When I went out of town for a week, I was seriously stressed about my kitties. Well, after a couple days Erica and her team completely put my mind at ease. I received pictures and videos of my girls, and they looked so happy! I could tell right off the bat that she cared about them and they liked her too. She is incredibly reasonably priced and payment options are very easy. I cannot recommend anyone else more highly! :)

She texted me updates during their walks and was always able to accommodate my ever changing schedule. In addition to walks, she also taught Pancake some basic obedience during their visits. One day, right after I adopted my pup, she snuck into a care package I'd put together for my deployed friends (read, boatloads of chocolate) while I was at work. Luckily, Erica dropped by for their daily walk and she immediately contacted me and even took her to the nearby vet to have her stomach evacuated before taking her home. I worked 45min away and Erica did not even hesitate to offer to take her to the vet. I used Blissful Buddha for a few weeks before I found Erica and while I thought they were professional and courteous, I felt it was a bit more of a corporate vibe and they rarely sent the same walker twice. With Erica, she will treat your pup like her own and you as a friend. She also was willing to speak with my new landlord about my dog to allay their concerns about having an "aggressive" dog in their rental and thankfully, they were willing to take her word. Highly recommend!

I was new to the area and needed someone to walk my dog during the day. I treat my dog like a baby (we don't have children) and am a little neurotic leaving her. I am SOOO happy I found Stefanie. She is AWESOME. I could text her the night before and tell her I needed her the next day and she was always so accommodating. I felt 100% comfortable giving her a key and letting her walk my 8 week old (now 8 month old) puppy. She is so caring and is not scared to text you at work if something is wrong. My puppy is an escape artist and managed to climb over the gate we had in place. Stefanie did not hesitate to text me at work and tell me that the dog met her at the door and Stefanie wanted to know what she should do to make sure my dog was safe before she left. I love trustworthy people. She would even bring the mail and any packages in for me... in addition to cleaning any puppy surprises the dog had left during the day. She really does treat your dog as her own. Long story short, I recently moved out of the area and am so scared I won't find someone as amazing as Stefanie. I really cannot say enough good things about her. I never had to worry when I worked 12 hour shifts with a puppy at home knowing she would be available whenever and wherever to help me out. She even texts me 2 months after I moved to see how my dog is doing now. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business! Thank you for everything, Stefanie! We miss you!

    Barks

The Good - Our dog seems to enjoy going to Barks and always comes back 100% exhausted (assumingly…read morebecause he has so much fun). We have had generally positive interactions with the staff and the facility seems fairly nice from what we can see. The cage-less atmosphere is a big plus for us. The Bad- You're almost guaranteed to have to pay additional fees for boarding (for those with traditional work or vacation trip schedules). For boarding you can't do a morning check-in or an afternoon/evening check-out without paying an extra $15 fee for each on top of the $50 per night fee. You can't pick your dog up on Sundays at all unless you make pre-arrangements and pay another $15 fee. The Ugly- We felt pretty scammed on our last boarding. We dropped him off Friday for a 1-night stay and were told we could pick him up anytime before 7pm the next day (the front desk girl even said "Saturday? Anytime before 7"). But we received a call at 6:15pm the next day asking when we were coming to pick up our dog because they were closing (they told us the girl at the front desk made a mistake and they don't stay open until 7pm on Saturdays). We said we were 15 minutes away, our GPS said we would be there at 6:30pm. They said they were sorry about the mistake, but that was too long to wait and we would have to pick him up the next morning. We weren't thrilled, but mistakes happen, ok. First thing the next morning we went to pick them up and the front desk girl (the one who had said 7pm) was very apologetic, but then CHARGED us both for the 2nd night we didn't want AND a Sunday pickup fee. Blown away, I asked "are you really charging us for the 2nd night?". She called what I assume was the manager and they took off the Sunday pickup fee but still charged us the extra $50 for the extra night. Might be a little over-dramatic, but it really felt like they held our doggo hostage and then demanded ransom to get him back. We paid it, but we really lost our trust in Barks with this. We'll probably try to avoid Barks in the future if we can. The ???- every time we pick our pup up from boarding, he drinks a comical amount of water. It's probably because he's too busy running around with the other dogs to drink, but we do hope they have water bowls out for the dogs at all times.

She connected with our dog, Andi, immediately. She taught Andi and us the proper way to train. We received weekly tips on how to practice what we all learned, and the training process moved at an appropriate pace for the development of our dog. When we hit a little snag in leash training, Lauren came up with several ideas to differentiate the way that we trained Andi on a leash. While she told us that these new ideas would not be "magic," one solution clicked instantly with Andi and she was a new dog on a leash. We now have a dog that listens, is able to be outside on and off leash, and is a wonderful member of our family. Thanks Lauren for all of your help with Andi!
