Very reasonable prices, and friendly people. $50 got him an oatmeal bath, full cut, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, nails trimmed, the works. I couldn't be more pleased! I will never go here again. When you walk in you are hit with the stench of animals - kind of like that smell in a pet store when they don't clean the hamster bedding often enough - but worse way worse. They have a candle burning to cover the smell. The candle laughs at the attempt. I was desperate to have my dog groomed and they had a good referral - or I would have walked out right then. They let your dog air dry for hours. They say it's as heat elements are dangerous - umm the heat boxes are dangerous. I haven't run across any reports from dogs getting burned or dying from hair dryers. I picture my poor little dog just sitting there in the cage wet and shivering and scared. I didn't know they made the dog sit there wet to air dry until after the fact. I never would have gone here if they had told me that over the phone. My dog stank like that room smelled when I got her home. I know now it's because she sat there wet just soaking up that smell. The groom job was awful. Uneven. Her nails were left long. They didn't give her a sanitary trim - I had to trim her myself when we got home. I hate to leave a bad review for a place I only went to once. However, I would never take my dog here again and I think people need to be forewarned about this place. I think the good reviews are from when this place had a different owner or groomer or something. read more

We feel so blessed to have found this excellent dog grooming salon. My dog is super nervous and was even sent home from Petsmart because they feared he would have a stroke. I'm so disappointed. Over the phone, I fell in love with Barkie Wow Wows. I had to take my pup Casper in to a kennel on short notice because I needed to run out of town. After a few reviews, I decided this was the place. When I called in, the staff person who answered the phone reassured me that Casper would be in great hands. When I took him in, the groomer on call was finishing up another sweet baby. I could tell he was a little restless, but most dogs are when they're getting groomed. Casper seemed at ease with the place, so I handed him over--tearfully. While I was away, I could call in and speak to him, and all seemed well. I even called and extended his stay and there seemed to be no problem. However, I got a phone call on the day he was originally scheduled for pickup asking how I wanted him cut. I assumed the message of him staying longer didn't reach the groomer and they bathed him too soon. At his booking, I requested a flea bath because I noticed a few before we left. When I did pick him up, I noticed a few fleas had multiplied to an infestation. The flea bath, which was promised to rid all adult fleas, was administered too early, and he had to have picked up more while in the kennel. I gave him another bath when he got home, but called the salon to see if they had forgotten to give him the flea treatment since there were so many. Instead of helping, the groomer who answered was a little rude and insensitive. She tried to tell me the difference in a flea treatment and bath, which is fine, but she didn't understand that as a pet owner, I already knew. I just wanted to confirm that he received the bath since it was an extra fee, and he was miserable with fleas when he got home. She finally offered a free bath, but I declined since he had already been through such a rough morning. Later in the week, I noticed Casper also had tapeworms: something he didn't leave the house with. His nails were also cut dangerously short, and he's been licking his paws in pain. I really hate to leave 1 stars, but my pup went through an awful lot that week. It seems that staffing is an issue since the original groomer that accepted Casper was fired before I returned to get him. I also came to pick him up at 8A, when they opened, but no one entered the building until a little after 9A. There's a lot going on here. I know there is some care what they do, but not enough to set my mind at ease leaving my bestie there again. I really did want to love this experience. I even left a tip on top of the $250 I paid for stay and grooming. read more

I took my American Bull here for the kennel and paid for him to stay for a week. During that week, his one year birthday came along and these people made his birthday a blast, bought him toys, bathed him, cut his nails, we sang to him, it was a great feeling to know my baby was well loved. The best part, I ran into personal issues where he had to stay longer but I was low on funds. These people were extremely understanding and welcomed him to stay as long as he needs to, discuss money later if at all. I would highly recommend any pet owner that needs to drop off their pet temporarily to this place, I'd give them 10 stars if I could! read more

This place is horrible, I took my dog there for his very first grooming. I come back a few hours later, they shaved him to the skin! He looked horrible! They said that he had a few mats in his hair, which he did not because I brush him daily! I was furious and not only that but they charged me 48$. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! I just boarded my dog, Cooper, here for about 5 days. I was in the middle of moving to Savannah on a military move and Cooper was stressed due to a long drive and all of the stresses of moving. I called ahead as Cooper can be a little difficult on his good days. The owner answered and she was very gracious and eased my mind about boarding him. When I dropped him off, one of the workers, Jimi, was sooo good with Cooper and told me since we would be in the area we could come check in on him. We did and were able to take him on a walk and play with him. Cooper is picky with people but has clearly taken to Jimi. Every time we've been, the staff and owners have been so kind and welcoming. They clearly all know and care about dogs. We have had trouble on previous moves finding a boarding kennel that we and our dog like, and it's been so mind easing to have found one so quickly. read more

I called many times couldn't get anyone to answer so I left a message. When I didn't get a call back after two days I went uo there it's close to my house so I wanted to go for convenience. Well they said open but doors were locked and no one was there that I could see. I heard many dogs barking! I finally got a call back from some man who didn't know prices or really anything! I just got a new puppy a poodle and I simply wanted his face shaved for the first visit. He couldn't give me a price. So he put me on hold called the owner to get a price. After a long hold he tells me 95 dollars. I said just for a puppy to get his face shaved nothing more. He put me on hold again then came back and said the lowest he could go is 65. Those prices were outrageous just a shave a puppy's face. I could see if it was bath and other things getting done nail bath Etc but this was simply a shaved face nothing more. On top of that he was snippy with me. So there's noway I would leave my baby at a place like this. read more

After going to 3 groomers on a Saturday to no avail, this was the oasis. Cstnip & Biscuits closed 30 mins early according to Googles hour post. There were 2 cars on site but barren at the at the door an no one answering phone. Tidy Dogs has just been CLOSED all week and no signage explaining nor voicemail. And the CASE Vet wanted proof of non-proven, often dangerous vaccination records just to clip my dog's nails. Ah, but Melissa of this business was a refreshing discovery. Firstly, OPEN. Points! Secondly a bright friendly shoppe (love doggy portrait banners), and a very adoring, animal person. We were in and out in 10 minutes and left feeling like my pet and I both got a new friend out of the deal. read more

My family and I went out of town and were unable to take our frenchie, it's was a 10 day trip so needless to say we were apprehensive to leave her for so long. The staff was very accommodating. I was able to call as often as I liked. Upon our return, I was told she had run out of food so they sent home some of their brand to mix with her regular food, as to not upset her stomach. Take it from someone who worked at Barkie Bow Wow for a grand total of three days...don't take your dog there. I'm going to run you through a list of things that I think everyone should know when considering BWW as their grooming salon. 1. The conditions inside the shop are inexcusable. The kennel your pup will be kept in is an old plastic crate with a metal front with a metal grate on the bottom with newspaper that may or may not get cleaned out that day. Crates for small dogs are stacked on top of larger crates (three high). There is nothing keeping the crates together and as such they are liable to topple over if a dog is too rowdy. 2. The cleaning agent used to occasionally disinfect these plastic kennels is called OdoBan. Generally speaking OdoBan is one of the less harmful chemicals used to clean kennels but when used as it is at Barkie Bow Wows you could end up with a very sick dog. Not to mention that there are OdoBan containers around the "shop" that are labeled 'bleach' in barely legible sharpie (faded). Mistakenly cleaning kennels with these bottles isn't far fetched. 3. The runs (large, indoor chainlink enclosures) for the 'loud doogs' are kept in the very back of the shop behind yet another closed door. Barbara boards non-aggressive dogs directly next to hyper-aggressive dogs, leaving the potential for your dog to be attacked. And how she promises your dog will be walked 2x/day? If your dog is smaller than 20lbs. it probably won't see outside until you come to pick it up as Barbara doesn't deem it necessary to take them out. 4. The owner (Barbara) does not require any vaccination records for groom/bath dogs. As such, if your dog happened to be bitten by another dog in the shop that had say...rabies...or I don't know...parvo...your dog could be infected. 5. Your "groomer", the only "groomer" at BWW takes no more than 15 minutes to groom your dog. I have never, ever, in my life seen cuts as choppy and messy as hers. The grooms she allows to walk out of the front door are fantastically terrible. Not to mention that she'll happily jack up your price depending on how "bad" your dog behaves. And all of those extra services your requested? Probably didn't get done. But did you pay for them? Definitely. Flea shampoo, deshedding solution, oatmeal shampoo, medicated shampoo? They had them in the bathing area but if they forgot to use them on your dog...guess what? You're still getting charged. You probably won't notice anyway. The long and short of it is that if you're looking for a cheap place to get a subpar groom, take your dog to Barkie Bow Wows. If you want a consistently good groom with the potential for a FULL refund if you aren't satisfied, take your dog to Petsmart. I absolutely abhor Petsmart as a corporation but I'll gladly advertise for them for free if it means that people don't go to BWW's. read more

We had a death in the family last week. We left our 6 month old puppy (Max) with a Barkie Bow Wow. They had great reviews and I called and checked on him daily. Of course they said he was barking a lot and may lose his voice. He was with them for 5 days. He was supposed to let out to play 2 times and had a buddy to play with; during the day. He's been home for 3 days now and his personality is changed. He paces back and forth all day. I'm worried they did something cruel to him. I'm postive that he was left in his cage all day and night. I wish I would have paid the extra money somewhere else. Now we have to take him to the vet on Friday to be checked out. Oh yea, they returned his blanket with pee on it smh read more

Sorry but I have to agree w/Jessica S. I also took my dog Paris there to have her nails clipped and the owner was no where to be found like she said she would be. I waited for about 20 mins, then let the asst attempt to trim her nails, which he was horrible with pets and horrible with trimming nails. I decided I would never go back there because of the lack of professionalism and the owner not caring enough to keep her appointment time like she promised. read more

DON"T DO IT!!!! This is not a true kennel, they have no outside area. If I could give no stars I would. I boarded my 2 dogs and it was horrible. First each dog doesn't get a bed and a toy. We brought our own beds and when they were returned they were full of another dogs urine. The guy who gave them back to me apologized. WOW. Also they were full of another dogs hair. There is no run, my dogs are pretty big so they were put in a 3 by 5 pen. But when I looked in the back most dogs where sleeping on the bare floor in what looked like make shift pens. The dogs only leave that small pen when they take them for a walk. They walk them and then feed them at 830am and 430pm, so when your dog eats its anywhere from 8 to 12 hrs before hes able to go to the bathroom outside of its sleeping area. I watched them walk the dogs the walk its less than 5 min. If you truly love your dog visit this place first, when you walk in you'll change your mind . We had no choice we were from out of town and called 5 other places and they were all booked. My wife cried when we left them there. read more
