a certain barber, never even able to sit in their chair. Been there 3 times and never once did what I asked them to do. This seems like a good place where you walk in but the quality is piss poor no matter who you get. Jordan cut my hair even better than what I asked!! Its such a relief to find someone you can trust and someone that can make a regular haircut awesome!! I lived in Canton several years ago and started going here regularly right after they opened. Immediately, I could tell that this was no normal barber. Not one time did I have a bad experience there. Now that I live in Woodstock, I usually go to the location on Sandy Plains. However, since I was in the area for errands, I thought I'd visit the old cutting ground (as it were). Hannah (if I remember correctly) took excellent care of me with a haircut and a shave. In fact, I've never had a better shaving experience than with her. I may just start going to this one again instead of the one that's closer to me. And now that they take reservations online, I can stop worrying about my wait times. You'll pay just a little more here than you would at some bargain barber, but you always know what you're going to get - and it will be good. read more

This place is amazing! I've been going for about 10 months and I always get my haircut by Simi. She NEVER messes up and always understands what I want when I try to explain it to her. And that's saying a lot because I have such a hard time explaining what I want. She's incredibly kind and she's probably the best barber there. Although I only make appointments with Simi, all the barbers are very welcoming and I can observe their long-standing relationships with their customers. I love this barber shop. I really do. Unfortunately, following my experience this weekend, I have to revise my review down by one star because of a somewhat bad experience. My son and I made appointments to get our hair cut on Saturday at 11:30. We walked in a little before that and my wife was greeted by a gentleman who got her name and that we had an appointment and instructed her not to put our names on the list as a result. We then sat down and waited for our names to be called. I figured that I should probably be called at 11:30 or shortly thereafter, so I waited patiently. Several people walked in after my son and I arrived which wasn't unusual. However, even though we had appointments at 11:30, they called at least two or three people from the walk-in list after 11:30, leaving my son and I waiting in the waiting room. I don't routinely schedule appointments for barber shops, but since I know they tend to be really busy, I figured this might actually be helpful. I don't go to salons either, but I am reasonably certain that this isn't the way things are supposed to be done. I can understand the concept that our appointments were probably with two specific people, but if that's the case, when we walked in, those people should have been informed that we were there and to hurry their current clients to completion so that we could be taken. Ultimately, after they tried to call the last person from the walk-in list (who wasn't there at the time), I commented that my son and I were waiting for our 11:30 appointments (still, since it was now 11:40), and yet several people had been called in front of us. They went ahead and took us back to two now-empty seats and got us the excellent haircuts we expected, but I really don't think it should have been necessary to insist that we should be served. I'm not sure if the problem was more to do with how they are handling appointments or if it was more related to something else, but they really need to find a better way to handle appointments vs. walk-ins. read more

UPDATE: My husband was offered a free visit for his bad experience. He took them up on the offer, and the service was spot on, fantastic. He has since been one additional time and again, the service excellent. Hes been very happy with the service. This is a nice barber shop with a late 1920s feel. The lady that cut my hair was friendly and paid attention to detail. The only quirky thing that caught my eye was the multiple signs that reminded people to keep kids quiet. I understand they want to maintain an adult atmosphere and that's cool, but men with children in tow should know to leave them with someone before going. read more

For a man looking for a man's man type of barbershop, it doesn't get any better than this. Classic look and feel, good conversation, crisp cuts. The barbers certainly know how to cut your hair without making look like you just got a hair cut. It's a little pricer than a Great Clips experience, but then again you get what you pay for. I'm off one weekday (Thursday) and called on Monday and made an appt at 1pm for a haircut & shave. My only cut there was with Jordan, so I made the appt when I called to request her. Upon arriving and telling the person at the counter I was there for my appointment, I was told I wasn't in the system? The lady tried to turn the computer screen toward me, like that was going to mean something?? All I was told was, "I'm Sorry" like my 12 year old grandkid says when he gets in trouble. Then on my way to the car, a nice man ran out and offered to cut my hair. I declined, but that was the ONLY pleasant experience.
