We took our cat to them on Thursday for some swollen spots on her belly and to get the clinical grade of Flea meds for the season. They gave us meds for the inflammation and we got fleas meds that go down her back. We gave her her meds as recommended and by Monday she became listless and hardly wanted to move. We booked her a follow up for the very next day -Tuesday, and on that day they did bloodwork and informed my M.I.L that her blood was "funny", but just sent her home telling us to continue the meds from the visit before and try to get her to eat some tuna water and give water bc at this point she had also stopped eating. The next morning when we get ready for work she was moving even less and we decided to "trust the Dr" and just continue to give her meds and water, We get a call around 4:30pm from my M.I.L saying the thinks our cat is about to pass away that she was hardly breathing, we rush home and on the way I call the Vet to let them know what's going on and only talked to the receptionist who relayed what I said to the Vet and AT THAT POINT it suggested we take her to Morristown for a blood transfusion with a different Vet. She didnt even make the trip. She passed away suffocating to death in my arms. Turns out she had an infection in her bloodstream that was killing her red blood cells and she wasn't getting enough oxygen thru her system....ALL WHICH WAS IN THE BLOODWORK THEY PERFORMED THE DAY BEFORE (but we didnt know how to read the test results and just trusted what the Vet told us-(WE WILL NEVER BE THIS NAIVE AGAIN), they sent her home instead of telling us at that time how life threatening and critical her condition was- it was not treatable at home and she should have been taken for the blood transfusion and been put in a oxygen tent the day before, bc of how low her oxygen levels were and how infected her blood was, yet they sent us home telling us to feed and water her when she couldn't even breath. All of our Fur Babies was being treated at this clinic, we will not take them back to them ever again, and we should have known better from other times we had taken in our other babies and they were given meds and the problem never cleared up- after multiple visits my M.I.L's cat lips is still swollen, another of her cat's still has digestive issues and they cant tell us what's even going on with either of them. Save yourself heartbreak and money and take your Babies to a Vet that cares and knows how to do their job. We made a truly terrible mistake trusting them with her care and we have paid dearly for it. We will miss her forever and every day without her is a constant reminder never to trust the "professionals" and to question and investigate everything.

My buddy had not had his nails clipped in years and he always freaked out when we tried. Nervously, I took him to Pawz ; 10 minutes later, the job was done with actually NO trauma, no reactions, and excellent attitude. Ok, it might not be a scientific study, but it sure is true here. We are excited to host thanksgiving dinner in our TN home, however, we are going to be arriving the night before . The thought of flying across the country with our dog and my mom, having a 2.5 hour drive from Nashville to Knoxville AND then doing all the shopping for the meal, the food prep ect....just really sounded like ALOT! I discussed my idea for a plan with Roy about 2 weeks in advance. I placed an online pick up order for groceries and the Sunday before Thanksgiving Roy picked up the order , drove it 45 min away to our home , put the perishables in the fridge and arranged the pantry items on the counter. It feels so good to know we are going to arrive with that big task already taken care of. Roy and I chatted on the phone as well as text and through those communication I felt really good about him being a nice, intelligent and dependable guy. My dog can't play with other dogs so I liked that he got to do something fun each day. One time I picked him up and he was covered in pee - which tells me they were not giving him enough chances to go to the bathroom. Not to mention, he was supposed to receive an exit bath which clearly didn't happen. I had to throw out everything and immediately come home and bathe him. They also forgot to send home his medication. I spoke with the owner, he apologized and offered a free exit bath next time. Since they still had his meds I decided to give it one more chance. I dropped him off for boarding and when I went to pick him up no one was at the front desk so I waited. I could hear someone screaming in the back and loud banging noises. Finally she came up to the front desk sweating and looking disgruntled (like she was just yelling at dogs). She saw my face of shock and she put on a smile and was overly nice and complimenting me. She went to go get my dog and when she was in the back she AGAIN started yelling and banging on something telling the dogs to "shut up!!!" I got my dog and left asap. She is not the type of person you want to leave your dog around - her anger towards them was scary. Dogs bark - that's just how it goes. There was nothing to make me believe the dogs were doing anything wrong other than barking because she was primarily yelling at them to shut up and be quiet (as if that would help). DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOGS HERE! You have no idea how they are being treated and if she would do that knowing someone was standing right on the other side of the door - what would she do when no one is watching?
