The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the buyback program. I brought in 12 books that were new or in like-new condition (no damage, no markings and some hadn't even been read) and was offered just $0.50 per book, totaling $7 for all 12. This included three complete series and several standalone titles. Out of curiosity, I checked their shelves and saw some of the same books priced between $8-$15 each. Overall, it's a great place to shop for books, but I wouldn't recommend selling here if you're hoping to get fair value especially if your books are in excellent condition.

We initially went in to try and find the viral dumplings (iykyk) and unfortunately they were nowhere to be found but it still gave us the chance to look around. They really do have everything here! Lots of fun snacks, household items, decor, toys, games, and even clothing which I was surprised about. This will definitely be my go to spot to hit up for future stocking stuffers and small gifts for sure. We didn't buy anything this go around because nothing really jumped out at me, but I'm glad that I finally got the chance to check it out and see what it's all about. They have an adequate supply of art products but I wish they went deeper on watercolor merchandising, and especially on watercolor paper and journals. The staff is very friendly and helpful . It's easy to access, enough customer parking, everybody has been friendly, I've always found what I needed, and the shelves are always stocked. Some previous posters mentioned they were mislead on some sale items. I can't say I've had that experience at all and I've been here a lot. I'm not sure if this luck or because I read the sale and fine print before I make a purchase. ‍ My only criticism here is that they really need to improve the lines at check out. Sometimes they'll have only two cash registers open and the lines get extremely long because of it.

But, I used to LOVE hobby lobby! They used to have pretty good sale prices, at least. I think they're still an ok deal for some items, but not craft items, or at least the majority of craft items, anymore. Granted, there are some things you can ONLY find at hobby lobby, or find them there for that cheap. But overall, since the price increases, its simply not worth it for what you get. And they do have MANY overpriced items as well. But most of the discount items are home good items, which are depressing. And I will NOT shop at Michaels... and I don't think I'm legally allowed to publicly say why. But trust me. Maybe shop locally and support good local businesses and reuse stores instead. I personally think its worth it . Though not all local shops are run by good people, just something to keep in mind as well. Overall, I will still shop here. But only on sale, and for things that are unique and I can't find literally anywhere else. Or if I want a girls day out and can afford to, and feel like, "splurging". I will say, customer service is always great here, at least at the puyallup one. So that makes it worth it as well, if you don't really care about the money, and enjoy spending here. I really like their large touch screen to check their inventory on singles especially for Lorcana as not many stores have singles and it's much easier to find that digging through a binder or box. However, since lots of people use it since it is the only one, there can be a wait. We have bought from them several times and never had a bad experience. The staff here are friendly and informative. The space is organized and well kept, as well as a handful of regulars or TCG players at tables playing. They keep prices pretty fair even on some rarer cards and it's nice to support local stores rather than dealing with the hassle of online card shopping. They also have better stock than other card shops as my boyfriend was looking for specific TCGs and no one else had them until we stopped by here!

This is a nice game store with a ton of board games, card games, tabletop accessories, and other various geek and gaming wares. They also feature several TVs with gaming systems that I believe you rent by the hour. The store is clean and well organized and the staff is attentive. They are however, not at all friendly or generally welcoming. Additionally, there are no prices posted on any products which is a strange practice. With that said, they do offer a loyalty program that earns points towards free goodies or "chair time" with the video games. They also feature a 24/7 private access system which I am not really familiar with, but is widely advertised in the shop. The shop gets kudos for being clean and in a nice location! Pricing would be nice though and the gents behind the counter are never anything close to welcoming or friendly.

So I was glad I was able to check out this new store that opened up in the Tacoma Mall. There are lots of Asian, specifically Chinese brands of toys like Skullpanda and Dimoo but there are also some American characters here as well. Over all I was not too familiar with most of the characters, brands or merchandise however. I come I suppose from a different generation of toys with a heavy preference towards action figures which the merchandise isn't quite that as some of it comes across to me as frail or delicate so I imagine it is intended for display purposes only and perhaps even keep it still in the box. It's still a really cool store and there is all sorts of merch options to absorb despite getting the realization that I may have been "aged out" on some of this stuff by not knowing all of the references, books or origins of where some of this stuff is from. But despite that it's a cool place to go to check out what they have.

The warehouse is open to the public for 50% off all books and select books are only $1 or $3. Educators can sign up online to get a Fast Pass and receive a discount. They have a huge selection of non-fiction, fiction, award-winning, children's, YA, reference, graphic novels, etc. It's a great way to stock up on summer reading and classroom books. The books were organized by grade but the warehouse itself was not in any particular order. I would walk down an aisle thinking it had all the K-3 books but then come across YA mystery novels at the end of the aisle. It was confusing and took a lot of effort to find the rest of the K-3 books. They also have a section in the front corner where you can fill a box of any of those books for $24. The selection here is not as good and a lot of patrons misinterpreted the deal with so many advertisements posted around the warehouse but only applicable to a small selection. Don't forget to use your scholastic points to purchase! Overall, the sale was great, if you're looking for new and recent books. Otherwise, I would still stick to Goodwill or garage sales for collecting items to build your classroom library. I mean... I spent way too much time and money here.
