The outboard was only a 50 however, but with only 2 adults and 2 children on board it wasn't terribly underpowered. Pricing was competitive for the area. The marina was a bit tight but nothing I haven't seen before. There is very little traffic around their cove which makes for a quick departure and docking. I like that it's at the end of the lake which gives you an opportunity to do a full stretch without a lot of backtracking. The store was fully stocked with bait and tackle. This was one of the best boat rental experiences I've had in years and I would absolutely use them again.

I like to go for the fishing boat with motor because I don't want to paddle or pay too much but there are different options depending on what your doing. I would have preferred to make a reservation but the rentals are on first come, first serve basis so make sure you get there early. I wasn't sure how long I wanted the boat for so they let me book 2 hours and then settle up when I got back. I was a little nervous because the boat didn't tell me how deep the water was beneath me, but we didn't get stuck so it's all good. I was happy I brought my radio. I did get lost a little but was able to pull up a map on my phone. They have a lot of fishing equipment for you to buy as well. I had to take a "safety course" to be able to rent the boat but it didn't take long and wasn't a big deal. They didn't even give me a hard time about crashing into the wall on my way out. The steering took a little to get used to, especially in reverse. The first time I was here, I dropped the anchor in the water but it wasn't tied to the boat so it just dropped to the bottom.

Full disclosure: I quit mid-course (level 4 of 5 - "Red") and it was embarrassing to hold up the…read moregroup of college girls behind us while one of the guides had to scurry up to my platform so he could safely bring me back down to terra firma. (On Father's Day, no less. When I was hoping I could keep up with my kids and at least finish the "advanced elevation" course.) That being said... we had an absolute blast. (Myself and the Mrs. were beaten and bruised and battered and sore afterwards, but we loved it.) The weather wasn't ideal (cold and rainy) but I think that was a blessing in disguise. The workers and guides were all incredible. (They were all supportive, friendly, and passionate about the adventure we were about to jump into.) Each course got a wee bit higher and more challenging and within the actual course I appreciated their 'method to the madness' - they'd break up the taxing (physical) stuff with a zipline as a 'breather' before you had to start to hustle again on some crazy shifting logs or cargo netting. As someone with a bit of experience over the years (ziplining at Hunter Mountain, Ausable Chasm in the Adirondacks, TreeEscape at Mt. Creek) FLG X was by far the most exacting. (But take that with a grain of salt... if you're not in the AARP age range - like myself - you might have a blast and be able to reach the Black Course, including those daunting monkey bars!) Worth every penny, for sure. (Pro tip: make sure you bring or buy a pair of rugged gloves... they're essential.) "GUIDE! GUIDE! GUIDE!"

Im also horrified of heights but i was determined I went through a brief video about the corse and some safety. The young lady from the desk gave a excellent training on safety and proper use of the equipment Then my wife and i was introduced to Matthew our guide Matthew explained everything step by step as we went along My wife had plenty of experience and with Matthew we felt safe for myself and my wife I took my time climbing the latter and Matthew assured me i secured and safe He really gained my trust . I had to take my time and rest for two to five min at a time and Matthew really gave me the confidence i needed to continue Im 60 years old i not old but iam a little broken lol I was a little dehydrated i needed water i thought i was in trouble but no Matthew asked one of the other highly trained staff to get me a bottle of water After that i zipped a few times with no issues i was doing really good. But my arms were going dull because of some prior injuries Matthew helped go down the ladder and i was ok Matthew is a very calm individual professional who knows what he is doing you can tell he had the best training. He really made my experience great I have to add it wasn't very busy so thank god The staff is excellent and these young men and women run a tight ship safety is their priority and second is for their guest to enjoy themselves. The zip line course is great for any level my wife said this was the best one yet and she has been to many. If i can do it i think most people can to Use common sense, listen to the guides they are there for you I cant ever do this ever again because of my injuries of a bad accident i had in 2011 but this was on my bucket list I always wanted to scuba dive but that dream is only a dream But i got to zip line and at no point at all i wasn't in any kind of danger Thank you Matthew for doing your job above and beyond of any on my expectations The harness and the clips and all the safety equipment are the best . You have to listen to the guides have common courtesy and have patience and use the equipment properly and pay attention to what you are doing Its not all to difficult trust me im not to bright and i had a great time Matthew you are a true champ and you will succeed anything you do. I will be for ever grateful i will be recommending this FLG X to everyone. One more important thing thank you so much for making sure my wife and the rest of the quests are safe and everyone was enjoying themselves Great corse also. This Morris county park offers a mix of broad Patriot's path trails, mostly level, and its own…read morenarrow paths through the woods, often scrambles across rocks and roots, also up and down some hills. You can clock almost 7 miles on the outer loop trail, blue and red. Much of the time you're walking along the Black River which is really nice. Don't miss the remains of old stone houses along the way, also a couple waterfalls. The paths are blazed reasonably well, but there are many parallel paths and it's easy to get confused. We kept ourselves oriented with the all trails app, sorry I don't mean to sound like an advertisement, but there are no paper trail maps to take along anymore and few signs along the way, you're kind of on your own. Very little trash in the woods, they're taking good care of this place. The northern parking lot at the Cooper grist mill (old Rt 24) probably has room for 50 cars. The eastern parking lot (Pottersville Rd) is large also.

They were great at responding to my many emails with many questions (even the ones where I was using pool jargon all wrong) and were patient despite many missed calls on my part. I never felt dismissed or belittled and felt like they just wanted to help. Given all my communications with other pool companies, I value their dedication to keeping an open line of communication so much. They ordered us a new cover and closed our pool this year and I am so much happier with the way our pool looks in the winter now (seriously, last winter it was embarrassingly horrendous). Jeremy even brought to my attention some work that our filter needs in the spring, with some photos and red circles to indicate where/what via email. This is the kind of service I'm talking about! (Honestly I still don't really know what's going on, but I trust that Jeremy does and has our best interest in mind.) I suppose I'll have to see how consistent they are for next year, but so far it's been a real pleasure (and relief) to have found and work with Pool MFH.
