I was so happy to have them reopen and understand how to keep their staff and customers safe. They have an employee at the door to limit the numbers of customers so you might have to wait a short time and it clearly said masks are required. Because of the limits on customers, I didn't spend as much time as I normally do. Most of the shelves have been rearranged and moved so social distancing is easier. But the staff is just as helpful but it would be nice to have store map posted around the store. I was able to find a couple of books and another book bag. I also got a cupcake and a pizza pretzel to go. I left after 30 minutes to let others have a chance to come in without a long wait. I did run into another customer who wasn't wearing a mask (If you can't read a simple sign why are you in a book store). She left quickly once I stood up for the staff and the rest of us. If you care so little for other human beings that you won't wear a simple mask, it is so easy for the rest of us to know, you can't hide who you really are any more. See employees can't stand up to bad patrons so it has to be done by the customers to do that.

Even though I usually have to order a book, the time it takes for them to get my merch is minimal. I encourage all of my friends to at least visit 1 bookstore a month.

Paper books are something of a novelty now a days. There are still people like me who like the weight and feel of a book. The whole primitive turning of the page and YES I do enjoy the smell of a printed book. We're here to hunt down a children's book to gift a dear friend of mine for her baby shower. So we were at the kids spot checking out books. I felt as if associates here are a bit dodgy. None of the "Hello! Welcome to such and such,, can I help you find something in particular today?" It's all good though since, we did know how to navigate around books and such. I just felt as if the person working the section wasn't very helpful. Although I did see her helping another lady, about an hour after we've already been going through the books. Is it us?? Is it because were people of color?? I highly doubt it, but things like that do go through my mind. Oh well right. If we never return, it would just be one less customer they have to help out. I'm just making their jobs easier right? Anyways, we get what we came for. We checked out and we were on our merry way. It's just too bad they're the only decent book store around. Or I would probably go to a different location IF I had the choice. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

Great selection of books, but a really noisy bookstore. I tried going there to read a book, too many kids and loud noises.

Always helpful staff, great selection, good discount racks (my favorite!) and the cafe area is not too small.

The store is arranged for easy perusal. I found all my favs jazz, soul, vocal female, vocal male and many more. I didn't have much time but I could have looked for hours. I will have to stop back. There were albums for every part of my want lists. Fairly priced with a few bargains. I didn't have time to look through the $2, $5 bins but there were plenty. A great collection of albums for sure.

But cheap doesn't always necessarily mean good - I could always shop for "cheap" at the Walmart bargain bin. What the RG brings to the table is quality records for a price that can't be beat. I was having a conversation about the graveyard with a friend of mine who's really into Jazz; he only has a few places he likes, basically because so few places carry quality Jazz these days. You know how picky those old fans can get. He took me here first. I'm not a Jazz hipster like him, but I do like records - and oh, they have a ton. I snagged quite a bit for very little - some records were as Misi said, literally $1. Even the new releases were inexpensive. I'm accustomed to paying over $20 per record sometimes for that "audiophile grade vinyl" junk. That doesn't seem to happen here unless its rare. So it didn't break the bank. It seems like they have a good rotation of stock going. I can see myself easily coming back at least once a week and not looking at the same old junk over and over again. It's like the thrift shop of records!

Found Sound has that wonderful mix of just about everything, and their prices are actually more than reasonable. The difference here however is the crew. So many places have staff that vacillate between casual indifference to active dislike. Found Sound has a team that genuinely cares about your experience, and are actually happy to talk to you. I recently was perusing their soundtrack selection and found a copy I of an album I wanted. I noticed what I thought were scratches on one side, and asked the team member about it. He immediately confirmed they were light scratches and marked the price down accordingly. I can't imagine every place would be honest in this way. About the only negative of shopping here are the narrow pathways, but honestly it just means they've got more stuff for you to look at when you're there. I'm so glad I stopped in, you can bet I'll be back!
