I've only had one bad experience out of the 20 times I've shopped here. And it was so bad, my day…read morewas ruined and over some stupid toys that were in a bin for 5/$1. I guess the lady at the register was having a bad day and decided to take it out on me. Treated me like I was a scammer or liar. It wasn't worth the argumentative and contemptuous reaction we received and it was my daughter's first time coming. My mother is in a wheelchair and the 3 of us were having a wonderful afternoon until that woman ruined our vibe. Of course, I was correct about the sale but she just didn't believe me and wouldn't take the time to walk over there and verify. A manager came over because I was getting upset at the way I was being talked to. If you raise your voice to me, oh... you will get back what you're dishing out. Anyways, whatever! Ridiculous Now with that out of the way, CSS is my favorite thrift shop. It's nice knowing that the profits help families and the community after emergency situations and it's a lot cleaner than a lot of other thrift stores. If you have boujee friends, they have a boutique section with more upscale and newer things. I, personally go straight to the $1 racks(and I always find something!) and their bin sales. I've found 2 Calvin Klein dresses(at different times) on the $1 racks. But I've bought things from every section they have. They even put out free stuff by the entrance/exit. I'm too old for prom dresses, but they have a lot of beautiful gowns and evening dresses for cheap. If you're low on cash and need a gorgeous wedding dress, look here first. You won't regret it! But the customer service is(with the exception of that one day) great. They do have paid employees but they depend on their volunteers to keep inventory flowing. Even the volunteers have been helpful to me when I need to plug in an appliance or try out some furniture. Although they won't help load or deliver. Just be prepared if you're buying large items. One more thing. If your cell phone has CASHAPP, they have a rewards program that you can use for a discount and CASHAPP keeps up with the points. I didn't sign up for it until after I'd spent over $100 and I kept coming back. So, I missed out on those points.

Catholic Social Services Thrift Store is located near downtown and easily accessible to low-income…read morecommunities in need. Anyone can shop here! They are constantly putting new stock out and I've acquired everything from kitchen appliances to nice work clothes, vintage jewelry.and accessories, decorative items, linens, and sporting goods. They have it all. Like any thrift store, their stock changes and depends on what is donated, so checking in frequently will be your best bet to find the items you need. The prices are excellent for a thrift store these days. Clothing items tend to be around $2.50, as do shoes. Accessories are also inexpensive. They charge a bit more for the luxury items that come through and jewelry is priced on a case by case basis, but they never gouge you. You can always find gems here. I highly recommend shopping here and donating as it benefits the community. They are known for accepting vouchers to help low-income and people in need get work clothes and school clothes for kids. I've included some.images of items I've purchased here. You can find quality clothing items here that will last you a long time. They also have a huge bin of cheap clothes like t-shirts and shorts suitable for outdoor work and here's where you can find clothes for kids that won't break the bank. It takes time to shift through the bins but at such a. Cheap price it often pays off.

About 35 years ago in California, I bought a beautiful Oil Brushed Bronze floor lamp for my mom's…read more50th birthday. It had 2 side lamps, and a top dimmer lamp. Well, after assembling, disassembling, and reassembling it 8 times for moving, the move to Georgia was too much for it. And, the tube threads were stripped. Taking to the only lamp repair place within 30 miles didn't help due to the type of male threads (bushing vs bolt). And, even ordering one from Amazon didn't work, as the side globes didn't seat properly. So, for sure, I thought I'd be getting rid of the entire lamp. But, I kept the shades, and hoped that one day, I'd find a suitable replacement. And, yesterday morning, I did! Yay!While this floor lamp isn't identical to mine, it did suit my needs. Especially, since it'll be put in a corner, the single side bulb is probably a better bet. Even though the lady from yesterday wasn't working, the lady today was just as nice. And, very helpful, as she held the lamp While I unscrewed the original shade holder. After checking to see that the top shade fit (see picture; the shades are from my lamp), I bought it. And, even better, by paying cash, I got a 10% discount. Yay!

Great shopping experience! I always find something I can't live without! Very clean and well…read moredisplayed!!

Visited this thrift store for their big annual discount sale. The back half of the store (old…read morewarehouse) reeks of cigarette smoke. It was impossible to determine if the smell was coming from something inside the large room (i.e., furniture, rugs, items, etc.) or if that was just the way it always smelled. They keep the children's toys and items in this part of the store, among many other things. I've had severe asthma my whole life, so even just being in that room was enough to make me start coughing. They have so much of their own decor that it can be confusing when trying to figure out what is actually for sale and what belongs to the store. Additionally, the store does not individually price a large amount of items (which are clearly for sale!) which is very frustrating (some areas have signs w/prices, others do not). Items that have been priced, vary greatly. For example, a very cheap purse might be listed at $20+ while a name brand purse is listed at $8. They have a section of designer/name brand items that is also marked up significantly. It would make sense if their prices were a fraction of what the item cost brand-new, but they're out here charging $35+ for very used leggings! And they weren't even Lululemon! The cashier was disengaged and barely acknowledged shoppers, despite the long line. It takes .10 seconds to make eye contact and greet a person. There are so many better, more reasonably priced stores in the area, so this is a no for me.
