Like any other Barnes and Noble they have a wide variety of books and magazines. I've always found the books that I have been looking for. Their cafe is also a nice place to go and study. It can be hard to find a table near outlets though. read more

Geez, no one has reviewed the principal bookstore in B/CS. A city this size should have a large bookstore. So avail yourself of this resource. I sometimes spend 3 hours here, browsing every interest from cityscape coffee table books to mathematics, physics & engineering; from literature & poetry to computing; from history, politics & sociology to car magazines. This clearly, can get me into trouble. New books can get pricey, especially if you're interests are wide-ranging and venture into the technical. I favor history & social critique here, because of cost, and the dense books I'm already reading. Now although Barnes & Noble locations in Austin and Houston are much larger than this store, I think this store still merits 3.5 stars, and in the spirit of encouraging more than just roadhouse bars, chicken wings & Tex-Mex joints, I'll round up to 4. read more

I love going here! It's nice and peaceful and you can spend plenty of time browsing books. I adore the chocolate cheesecake from the Starbucks and there's always a really nice girl working there. The floor workers are nice and helpful- and won't harass you about your purchases or the books your reading. Many people go to the Starbucks to study or for tutoring. I also like going here with my friends to look at books and hang out. read more

I'm a fan of Barnes and Noble everywhere--- except for this location. I may be 15, but when I went to check out, I get horrible snickers from the employees. One time they were like "Do you have a Barnes and Noble card?" and then I started to answer but was interrupted with "of course not! Look at you!" Real assholes.... read more

Great book store but this store's restroom looked like an out house! Every toilet clogged, plumbing pipes dismantled, and no toilet seat covers! Shame on them! read more

Awesome place for kids and adults, readers and coffee drinkers. I went for the first time with my 1y.o. and she had a blast. Kids section is large, shiny, and everything is smartly wrapped in tight plastic to limit chewing. Coffee shop features a nerdy-looking barista, and attractive desserts. The rest of the store looks pretty good too - lots of books, most of them accessible. Large selection of magazines, a sticker that wi-fi is available. The prices... oh, this place isn't cheap. In fact, it is seriously expensive. But hey, the atmosphere is great, and they've got to pay rent. This place is worth supporting. read more

Great selection of books and you can always hit up the bargain section and discover a new book or author for cheap. I love the fact that they also have a Starbucks inside. It is great to grab a quick drink or snack. The employees have always been helpful and nice. I do wish they had more people at the help desk to find a book, because sometimes it can take a while to get help with only one employee running it. read more

Great bookstore, awful Starbucks Cafe. The young man acted like he hated his job (and me!) and the Frappuccino was tasteless and watery. I tried to use a gift card and he pointed out they weren't a "real" Starbucks. He's right--they're not. Buy your books and magazines here (great selection), but skip the cafe. read more

Money is walking out the door at this location and it is due to their lack of staff and service. Stood in line to find out if an authors book was in the store and waited 10 minutes, four people behind me left after getting irritated waiting. I was going to purchase over $300 of books. They need a computer up front and next to the service desk so that customers can check for books on their own. Not wait for one associate who was with the same customer for over 20 minutes. I know this because the Starbucks counter was another wait with only one person working!! Duh, that's how you drive money away B&N read more

Barnes & Noble seems to have been overtaken by the "adult coloring book" virus. They've got coffee and lots of books. Sometimes it's nice to just browse a quiet book store. This is one of them. read more

Here you'll find countless free-loading book- & magazine-readers sipping their lattes without a care in the world. It's a very good bookstore, has books that cover just about any topic. New books are expensive, but some new hardcovers (Palin, Paulson, etc) are reduced upon reaching the shelf. Still expensive. You could get lost in the wide array of eclectic magazines (hobbies & politics). Some reduced books are comparable to Amazon. But, you still pay sales tax. Go here if you need your book immediately. read more

When I am not writing, chances are I am reading. As a traveling writer, I find no better way of refreshing my mind then with a good helping of prose. In every city, I scout out the closest Barnes and Noble. It was a pleasant surprise to find one in B/CS during a recent excursion. True, this location is smaller in comparison to others, but still held me in its grip for more than a few hours - and took hold of a portion of my wallet as well. Such an amazing bookstore! All of the books that I want are always there. I could browse for hours and get a million books if I had 10 million dollars. The price is the problem. Goodness, it's expensive. Sometimes I'll see it and then buy it later on Amazon. Thankfully, there's an educator's discount. That means if you're a teacher, you get 20% off! Awesome, right? read more
