Do not trust the fake good reviews. We rented a pontoon last week and had the worst experience. We paid to take the "captain course" in advance which costed us time and money. Nonetheless, on the day of our excursion, we arrived 20 minutes early, still had to wait for our boat, then the employee still took another 40 min past our rental time to show us how to drive the boat, even after we explained that we already paid tons of money and passed the "course." They did not give us any extra rental time. After they allowed us to start our trip, they called us to turn back to the marina, where the manager proceeded to shout and yelled about how we were going too fast, even though we didn't create any wake in the water. The manager then started using racial slurs against us ( our group was composed of asian and caucasian passengers). Nearby was an Indian family who listened to the racial slurs in horror. My three young children were horrified by the outright verbal abuse publicly thrown at us. We considered pursuing legal action against the company. If I could give zero star, I would. Do not come here if you value dignity and respect from their employees or manager. I should've been suspicious when I saw that several other bad reviews were hidden in yelp.... read more

I recently booked with Bridge Marina so that my family and I could celebrate my wife's birthday on Lake Hopatcong. Booking was very easy to do online and being able to see the availability is nice. A week before our reservation, I had called and talked to John over the phone about the rain that was showing on the forecast. He advised me to wait all the way until the 48 hr prior period before rescheduling because the weather could shift, which it did! It ended up being cloudy with enough sunshine peeking thru. We were a party of 10 (to fill the pontoon's max capacity) and still there was plenty of space to move around and spread out on the pontoon. We had Tyler and Jason brief me for the temporary boating license for the day and they were very thorough and helpful. This was my first time piloting a pontoon but it was very easy to control and maneuver. The entire experience was awesome, the weather was perfect, no rain until we left and got home, the price is very reasonable and we are definitely coming back again and again. I had what I thought was a good experience with this marina. We rented 2 premium pontoon boats from them and spent close to $1000 for 8 hours. Not a cheap day... It started out fine with a quick tutorial on how to operated the boats and tie up together. They gave us these ridiculously cheap bumpers to tie up with that hook on the railing with a preset height by the dockworkers. We warned them that it looked low during the tutorial but they assured us it was ok. They were wrong and charged us $150 extra for their error. The boats rubbed together when we were on the water and we continuously tried to readjust the cheap bumper. After arguing my point I was told to my only option was to file a complaint with the cops. Not the type of people you want to do business with. Other marinas on the lake are much more friendly and knowledgeable. Don't give Bridge Marina the time of day read more

I was impressed from the moment I called the place. AAA customer service!!! Easy to navigate website and reservation calendar, helpful and knowledgeable staff, well maintained boats. The only bad experience I had was that I couldn't extend my reservation from a 1/2 day to a full day as they were booked solid. Only a testament to their business and popularity. Prices are reasonable and the boating experience is priceless. If you rent, know that they go over the boat before and after with a fine toothed comb looking for damages (as they should) so take excellent care of their boats and they'll take excellent care of you. Bridge Marina This was our third time renting a boat with Bridge Marina but our first time at their Highlands location. First of all BOTH locations have beautiful, large boats. We have a large crew of 10, plus coolers and fishing gear and the boats accommodate us perfectly. Not only are the boats large but they are impeccably clean. The boats offer a smooth and safe ride and come equipped with GPS and Bluetooth capabilities so you can blast your favorite music. The most notable thing at Bridge Marina is their first class customer service. Everyone we dealt with was very courteous and extremely helpful. Our first two times were at the lake. I was very nervous but they patiently answered all my questions. Our experience at Highlands was exceptional! Ray and Jason are awesome!!!! My husband decided to rent a boat for my birthday. However, he didn't read the website and neglected to get a boating certificate which is required for the Highlands location. Once there, Ray explained everything we had to do to obtain one. He even recommended an office that could help expedite the process as many offices were closed due to Covid. He then took us out and gave my husband a "mini lesson" so he would be more prepared when we came back. He took my husband, myself and our three kids out in the water and gave us a tour of the location. I think he did this because our kids so disappointed that couldn't go out on the boat that day. He spent an hour helping my husband get acquainted with the boat, the area and most important rules of being out alone. He recommended a nice secluded beach in the area where we could spend the day and rescheduled our rental. Despite not being able to rent the boat, Ray saved the day. When we finally got on the boat, Ray spent a good amount of time reviewing everything we needed to know to have a safe and enjoyable day out on the ocean. Ray is very knowledgeable and a great educator. He is passionate about his job and it is evident in how he goes about it. I would recommend this company to anyone from a beginner boater to a seasoned veteran!! read more

Outstanding Experience Rented an immaculately clean 10 seat pontoon boat for a half day through Bridge Marina. It was a great experience from the initial on-line registration process to the arrival when we were greeted by a friendly women in the office to sign documents prior to departure. Upon completing that process, we were greeted by dock personnel who walked us to the boat and one spent as much time as needed to go over the parameters for the day boat license required. He was very thorough and focused heavily on safety and water rules. Vert impressed with his complete presentation. Enjoyed a family cruise for 4 hours using his navigation suggestions. My daughter went swimming (NO ALGAE) and it was a great day mostly because these fine people made it that way. Even the owner came out to greet us upon your return, she was so interested in our experience! First class operation! Worth every penny. read more

I have been doing business with Bridge Marina for over a decade, I even bought my first boat from Ray's father. Recently, I tried to renew my slip for 2015. I was told I would have to spent at least some additional monies on repairs or winterization. I just recently purchase a 20 ft Cobalt bow rider that needed some warranty issues addressed. I explained to Ray, the owner, that I would be taking my boat to the dealer that I purchased my boat. I would having the winterization and repairs done at that dealer. I requested that his service requirement be waived for this year. I thought that after this simple request his answer would be yes. But to my amazement, he was unbending in his determination to put profits ahead of customer service. If you view his great marketing videos, they all state that the customer comes first! The reality is that the cash flow does. Ray has turned this facility around, but now he has gone beyond that point to where it has become a country club. You have to not only pay your slip fees but you need to spent additional dollars for your right to belong. He has motivated me to take my business elsewhere. Beware of the slick marketing videos and friendly smile. It is one thing to want to make a profit but a whole other thing when it goes beyond those terms. I'm not sure what to say about Bridge Marina except that they provided my friends and myself with an absolutely amazing experience. Judging by the amount of boats on the lake, I would say it was a very busy day, so I was fully prepared to be rushed through the entire orientation process and sent on my way. I couldn't be more wrong. I was greeted in the office by the most friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. They explained every thing to me in detail, taking the time to make sure I understood the process and what I was signing, while making sure I get to the lake as fast as possible. Even with all of the paperwork you have to sign, the process was simple, and best of all, quick. During the orientation, everything was explained to me in detail without any of the technical jargon that would've confused (and probably scared away) a novice like myself. As small of a thing as this may be to them, it made a world of difference to me as far as making me feel more confident and comfortable with taking the boat out. Our instructor took the time to answer all my questions, and even stood by and listened while I repeated everything he explained to make sure I understood all of the instructions. At the end of the orientation, I felt more than ready to take the pontoon boat out and start cruising the lake. Since this was my first time ever taking a boat out, I was at first very nervous, but the greeting at the office and the superb orientation put all of my fears aside and helped me provide a wonderful day on the lake for my friends. A HUGE thank you to everyone at Bridge Marina. I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful experience it has been. With so many businesses forgetting that it's the customers that come first, it was nice to come across a place like Bridge Marina. Not only did I feel like my needs were being put first, but I felt like I was the ONLY customer and the whole marina was there to provide me with support. We were looking for something new to do during our covid stay-cation. We rented a pontoon boat and had a great time! The pontoon boat feels like new and is very comfortable. The boat fits ten; we had six and there was lots of room for our picnic and gear and to spread out. The rental is for seven hours. We could only use it for five hours on the day we happened to rent and can easily see how it we could use it for the full seven hours. It was our first time on a boat on the lake and it was easy to find our way around. It was part touring the beauty of the lake, looking at the beautiful lake homes, stopping for a swim (easy to jump in the lake and to get back onboard with the ladder onto the boat) and seeing an occasional bald eagle flying overhead. The staff was great and very helpful in explaining the functionality of the boat. Next time we will plan for the full day and include stopping at a lakeside restaurant for lunch. read more

I am almost not wanting to write this as I would like to keep this hidden gem to myself. I grew up in Minnesota and boating was a weekend fun time for our family and friends all summer long. Moved here 21 years ago and had not boated since. I found my new Love....Bridge Marina. From the time you call to book your reservation to the time you return the boat they are first class. The entire process of renting a boat in seamless and even when you enter the parking lot they have someone directing you to a parking spot and then they bring a cart for your days needs (Cooler, bags, etc) and take it to the boat and place aboard for you. Now the boat......you would think they are brand new as they are in perfect condition and new models with great layouts, depth finder, unbelievable sound system with Bluetooth.....they far exceeded my expectations. My friends that joined us said this was better than a day at the jersey shore.....as they had never experienced boating before on such a gorgeous boat! They even provide life vests for the children beyond the required lifejackets on the boats...fitted to fit the age of your child....no need to go out and buy....the two girls had a great time swimming off the back of the boat in the coves.. Next year or sooner I am joining their boating club and making this wonderful experience part of my lifestyle again. I have been coming to Lake Hopatcong my whole life and Bridge Marina is the "go to" place for anything boating. Recently I had to sell my father's old boat and was in a bind because I had no way to transport the boat or get it into the water. Bridge Marina was able to tow the boat to the marina, detail it and even had it sold all within 2 weeks! They pretty much took care of everything... the whole experience was pretty amazing. All the workers around the property were always smiling and friendly. I will definitely be back to rent a boat (and hopefully in the future buy one). read more

This Marina used to be great but the reservation system is terrible and sometimes the service is so so. Once a new guy tried to get us in a 8 person boat and he was going to charge us the same price as the 10 person boat. Luckily we know a different employee there so we got on our 10 person boat that we actually managed to reserve for once. read more

All of the products in their store are overpriced, and while the service prices may not seem like much, they nickle and dime you until it costs much more than they initially tell you. For the 6th consecutive summer, a group of friends rented a pontoon boat from Bridge Marina. The staff is attentive and friendly and you never seem to have to look for anyone as they are always right there for you. Amazingly, the boats are brand new every single season and more importantly, they are clean and comfortable. Another fantastic day on the lake. I know that there have been a few "bad apples" that effected some change in the full day rentals on the lake and from a business prospective, I have to admit that I understand it and agree. While the loss of 2 hours on the lake and no decrease in the cost of a full day rental are still kind of a downer, it didn't ruin our good times on the lake. When we returned the boat, we were greeted by Ray (one of the owners) who was very friendly and even though we were upset about the shortened day, he spent the time explaining it to us and kept it friendly and professional. Bridge Marina has the best service, best people, best business ethics and best facilities, hands down, on Lake Hopatcong. We purchased two Yamaha jet skis from Ray earlier in the season. He helped guide us to the right product for our needs without overselling us anything and clearly communicated on timing and expectations. We stopped by the Marina after we took delivery of them to discuss the waveports and how to dock the wave runners properly since we were not used to the drive on ports. Ray personally rode down to the house that morning with us. He spent over an hour painstakingly showing us how to dock them and adjusting the ports. Great personal service. Fast forward to Fourth of July weekend, just after the fireworks were ending, hundreds of boats in line behind us waiting to cross under Brady Bridge. Our sea ray died and we could not get it started, literally drifting in the way of all the boats, blocking the bridge. We tried to pull it to the side and waited with a boat full of people to figure out what to do. I hysterically ran over to bridge marina - had to be 11pm, found Ray on the docks, and he was able to grab his kit, run over to it, get it started, and run it back to the marina in no less than 10 minutes. He gave a few people in our party a ride back to our house to grab cars to get everyone home from the marina. We get a call at 10AM the next morning from Dennis. Our boat is fixed and we can pick it up whenever that day or he can run it down to the house. Happened it was something small, just a small electrical part that burned out but they had it fixed in less than 12 hours, on a holiday weekend none-the-less. Fair price on the repair. We really appreciated it considering we had a bunch of friends up from the city that weekend. I know if I went to any other marina on the lake that night, frazzled with a broken down boat, there is no way anyone would have given me the time of day. We appreciate good service, and like to build relationships with people we trust and we know we'll do business with them for years to come. Huge thanks to Ray and Dennis for pulling us out of a situation that could have been a real buzz kill that weekend. Ray also spends time supporting the lake and community which I think says a lot about a business. For anything we need on the lake, whether it is gas, boating supplies or a boat--you won't find us anywhere else. read more
