What a great find on our road trip. The staff at the Sleep and across the street told us about this place. Kind of off the beaten path in a gravel parking lot. " you had to know about it." Delightful staff and owner. Meatball Sub and Italian sub with delicious. Furnishings on the inside are a little tired, but the food is worth it

My wife and I came down to visit out son. He told us about Barone Brother's Pizza place. I went in hoping to find out that they were some sort of distant relation but sad to say, no. Even though I was disappointed to find out that Mark Barone (the owner) was not related, I was not disappointed with the pizza. We ordered a Supreme Medium and Hawaiian Medium. Both were cooked perfectly and very tasty. The sauce was very good -- not spicy or acidic. The crust was well cooked, not doughy and filling. Overall, the pizza was very good. Barone Brother's Pizza has been in existence for 16 years. Originally owned by Mark and his brother, it has been owned by Mark and Nicky (his lovely wife) for the last 11 years. While we were there were quite a number of people taking out, especially subs! If you are looking to support a local business, and are in the mood for pizza and subs, then look no further.

Nice staff, and quick service. Pizza is VERY basic. It's like if Gino's and Little Caesars had a love child. It's not bad, and for a quick last minute dinner if you're not passing by anywhere else locally I would suggest it. Other than that, it will not be a staple place when there are many other much better pizza joints in Charleston. The crust was reminiscent of pillsbury dough pizza crust, and the sauce was more like a herby marinara dipping sauce crossed with a spaghetti sauce. Cheese was good and they're generous when you order it with extra cheese. Overall an OK pizza.

A must try just north of Charleston directly off I-79 exit 1 Mink Shoals. Got a large Meatball specialty, large pepperoni and banana pepper and cheesy bread sticks.

I just moved here from NJ. The owner Mark is a Jersey guy like me. Sandwiches are amazing and remind me of home!

Stopped in for a bite and the food was good. The overall ambiance could be better but otherwise fast friendly service.

Nastiest tasting pizza I ever had. Workers inside must be the owners because they are also very cocky.

Best Pizza around town. If you haven't been here, you need to get here pronto. It's right down from where I work. So I stop here often.

I wanted to try something new and interesting and through my Yelp research I found this spot. It's located in downtown with metered street parking free Monday-Saturday nights after 6pm and all of Sunday. Luckily, we were able to find a spot easily. Inside was modern and relatively clean. We had to wait a little bit to be seated as they were pretty busy; however, this place had a decent amount of seating and space. Service was good overall, but it wasn't as consistent as I would've liked for actions such as water refills, asking for extra napkins, etc. This was partly because they were very busy that night. They have a variety of food options - apps, salads, sandwiches, pies (pizzas), and dessert. We ended up ordering a large pizza (thin crust) to split - half Thai and half Chicken Gouda. Both were yummy although the crust was a tad burnt - nothing bad to the extent that taking bites were an effort. Overall, I preferred the Thai since I've never come across a Thai style pizza and I could really taste the curry sauce. The only downside of the Thai was that the shrimp were slightly overcooked, which could be potentially explained by us ordering a pizza split in two styles with them cooking the entire pizza evenly versus what is needed for each ingredient. We finished the entire pizza between the two of us, but I could see someone having some leftovers. If possible, they might want to do some minor pest management. The entire time of our visit a fruit fly or gnat was hovering around us and the food. We tried to catch it and protect the food, only for it to ultimately take a permanent dip in my water. My overall assessment was that it was a good place to try in the city. It's not something I would crave, but I wouldn't mind coming back again if I was in the area.

We were surprised that the food was out in like 15 minutes. We fully expected to wait since Detroit Deep Dish normally takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes to cook fully. This led us to believe it was PAR BAKED for faster Customer Service which to many is NOT A PLUS! The Garlic Knots were very doughy and extremely dense in texture. Not a fan! The service was fast and friendly but for the atmosphere, price and the fact they are trying to be trendy, the paper plates & plastic cutlery was a BIG NEGATIVE!! I know myself even if Melanac Hard Plastic for plates is okay, but I want true Silverware!! The sauce has a really Great flavor and the cheese pull was very nice on the pizza. The sauce served on top, a big big plus!! I live in Ripley, WV and drove 35 minutes one way to enjoy this meal, but the question is...would I do it again?? Probably NOT! I give them a 5 out of 5 on atmosphere and ambience they nailed that! I give them a 4 out 5 on Customer Service because the food came too fast!! I give them a 3 out 5 for the food, the sauce was perfect but everything else about taste and flavor was a hit and miss. The score might have been higher if I had left off the Knotty Boy Garlic Knots!! The beer though I tasted it wasnt bad but Im not a beer drinker, my hubby was very disappointed so thats 2 out of 5 stars and the tableware scores a zero!! I wasn't on a picnic and the paper and plastic screams picnic or lazy kitchen staff to me!! So, would I recommend? I must say overall, 3 stars out of 5 stars! I recommend you go and decide for yourself!
