When you have credit from bringing books in, you are able to use half the credit and pay for the other half in cash. For example, if your book if $5, you will be able to use $2.50 in credit and you'd pay for the rest with cash. Makes sense, you have to make money somehow! I haven't had a case yet where they haven't been able to order in a book I've wanted. Support a local business! The people are friendly, the shop is cute, they have staff-recommended items on each shelf, and very LGBTQ+ friendly and supportive. Their email newsletter has info on all of their book clubs (of which there are many) - eventually I will participate in one, just haven't had a chance to yet! There are several monthly book clubs for a good variety of different genres. Caboose (their children's book shop right next door) also has a ton of programming for kids and families!

We also had a really nice conversation with an author who was set up just outside the shop in the mall promoting his books. Super friendly guy, and it added a fun personal touch to the visit.
