He arrived almost 2 hours later than our arranged time. Wasn't a big deal. He did a decent job with the lights. He could not hang all the shutters due to humidity and said he would come back to finish the job. I paid him the remaining $400 when he came back July 11. On July 15, I texted Justin to let him know a shutter had come off the house, and another was close to falling off. It is now Sept. 6 and after multiple texts and several promises to return, he has not been back and has stopped responding to my messages. The second shutter did come off, as well as a third. Please do not hire Justin/Knuckle Busters. I feel bad writing a review like this, but I am not sure what else to do at this point. I feel my messages were reasonable and it's not like I hounded him every day. I just want the job I paid for to be finished satisfactorily. It's not a lot to ask for.

We met with several companies, including some larger painting firms but after meeting Jerome it felt like a breath of fresh air. In the initial site visit/estimate we got to learn about Hansen painting co in which Jerome after 30 years of industry experience started his own company. Jerome was friendly, easy to talk to, detail oriented, professional and had a great sense of humor! He ensured in our meeting that we understood his process and had a clear understanding of the work he includes - as well he made super helpful suggestions regarding paint brands, finishes/sheen and helped my wife build confidence in all color selections. Jerome scheduled the work 2 weeks out. The first day they taped, covered everything and got right to it. Jerome was on site with his employees working with them the whole day and it was clear the respect his whole team had for him and how they adopted his values and craftsmanship. Jerome and his team finished full interior paint on our 3000sqft home 2 days ahead of schedule! The day before finishing, Jerome walked through with me and pointed out the small touch ups him and his team were completing the next day prior to closing out, and insisted we point out anything we were unhappy with, in which he called out anything I noticed and more. to be honest I was still in awe of the quality of work. I've done many remodeling projects and couldn't be happier with what Hansen painting Co and Jerome have done to completely transform my home! My dining room is connected to the living room and he did not have to do the dining room as he matched the paint perfectly. I am a hard person to please as I have a little OCD. We hired Ray and his crew last spring/summer to paint our house exterior and stain our deck. While…read morethe house turned out great, the deck has been a total nightmare. It was stained too early after a rain and the stain failed to adhere properly. After making Ray aware of the situation he did come back to redo the work, and suggested switching to a waterproof dock paint to resolve the moisture and bubbling issue, however after just one winter the deck is now bubbling and peeling all over the place. I fear we are going to have to have the whole thing sanded and redone. So very disappointing. We literally cannot walk on our deck without large chunks of stain/paint scraping off. I feel sick about the money we wasted. When you hire work out you kind of expect it to be done correctly. We now have a big mess on our hands!
