Managed to walk out this trip at only $1100 which is amazing as they had some excellent things which had been marked down. The people here are super amazing people and ever so helpful. Great place to walk around!! I definitely would get lost without my husband. But for being the biggest Christmas store in the nation, their ornaments were disappointing. We wanted to find a good Michigan ornament but the best one was crazy expensive ($40)!! And all the other ones were so plain or had glitter (I hate glitter. It gets everywhere and sticks everywhere). If you're in the area, this place is a must! It is so large, that they have separate entrances labeled North, South, East and West entrances. They even have a person to greet you at an information stand when you first walk in, offering you a map (!) and informing you to follow the sticker stars on the floor for the restroom. The store is very well organized with like things in certain sections like trees and wreaths, lights, personalized ornaments... etc. And for the personalized ornaments they have their own check out area to get them done right there. They also offer special check out areas to have your items shipped just in case you're like me and flew on a plane and have no way to get all your items in your suitcase...or maybe you want to send your items as a gift to someone. The business is run by a Christian family so many things are centered around Jesus but there are as many secular items as well even Halloween and Easter items. Christmas music plays to get you into the spirit and there's even a chapel outside which sadly due to time constraints, I didn't get to see. If you wanted to see Santa's workshop this is as close as you will get. I was truly amazed at how they found so many wonderful ladies to sew and personalize all the stockings and ornaments. It was amazing to see them at work and how nice they are! If you are looking for a special ornament then you have come to the right place! We visited just after Christmas so they still had all the lights up as you enter the parking lot. Inside is huge with different sections. We spent about an hour strolling around. They do have a cafe but it was closed when we were there. They have everything; ornaments and decorations for every theme imaginable, plus sections for Halloween, Easter, and more. We especially loved all the Jim Shore figurines and the adorable miniature displays like Charlie Brown and Nightmare Before Christmas. It's such a fun place to wander around, and every corner has something new to check out. If you really want to take things up a notch, I highly recommend booking the 8pm Golden Ticket Trolley tour. Riding around the Bronner's property at night to see the insane amount of Christmas lights is magical, they go all out! It's beautifully decorated and you could spend hours in here looking through everything, I'd highly recommend going during the off season (basically anytime that isn't around Christmas) because otherwise it's impossible to actually look at anything or enjoy walking through. I personally feel they should have a cap at how many people they allow inside at one time.. it's too much and quiet honestly a safety concern if there was ever any kind of emergency or fire etc. if there was a cap at the amount per entry in one set time then you'd actually be able to enjoy browsing and not feel like ants walking in an ant farm. read more

What can I say that hasn't been said before about Bronner's? No matter what your religious affiliation or lack of, this place will transport you into a wonderland. Every type of ornament you can imagine, from almost anywhere in the world, can be found here. Free personalization for oodles of them as well. New house, pet, baby, marriage, job, or vacation? Check. Ethnic, cultural, hobby, fav food, military branch, or religious? Check. Glass, resin, plastic, lace, or fabric material? Check. If they don't have it, no one does. Then there are the Department 56 set ups! Seeing those can be worth the trip. Need stockings? Lights? Tree topper? A tree? Yup! Giant corporate style decor? Check again. Steins, edible treats, nativities? They have those too. Hungry, this place has a little cafeteria on site as well. Wear comfy shoes and prepare to spend at least 2 hours here, probably more. If you have little ones, get a map and prioritize. Plenty of nice clean bathrooms, a huge plus. A bazillion checkouts on both ends of the place, just try to remember which end you entered from. If you want to avoid the crowds, come when they open, or between Jan-Mar, pretty quiet then. Otherwise, it is crazy in there, but still fun. The only downside is the cost of most of the ornaments. While there is a sale/clearance area, two actually, and some clearance mixed into the regular priced items, the really nice ornaments are spendy, like $25+. I have passed on a lot of perfect ones because I couldn't justify the price to my own pocketbook. But if you have it to spend, knock yourself out. Despite the cost, we stop almost every time we are in Frankenmuth. My hubby is of German descent and we actually lived in Frankenmuth for a bit, years ago, so we're sentimental about it. If you are looking to take a family pic for Christmas cards, this is the place. If you've never been, it is worth the trip. Normally we really enjoy our Bronner's visits, however, I think due to the time of year that we went it altered our normal experience. During the holidays, Bronner's is beyond PACKED to the point where we were having difficulties looking at ornaments, let alone moving around the store. We had to leave earlier than we expected due to the volume of people that were there. I noticed that there are multiple placements for products: for example there are certain ornaments in say, Section 10A... but you'll see the same ones over in Section 10F. The pre-lit trees are beautiful! I liked the unique lighted displays (they look 3 dimensional). You could spend hours here for sure... and even get a bite at their cafe/snack shop. Back again for our annual visit to our favorite place during the holidays. It's become our tradition to come here every year around Christmas that we can pick out our ornament of the year. Why can't I give this place 10 stars!!?? I was visiting from out of state and had seen this place on a tiktok. I LOVE Christmas and just knew I had to stop in! 2.5 hours later, I was glad I stopped!! There's TONS of parking and they just redid their parking lot! When you first walk in you will be blown away by all the lights, decor, Christmas music and joy!! It was May and I was transported to a fabulous December day! I don't want to spoil to much but there is so much to see! There is an area where they show an older film about how the place got started. It was an interesting 20 minutes. I also recommend dropping into the snack place and grabbing a cookie! It tasted just like my grandma made! Simple but tasty! There are soooo many ornaments! I was a bit disappointed to see that the paramedic ornaments were not with the other first responders... they go hand in hand with fire and police. I'd also love to see more paramedic ornaments! This place is massive! No wonder they have maps available to navigate this behemoth of a store. Not only do they have ornaments, they sell xmas trees, lights, Santa suits, all sorts of figurines, nativity scenes, gnomes, and stockings. There is even a concessions area to have light refreshments and a program theater showing videos of Bronner's history and a sort of figurine museum from around the world. They also offer personalization on ornaments and stockings and you can have things shipped. The ornaments price range roughly $10 average to $40 higher end. There are some unique glass pieces and plenty of themed ones like food, profession, dog breed, beach, etc. Outside of the building, 222 steps from the south entrance is a replica of an Austria chapel that you can enter to learn about the history of the carol "Silent Night."
