Entry was $7 for our baby and nothing for us to supervise (we were allowed in and to help her down things etc as shes so little. Usually the sessions are 2 hours long but as we were there in the last session and they weren't busy we were allowed to stay as long as we liked. The under 5's section has 4 main inflatable areas, one big farm jumping castle which Boo didn't go on as it was walled and we couldn't see her inside it, a globe jumping castle with slide, a basketball inflatable 'court' and a smurfs inflatable area with slide. They also had an area with big blocks etc to play with. Everything is quite safe and well placed that i wasn't concerned at all (except when she fell sideways down the slide but SHE loved that!) Boo had a ball and played so much she was exhausted when we left. The adult/big kids areas looked like a blast too and its great that they cover all ages so anyone can have fun. They have an indoor cafe and toilets etc for convenience. They take credit cards (except AMEX) and cash. There are also benches for the adults to sit and watch if they like or you can sit in the cafe area.

When I was just a little tacker my mummy and daddy used to take me here with my gang (I was the boss), for an afternoon of red cordial fueled craziness that usually ended up in more than one limb requiring amputation (thats kid talk for a grazed knee with bits of ashfalt stuck under the skin). The old people enjoyed it too with bbq areas and plenty of space for beer enhanced Cricket (Eagle Blue was the choice of the time If I recall). Things have changed a bit over the years with the safety patrol ripping out some of the more enjoyable pieces of equipment because it was deemed too dangerous. Upon reflection I am actually stunned that I walked away alive after each visit! Even with the reduction of carnage, the soul is still firmly within the Playground, with the Fort, Maze and Priate ship still intact. If you do head out that way for the day, make sure you bring your inner kid, because if you don't at least fire up on the flying fox you will regret it because it is CRAZY fun!

Okay, when I was young we would come out here…read moreand run around the castle, get lost in the maze, and unsuccessfully try to push the pirate ship back out to sea, but honestly when I grew up, nothing changed. I remember when we would all, on the spur on the moment jump into somebody's car and drive up here for a day of flying foxes, slides, running around the maze, and of course trying unsuccessfully to refloat that damn pirate ship (maybe we should have brought to wood to try and plug up that hole). In a way little has changed because the pirate ship is still stuck on the rocks, and the castle still sits atop its hill dominating the skyline, however many of the older attractions have disappeared (no doubt due to legal advice). There was once a train that ran along the side of the park - no more; and the maze from what I can remember was vastly different. They have also closed off the slide that ran down the interior of the volcano. Still, this place will always have great memories.

Very reassuring to see this business doing the right thing. The huge slide is a bit hard on the rear when assisting a youngster down. Solo older kids 6+ wouldn't care, I'm sure. It makes me wish I was 20 years younger as I followed my toddler around the padded maze! There is a seperate 'under 3's' section that my under 2 doesn't find overly interesting, as the climbing area is too difficult for her and even the small slide is too difficult a climb. In honesty, this was a poor design and should be redone at some stage. It doesn't count as a star loss though, as the usability of the rest of the huge play area means this is moot. Coffee and food is very good quality, but usually a bit slow to come out when things get busy. They would be smart to reduce the huge menu and do fewer options more efficiently. I have found the staff to be polite and accommodating. I see a poor review due to offence taken over being told to not drink bottled water bought in. This must be tricky to police as many kids use no- spill bottles that may well be filled before entering. Places like this make their $ from selling munchies and drinks after the entrance fee is paid. While the staff member may have been gruff, visitors would be well advised to go with buying drinks and food and don't bring anything in. This will avoid conflict and is the right thing to do for the long term viability of these types of businesses. So, any of my criticism is somewhat petty and largely irrelevant to enjoyment of the facility. Be sure to ring and book, it's a popular place!

As soon as we paid (a reasonable $6) and walked through the door she was off running up and down. There were a very reasonable amount of tables and chairs for adults and a massive play area for the children. We missed the train ride due to times so I cannot comment on that but it looked great and is only $2 per child. The cafe part was priced well and my soy cappa was lovely. Boo and I both got snack plates and shared dips which she loved and hubby had a burger which he enjoyed. The play equipment seemed clean, and well kept and we all enjoyed our time there. They do parties which are priced well and the party rooms looked great. All staff were friendly, dishes were cleared quickly and they were keen to help in any way. We will be back.

I don't know how my hubby knew this one was here but somehow we ended up here. It is alongside a busy main road in gawler where cars are driving quite fast. There is off-road parking just past the playground. I was a bit shocked to see the latch is broken so you can only keep the gate closed with a big yank. The playground equipment was in good order with nothing broken or needing maintenance. We used all of the equipment and the little one had a ball as did us big ones! I particularly liked the spinning stand and my husband liked the monkey bars! We will probably bring her back here next time we are in gawler. I only recommend making sure you check that gate is latched!!!!

The Kapunda Lions club has done a great job here. Leo has had a mega makeover and so has the area, with gorgeous green grass, gazebo, toilets and two play areas. One area is for bigger kids and the area we spent time in is for the littlies. All the equipment is in good order and looks great. Nothing is rickety or unsafe. Boo especially liked the wombat rocker and the baby swing (getting harder to find these days). The train is really cool because you can go inside it and play, pretend you are the driver etc. We could spend hours here and we will be back every time we visit grandma!

My Dad used to be kind of a pro bowler, and would compete her every Monday night for hours…read more I used to go along sometimes and hang in the creche, play the skill testers and run amok with the other lonely kids. Bowling is an awesome activity, I used to love going during school holidays and for birthday parties, and have been hanging out for ages to go lately! Golden Grove is one of the biggest and oldest bowling centres I've been to around Adelaide, and the place is very open and fun. The lanes are quite easy, have bumpers, are quite well serviced and the technology has been upgrading constantly. There are plenty of balls to choose from, good food, a bar and pro shop. One thing with bowling though, it's not the cheapest.. so take advantage of holiday deals and get a group together. But it's a nice, cool way to spend a few hours in a hot summer.
