The following is a brief summary of my experiences with this office. (Both of my parents are in their 80's ) -Dr Costell is kind and patient. Unfortunately he is unable to 'fix' any issues you may have with the office. -The office routinely refers their patients experiencing memory challenge to facilities that do not accept Medicare without alerting them or offering them alternative facilities that accept their insurance. "Office policy". - Appointments seem to be scheduled every 4 months, regardless of when the results of your test come in. -More often than not, you will have to request the test results to be posted in the patient's portal. Be sure the complete test is posted before the next office visit. - In summary, dealing with the office has been a nightmare!

She had not seen him in five years due to Covid and my father's passing. The girl on the phone never bothered to tell me that they move their office. So we showed up and to the wrong place. The office is still listed in the phonebook under the old address. When I finally spoke to the office and asked where they are now she insisted that she told me that they moved , which is not true. When I finally got my mom to the correct office that day a little while later we were then told he refused to treat my mother because she lived in assisted-living. So I spent the whole day running around with an 87-year-old woman from office to office only for them to tell us they refuse to treat her . I don't know how this is possibly legal all because of where she lives. Sounds like discrimination to me

The transition was seamless, and I'm so grateful to have found such an excellent primary care provider. Although Alexandra Jones is not an MD, she is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and I honestly wouldn't want anyone else as my primary care provider. I see specialists for basically everything, so having a primary who is compassionate, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and truly attentive is what matters most to me. She never makes appointments feel rushed, takes the time to really listen, and always makes me feel comfortable and cared for. It's also very easy to get an appointment when needed, which I really appreciate.

My final appointment was the reason I decided to change doctors. After waiting about 30 minutes, I was called in only to be asked why I was there, as if she had not reviewed my medical record. When I told her it was time for my annual physical, she said she did not have enough time to do it. I reminded her that I had already been waiting for about 30 minutes, but she replied that it had only been 25 minutes and told me to come back the following month. I also asked if she could order my blood work in advance so we could discuss the results at my next visit, but she refused and said she would only order it when I came back for the physical. Throughout my visits, I often felt unheard. She frequently interrupted me before I could finish explaining my concerns and gave me the impression that she was not truly listening. I never felt that my time or my health concerns were a priority. To be clear, my comments are directed solely at the physician. The nursing staff and the front desk team were always kind, courteous, and professional, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them.

There were 2 women when I went in working at the reception area. One woman looked as if she absolutely didn't want to be there. Never smiled or greeted me into the office. The other younger woman was more pleasant. Both though could use a Course on, "Reception Area Requirements!" My visit with Dr. Barton was pleasant as usual.
