I felt that 1st grade was a really important year and I wanted to make sure she had a solid academic foundation. She attended summer camp before 1st grade and loved it!!! She said it was her favorite camp of the summer - which says a lot since she was in a lot of great camps. My daughter now goes once week for 1st grade Smart Start. Despite being in an immersion program where only 20% of the day is in English, my daughter is reading 1-2 grade levels above and what is more important is that absolutely loves reading!!! I couldn't be happier with her progress and her appreciation of literature. Ms. Frank is a master of her craft and her enthusiasm for literature is infectious! We're so happy that we found Club Lit!

What makes this even more frustrating is that I have received FREE assessments elsewhere that provided actual data, work samples, feedback, and useful information about my child. I expected significantly more from an assessment that cost $350. More than a month without providing a parent with any meaningful feedback or documentation after a paid assessment is incredibly disappointing. I cannot believe the lack of communication and professionalism surrounding this experience, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this service. I should have known better walking into a complete mess and disorganized environment while meeting with me while also taking another students tutoring time. As a Dana Point local I wanted to love this place. I could go on and on.

The next day and the day after that, they would call me to pick him up because they didn't want to deal with him anymore. Over something small. She always had great ideas on how to get kids involved in activities even if they were a bit shy. She came to classes with tons of material and adjusted to kids' pace and level yet pushed them to do more in a playful form. She's very sweet and friendly, so my daughter felt no pressure, and always wanted to go to her classes. Later on, when my son was going through the same stage, we didn't have any doubts whether to sign up for Ms. Kyria's class or not. Ms. Kyria was always great at communicating with parents, sent us materials to work at home, shared pictures from her classes, so we always knew what's going on. It's not a fluke, rather the process they use. As a child (many years ago!), I struggled with basic algebra for years, until I had the right teacher come along.
