My wife and I love the Barnyard Flea Market in South Augusta. It's chock full of ALL kinds of vendors with some fabulous finds awaiting the adventurous and curious. Everything from electronics to small appliances to art, nicknacks, used fishing poles, unique gifts and more. Last weekend, we went specifically to get produce at the excellent produce stand. We got 4 large heads of cabbage, 2-3 pounds of carrots, a large bag of pablano peppers, a large bag of tomatios, and a few big tumeric roots for about $20. Everything is fresh and there's a huge variety. Overall, the Barnyard Flea Market is an excellent resource for anyone in the CSRA. I encourage a visit and wager it won't be your last. read more

Selection is great, something for everyone. HOWEVER don't try to take your service dogs in. They will tell you to leave but will let non trained mutts in strollers stay. Doesn't make sense to me, but their loss! read more

I have a few favorite booths but if you can't find something you're interested in here I don't now what to tell you! There are electronics, purses, military gear, household goods, arts and crafts, yard sale type options, food vendors, shoes, clothes, and -- my favorite -- gemstones! Come visit on a weekend with nice weather but makes sure to set aside a few hours to just wander around and take it all in. Horrible Mexican counterfeit goods sold here looks nicer than most but on par with Commerce GA flea market. Don't waste your time. The one down the street is jankier but better quality of goods. read more

If you've been to one flea market then you know typically know what to expect. The Barnyard Flea Market is no different. It's a huge market with several rental spaces. Most of the rental spaces here are filled. This particular flea market has a large number of second hand goods and few sell new items. I'm a huge fan of visiting the fruit and vegetable vendors at the flea market, it's much like a farmers market in a particular section. If you want to get the best fruit and vegetables from the flea market vendors, you should plan to visit in the morning. By the afternoon, most of the best is gone. The flea market has some seasonal vendors also. Many you'll only find during the Spring/Summer. There are also speciality services like window tenting, car stereo installment, and cell phone repair. The Barnyard Flea market also has a cafe where you can choose from some artery clogging favorites like fried oreos, moon pies, snickers, and twinkles. I've had the fried oreos before and I'm a fan. They also serve hotdogs, hamburgers, fries etc., but I've never tried any. This is also one of the only places where you can find Pepsi vending machines. I don't drink soda often, but I like an occasional Pepsi, which is sometimes hard to find here in Coke country. The Barnyard Flea Market is located close to the interstate, which makes it easily accessible. You can't miss the signage once you exit. The parking lot is made of gravel, which is so annoying. But this flea market is completely covered, which is a major plus during hot Georgia summer. If you wan't to rent space, the office is located in the front. All of a sudden they started not letting vendors who have not prepaid only purchased tables 2 hours after their opening. They could at least put on their Facebook page or on their website that they were not allowing vendors to get tables instead of having us set up here and wait to buy a table after business has been started they claim it's a glitch in the computer but that's not possible. Unless you're going to prepay for a table I do not recommend this flea market they need new owners. read more

Meh. I mean it's a flea market - if you've been to one, you've been to 'em all. This one is nothing special, and it's kind of overwhelming due to the size. It's a huge flea market with tons of vendors and tons of stuff to look at! I mean if you have the time to walk through the whole thing, then by all means, but make sure you have a significant amount of time carved out of your day that you can dedicate to walking through here. read more

Main reason I love this fleamarket, it's because it's in my hometown! Over the years I've made some fabulous buys here. I've also made some good friends here. I suppose I've been using this flea market for so long that I really feel I know it will. I'd like to see it expand and become something awesome. It's never really fulfilled its potential. Three markets are so much more than places to find bargains and unusual items it's a place where you can go and explore the past a certain way. Let me start by saying this is typically not my favorite flea market, but this past weekend my husband and I took the kids for their first flea market experience and I was very happily surprised. Sure, there's lots of secondhand merchandise (not a problem for me as I am always wanting to find the Renoir in the junk pile) and some cheap chinese merchandise, but most flea markets do. We saw farm animals (guineas, chickens, and ducks), lots of produce, tons of comic books, Funko pop, wrestling action figures, china and glasses (which was my favorite because I even came across some Lenox and Spode!), a couple coin operated rides for the kids, and one of those character photo prop boards you put your head in and take a pic. Towards the end of our visit we decided to eat lunch there, and I was so glad we did! I decided to try the grilled pimiento cheese sandwich (which was so good!) and the deep fried moon pie (because go big or go home) and that was like heaven on a plate! The lemonade was also delicious and sweet like most flea market lemonades are. and to top it off, as we were leaving there was a man singing Folsom Prison Blues on a small stage near the cafe. Its just like any other flea market! They have a lot of parking and it seems to be a place people hang out on Saturday. I only go to the flea market for black saop (I use it to clean my face). I do like the fresh produce. They have some iyems cheaper than some drug stores and grocery stores. They have an ATM at the front entrance just in case you forget cash (who carries that anymore). I am happy the flea market is there so I can get what I need for the low, low! read more

While I'm not a fan of flea markets, this one seems full of second hand items. There were also a lot of things that looked as if they were cheap items from China. Not exactly what I was looking for when I went there. I guess you have to visit a few times to get a feel for the right time, and best vendors, to find things that suit your own needs. read more

I like the Barnyard Flea Market but it seems like the quality of merchandise has declined over the last few years. They really need to do away with that person think Freddie's something or other that sells the chickens. All of them end up dying or are sick and the other animals he sells are no better. it was OK for a flea market, most of the product is not what you would find in a flea market, most of the stuff were from china, the same product you can get in a discount store. the fruits and and vegetables were very expensive, but more fresh than supermarkets. other than that the vendors are very courteous and helpful. and the lady selling bullet shells was very cute. read more

Use to be a nice place to shop and set up. Bad Management. Vendors are allowed to shout out over other vendors who are trying to talk with their customers and can't hear.You can scream out to get people to your table. Not a pleasant place to shop at . If you have a problem with a vendor , management will side with the vendor over the customer, or if 2 vendors have a problem, she sides with the vendor who pays out more to sell there. Also, one table can have nice things for sell like new summer dresses and sunglasses, then you have a table selling items that smell like mildew and they may also be smoking a cigar ,and now the new clothes set up next to them smells like cigar. Also after 4pm when the office closes the people who sell the car radios play loud music with cuss words, and the cars they service booms out bass sounds where people are still selling ,and trying to talk to customers. Lots of verbal fights, thieves, gangs,... hang out there. People will walk in between vendor spaces coming in and out, so keep your purse close to you! read more
