Going there gave me a panic attack. i was normally shopping, then went into the corner of the store to tie my shoe since i didn't want to get into anyone's way. Then a worker showed up, that's fine. normal, right? no. my shoelace kept getting messed up so i went in the corner every time. she was there-- every. time. literally every single time. i asked her if there was a problem after seeing her 6 time, and she said "nope, just cleaning up my store." odd. at this point i didn't wanna be in the store, so i went to go walk out and saw some other workers. i told them about my experience and what happened, and the 'worker' turned out to be their boss. they said they would talk to her. those workers at the front of the store are angels. and yes, i can see how going into the corner of a store 6 times as a teenager can be a little suspicious but her watching me made me anxious, which might've made me look more suspicious. just know, if your a teen wandering around this store, you might get watched. those 2 workers were angels though!! they valued my concern and i saw them talking to her after i walked out. read more

It's a little more expensive than the usual dollar store for a very good reason, the items Five Below sells is generally much better quality. I deducted one store because the store has self serve checkout, to be fair a very nice employee helped my with my checkout because I'm a technologically challenged dinosaur. Five Below sells Series 8 exercise equipment for a fair price, I bought 5 pound dumbbells for $5.00 a piece. Other stores are selling them for $20.00 a piece. Once they're back in stock I will be buying a pair of 10 dumbbells too and look for other great deals. I noticed they sell various type of charging cables which look like decent quality for a decent price, other stores sell similar cables for outrageous prices. read more

When everything is $5 or below, what's not to love? While the GF and I were waiting in line to purchase our gift wrap, we heard a lady say that she spent a few hundred at this store. Most likely an exaggeration, I still wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. In addition to gift wrap, they have a bevy of options for gifts including toys, books, and more. It's the perfect way to pad the Xmas gifts during the holiday season - certainly in quantity, though in many ways, not in quality. Cashiers were friendly and the store was laid out in a way that clearly appeals to the mass consumer in all of us. read more

having been in there multiple times I went in today to get my favorite bulk candy which was not on the shelf. when an employee was asked. they acted like they didn't have the time nor cared about looking in her cart that was blocking the isle. Went to Five Below Wed. It always seems there is one person working this place ( the time I was in there, I didn't see anyone on the floor! ) went to get a phone cord, brought 2 cords up, wasn't sure which would work. Busy as she was AND poor girl having no voice because of not feeling well, she went BEYOND her duties! She found an adapter, opened the pgk w/ the phone card and check to make sure it fit my phone!
