These guys advertise they do keys for Volkswagen they don't do key fob. They also told me nobody cuts these keys but the dealer not true, this business doesn't however plenty of businesses do . I feel just because they don't have the equipment to cut the keys that I need there answer was go to the dealer because there the only ones who can cut them which is not true because there is other locksmiths who offer these services it's just barneys that don't. read more

Good reviews aren't everything. Their web site says that they program automobile remotes. They actually use a subcontractor (a descendent of Jesse James) who quoted $10 more than the Lexus dealer! As the 1 star indicates, "Methinks not.." read more

Terribly rude!!! I said hello when I walked in and didn't get a response. I then said I needed a key copied. I handed the key to the man behind the counter, who promptly took it and said, "How many?". I said "2 please." He turned away, made the keys, and tossed the original on the counter. I didn't think much of it until I handed him my credit card. He then threw the 2 new keys on the counter. I was furious. Never again. read more

It's been a frustrating week of trying to find a locksmith who will call me back or who isn't out of business. Well, What a great shop I found. Firstly, a live person answered the phone-no voicemail for a change! I was told to come on over and so I did. They have been there 50 years and you can tell by the variety of "vintage" looking items in the store. You can probably find almost every style key at this place. The man that helped me (wish I would have gotten his name) was a gem, we had a nice chat, and so was the other man who was helping someone else ( I was paying attention while waiting for my keys) so they are both nice & helpful. You don't get service like this anymore. These gents are old-school and that's hard to find today. They are helpful, nice, honest and reliable. Make BARNEY'S your new locksmith you will be so relieved just as I am that I found someone trustworthy. One less thing for me to to worry about! read more

awesome mobile locksmith service. i used them to rekey a water heater on the side of my dads house. prompt service, and i didnt even have to show up to the location. they were able to charge me over the phone. highly recommended. read more

Today our locks failed on us and we were locked out of our house after just returning from a trip to Cosco and with our two young children. Made a phone call these guys came within 20 minutes were able to drill out the lock and get us back in our house saving the day! they were fast professionals and price was reasonable, I recommend using their services to anyone. What a day! Key broke clean off in lock as I was trying to let my dogs out to do their business. Called around to other highly-rated local locksmiths (from Yelp listings) and was told I would be very lucky indeed if someone would be able to come out same day since everyone (called 4 other businesses) already swamped or out on jobs too far away from my home. TALK ABOUT DESPERATE - yard is only place for my dogs! One last listing: Barney 's. Called with fingers crossed; he not only comes within an hour of my calling him, but did his best to just keep the mechanism and only replace the key. Jammed in too deep to dislodge, so he fixed it with as little damage as possible and my problem was solved. YAY! Very nice gentleman, good work, speedy service and fair price. Stopped by to have something fixed on a doorknob. It was an easy fix but I did not have the correct tools. The man fixed it, it took him about a minute and when he was done I asked him how much and he didn't want to charge me. So instead of payment I made copies of my house keys and he was happy with that! Good guy I would go to him again read more
