We had a wonderful experience here! Danielle and Bryan accommodated us so generously. My son and his now wife were supposed to be married June, and due to a medical condition they wanted to get married sooner. Barn 1888 normally doesn't have winter weddings here but they accommodated them so it could happen. Bryan and Danielle were so kind and helpful to get the place ready. They allowed us to come in and look at how we could decorate before the day of since we were changing seasons. This place is gorgeous and already decorated perfectly, so we didn't need much for decorations to make it beautiful. Many of the guests talked about how nice it was and the ambiance was wonderful. The bridal party was large and the bridal suite to get ready in was great, it fit all of us. The room for the guys is a little snug, but guys don't really need much to get ready so that is fine. They have an amazing room of decorations so you already have a great start on ideas. You may use what you want of theirs or bring your own. Bryan and Danielle are there if you need help but they aren't hovering over you. If I could give 10 stars I would. They are very easy going here and willing to work with any and all questions you have. During the reception they were still readily available for any questions or help we needed. Their kindness and helpful attitude did not go unnoticed! Beautiful venue and the hosts are very helpful and accommodating during the lead up to the event After the event started that's where things changed. We had 130 guests and that made our event split between dinner upstairs and food / bar / dancing downstairs. While we knew this was the case before the big day, we didn't realize that meant when many of the guests moved downstairs to socialize and dance the event staff would be flipping the dining room for their next guests. This lead to concern for our belongings and decorations we had upstairs so many of us had to stop enjoying the event to go gather everything and pack it up in our vehicles. This evacuation of items cascaded into guests leaving thinking the event over to even more unoccupied areas being taken down and packed away. Our event was supposed to last till 11pm and then cleanup by midnight. Instead we had less than 30 guests left by 10:30 and the last of us left at 11:15. It was a really special day and by no means was it ruined for us, but many of our guests were not able to enjoy the entire time as we had hoped. read more

We came here for my cousin's wedding. We weren't really sure what to expect. The invitation said cocktail attire so that's what I wore. My shoes were not appropriate for an outdoor wedding, but I didn't realize it was outdoors. Lots of women struggled with that. It is indeed a farm so be prepared for some farm smells. It's not a very big venue but it's very nice! They had the food set up on the main floor but you have to go up quite a few steps to get to the second level to eat. This is also an issue for anyone with disabilities. The bar was also on the main level. The food was quite good. We had a very nice time and I would recommend this place. Just keep those few things in mind. I would also recommend sun dress and sandals or business casual attire. read more
